I love this neighborhood bar! Clean, well decorated, friendly staff, fabulous food and overall fun atmosphere. Pool tables, lottery, and two patios (front and back) to enjoy when the weather is good! Nice bar and indoor seating area, video poker machines, and 2 pool tables (50¢ per game).The wife and I go an average of 8 times per month, mostly to play pool. (Never stop dating your spouse) Peppers attracts a friendly, fun-loving crowd. They offer decent but limited eats, but they are definitely not a restaurant, so if you're really hungry, eat before you come. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas; the one in front is covered. The one in back is fenced and more private. They have periodic organized activities like karaoke, bingo, car show, BBQs, and pool tournaments. Depending on what time of day it is, they can be short-staffed, which slows service times when just one person has to tend bar, plus do the cooking, cleaning, and re-stocking. It's a local bar, not a downtown tavern. Take the time to talk to someone while you're there. You won't be disappointed. Join the regulars. read more

Peppers is a nice, mostly local bar in Lake Oswego. They have high top tables, seats at the bar, and even a couple of booths inside. There are also some outside tables under the covered patio. Pool players can take advantage of the two tables, and sedentary patrons like myself can watch sports on the three big screens above the bar. A limited menu is available, with an emphasis on Mexican food. Not sure if Peppers is worth a drive from NE Portland, but do stop in if you are in the area. read more

I was there with friends to drink and play pool. The place was empty. The guy bartender was ok but the girl was a bitcx. My friends were having a good time till the girl bartender came to our table and said "this pool table cost $6,000 don't scratch it." I was so stunned when I heard that. we asked for check and left right away. So rude. We will never go back. read more

I came in to grab a cocktail while I was waiting to get a service at another establishment in this complex. The bartender was extremely unpleasant seemed very rude. I ordered a bloody Mary and told her I wanted top shelf, she was like that's crazy, rude about my choices. Before I left I seen her make another bloody mary for another customer, they're bloody Mary picture worthy. She put all the extra vegetables and garnishments in their bloody mary while mine was just tomato juice and vodka, very unhappy. She also just seem to complain to another customer about how busy it is been there, not grateful to have a job right now in these uncertain times. If you're looking for a meal, there's a great BBQ, Mexican, and pizza place right near by you're welcome to bring food back from to watch the game, or just hang with friends and have some decently priced drinks. $2 Tuesday Bud/Coors light, ladies drink night Thursdays, happy hour 4-6 M-F, need I say more?! Please note, if you're looking for a place to get shit faced, please spare us your antics and just head to Portland. Peppers is a family and respect is earned through positivity and knowing how to hold your liquor. Don't get me wrong, I've been wasted many a morning for Sunday pool tournaments, Bingo on the 20th of every month, live music, and just general celebrations; the family at Peppers is there to have your back. I lost my job for a time, and they truly cared to ask about how I was doing, how my interviews went, and even bought me drinks a time or two when I was feeling really down. So many changes need to get Peppers Bar on par with other bars! Let's start with the bartender on Saturday afternoon. She was pregnant and rude. My husband and I went in and she didn't even acknowledge us. After sitting for awhile with no acknowledgement we went up to get drinks, her attitude was awful. Didn't talk to us, didn't say hello, terrible demeanor. We knew this was a dive bar but dive bars usually make up with the customer service and friendly welcoming feel. Not this place though!!! Secondly, the drinks suck! Beer line needs to be cleaned, and they over charge for beers! Is this the lake Oswego uplift again? Do yourself a favor and stay away. Instead, try Hop and Cork down the street. read more

This bar is only blocks from my house, but I delayed coming here because of Yelp reviews. I'm sorry I put it off so long! While it certainly fits the "dive bar" aesthetic, it is clean, well-supplied, and friendly. The bartender Ashley was very friendly, and talked with me for a bit about the bar and the menu. The food took a bit (they were understaffed) but it was tasty for bar food! I think the negative reviews were from people expecting a stereotypical "Lake Oswego" environment. This is a Portland dive bar that happens to be in LO. Definitely coming here again! My only suggestion (totally selfish) is more sour beers and vegetarian options! read more

My friend and I have been coming to this bar quite often recently. We usually go on weeknights after getting dinner to grab a couple drinks and play pool. It's a fun, cute spot. Bartenders have been nothing but nice. However, we had a much different experience the last time we were in. We were on our first game of pool when the owner came out of her office and approaches my friend and I erratically. At first, I thought it was some crazy drunk so I left my friend to deal with it. The lady persisted so I went back and interjected myself into the conversation. I was shocked to hear this woman threatening to have us pay for the pool table we were playing on. She couldn't describe what we were doing wrong when I asked. She seemed to get more and more flustered as I was showing her honest concern and respect. I then asked what we could do differently and she pointed at my friend's pool stick laying against the wall and stormed off. I guess a stick leaning against the wall meant we weren't taking care of the pool table in her eyes. I own a pool table myself and I know pool etiquette. I also bartend and know good customer service. This was so out of line. I won't be back and I've told all my people about the poor customer service. I don't think I've ever left a yelp review prior to this one, but man, this lady could use some criticism at the very least! read more

Been coming to this bar for a year or so now, and tonight was one of the first nights I've never had to wait for the bartender to come up to the bar to take my order, she was incredibly attentive and always greeted me and my friends with a smile. I will begin by saying that we were hoping to really enjoy this place, as it is local and within walking distance of our house. While the drinks were decent, the service was unlike I'd experienced before in an almost empty bar. We stopped in for a drink and we went to the bar to order, then once we had our drinks, we took a seat away from the bar. The bartender/waitress did not come check on us once. We wanted to get a second drink, but it wasn't worth it if they were unwilling to check in on us after our first. We understood it was only one person, so we allowed 30 minutes before deciding to leave (and not come back). We noticed during this time that she was chatting with those sitting at the bar, checking her phone, and at times - just standing around. If she was super busy, we would have been willing to go up there to order, but it was as if she had forgotten about us and that is not the type of service that deserves our business.
