Fat Boys Pizza makes the LARGEST pizza slices I've seen anywhere in the Southern USA. However, bigger is not better unfortunately as when it comes to taste Fat Boys Pizza is at rock bottom on my list of pizza places as I just don't find their pizza to taste good. This spot is fantastic for children and kids really enjoy the ambiance here as there are lots of things for them to do. My friend with kids end up here very frequently as their kids love this spot. The service is alright and the main pro is that they do a great job of catering to kids. First time and was surprised by how well the food was. I would recommend the slide of pizza over ordering a whole pizza bc it was very filling. Undercarriage was decent on the slice. Arrived at 11:00 am to the Metairie Road location and was greeted with a friendly welcome from the lady at the register. I ordered the hand breaded Famous Chicken fingers with a slice of pepperoni pizza. When she brought my food, she was very kind and told me to let her know if there was anything she could do. The chicken fingers had a very good breaded seasoning and the pepperoni pizza was fresh. The restaurant is always decorated nicely and my lunch visit was very pleasant. read more

You do stand in line in order to order at the counter. They give you a cup at the counter & the drinks are self-service. I do not like that they have the 'tip' cup, I guess it is for service that is NOT given. It is all self-service! The tables are small, so they have stands, about 10" high, that the pizza sits on top of. This is an accident waiting to happen. You do go to a pizza place to eat pizza, and the pizza is good, though I would not normally go out of my way to go eat at Fat Boys. ~ They share the store with 'Savvy Sliders'. Parking: Lots of free parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy the place, and it is 'family friendly'. Wheelchair accessibility: My wife is in a wheelchair, so this is near & dear to my heart. This review is geared to the Fat Boys Pizza Express in Kenner. I heard there was a location that just opened on April 27,2023 and I was thrilled that I'd be in town to go check it out. I got to the drive thru and ordered a 16 in pizza and a 12 count order of wings; they told me it would be a 10 minute wait for the pizza. Okay, no problem! They asked me for my number when I was ordering which I didn't think much of. I pulled up to the window after waiting a few minutes for the car ahead of me to be finished at the window, and they said okay we'll take your payment. Then you will park, once your order is ready you'll get a text and then you come inside and get your order. I then asked what the point of the drive thru if you still have to go inside, they then said thats just the way they're doing it. I was very frustrated and had to wait more time for the text that my order was ready. I saw countless people, pulling around and parking and having to go inside and then bring there order back to the car. If the drive thru is geared towards pizza slice sells they need to say that, but if I come thru drive thru I'm expecting to not have to go and get out of the car. I had to wake up my baby to get him up and go and go inside and get our order then had to deal with an upset baby once I get back in the car. If I have to deal with all that hassle I'd rather just come to the Fat Boys location in old Metairie which has never made me feel this way. Besides the not great concept of the drive thru, the pizza was on par with the quality of the old Metairie location. It was my family first time trying it and they enjoyed it. read more

I was there with a group of 6 people. The service was absolute Horrendous. Not only did they get the 1st order incorrect, then the 2nd order as well was incorrect. The 3 order as well was incorrect. I had to get up 6 separate times to ask about the orders. The Pizza was the 1st order and it was pulled from the heated warmer, dry and crust was dry; almost burned. There was no customer service whatsoever. When we first arrived after a 10 minute wait I was told we can take any table that was available. Every table was dirty so I had to ask for them to be cleaned. I spent a lot of Money to celebrate my Daughter's Birthday only to do all the work for your staff. When I asked to speak to the Manager she showed no emotions and offered no Apology. Then when you place an order after doing all the work other prepare the food the card reader ask if you want to place a Tip . I did on the 1st order (mistake). This used to a Great Pizza Place; however, I would not order or go in this establishment to eat . Rude , unfriendly , lazy staff and the establishment is filthy. Restaurant itself is immaculate! The bathrooms, tables, drink stations, etc are all very clean. The pizza was fresh and tasty. I got chicken (spicy) with Cajun fries. It isn't especially spicy but I think an up charge for a different batter is excessive. The chicken was very fresh and hot. Very very disappointed in the quality of the pizza. The pizza was way too doughy because they were very skimpy with the toppings. Also, they burnt the pizza even though I specifically told the person taking the order that I did not want it burnt like the one in the case next to the register. I have eaten fat boys a couple times, but have never been to a physical location. Walking in you immediately know this place can be for an adult get together or family event. It is definitely a versatile space. It has a full bar and daiquiris, couple arcade games, and a massive gumball machine. The slices are HUGE, their cups say "size does matter", and it does. They warmed out slices, so they were hot coming to the table. The only downfall is it's greasy, but honestly what pizza isn't greasy. Would definitely recommend one slice filled me up. Unfortunately I didn't care for the pizza that much. I ordered the Tomato and Basil pizza. It just wasn't anything to write home about and I didn't care for the slices being so large. I didn't realize before I went there that the slices were jumbo since it was my first visit there. I did like that there was parking onsite and the staff person who took my order was very friendly and also very patient which I appreciated. I have seen the food truck and heard about the place but never stopped by so when i was in the neighborhood this time, i decided to try it out. as it was my first experience i had no idea what to expect and while standing in line figuring out what was what, an associate came by and provided some great service explaining what each item was and the popular items, etc; this explanation was really helpful so kudos to that employee. we ordered the garlic knots and the tomato mozzarella pizza slice. the pizza was warmed and ready well before the garlic knots, so that by the time they were ready the pizza was not as warm (as it took 20 minutes to get everything). Taste-wise, i was a bit disappointed as the pizza slice is not cheap ($7 a slice) and for that i expected more but what i got was average taste on a thinner slice pizza. the garlic knots as well were disappointing because hey were just the bread with some garlic butter on top, so it didn't taste like garlic knots but rather bread rolls with a hint of garlic (if you bit into that particular piece) overall, high price and average flavors read more

' the hog' and it was obvious that it had been sitting out for hours. A 10 minute drive home resulted in pizza that was barely warm and inedible. When I think of pizza, I think of a delicious sauce, great meats and cheese, hot and bubbly. Skip this and go get a really fresh pizza cooked to your order for so much less and you'll be much more satisfied . The fries were over fried, hard and without flavor. My husband and I see ourselves as a bit of pizza connoisseurs. We tried this place on a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere was nice. You can sit inside or outside which is a plus and there is bar seating. The decor was fun. While there isn't a huge selection of draught beer (which is my favorite), what they did have was good. I do like that you can select one slice of pizza or have your own made. You can see the actual pizzas and decide if you think it looks good. The slices are huge which is great but I almost wished they were smaller so I could try a couple different kinds. One slice ended up being 2 meals for me. I really enjoyed the skinny boy slice. The menu said the shrimp were imported which almost kept me from getting it, but it looked good so I tried it. It didn't have red sauce, but the flavors were great and the shrimp were plump. I got a cup of pizza sauce on the side. It wasn't my favorite pizza sauce but the quality of the pizza trumped that. My husband ordered loaded waffle fries and wings. I'm not usually a fan of waffle fries because they tend to be soggy. These were so crispy. They tasted like the grease was a little old, but not too bad. The wings were juicy and crispy. I heard about this place on Facebook during quarantine so I waited til dine in services opened back up before we took the drive and so glad we did. Not sure how I never heard of this place before as I am a frequent visitor to the Metairie area but I've found it and I'll be back. The have huge 30 inch pizzas to share if you have a group of people with you and the slices are big. They are thin sliced which I'm usually not a fan of but theirs was actually pretty good. I could do without the Italian sausage as it is too thin for my liking but the pizza overall was great. They have four types of daiquiris and also have beer and they are very reasonably priced for the sizes. It was pretty steady and we got there a couple hours after a usual lunch rush would occur so I think that also helps speaks volumes for this place. We got an early lunch from here last Sunday and all was good. They are smaller inside than I thought they would be. It was an efficient set up though. You place your order at the counter and take a number. They bring you your meal as it's ready. We opted to sit outside on the covered patio. It was a beautiful day and the patio was great. They have 2 TVs out there, too. My friend and I split one slice of the Pepperoni Pizza. We had asked if they could cut it ahead for us. We also got a small Caesar Salad and split that. It was just the right amount of food for both of us. The slices are a bit on the greasy side, but I expected that. They are the thin crust NY style and huge! We would return again. I've been here a few times and it's never been great nor has it been terrible. The last time I brought my family was for lunch and the pizza tasted like it was a day old, hardly warm at all and very mediocre. Also what was alarming was a group sitting outside at a table with a dog on the table being held while eating, this is a serious health code violation. I don't understand how management can tolerate this obvious behavior. Some people have allergies to animals and most people such as myself do not want to sit at a table that an animal has been on, completely absurd.
