Today was the third time I've been to Peppino's. I initially heard about them on One Bite. Luckily, I go to Chalfont periodically for work. When I'm in town, I grab a pie. I enjoyed all the pies I've gotten there, but I'm particular to the Grandma Pie. Toppings and cheese combo are great., Crust is perfect. I like it better than most of the pies I've gotten in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I highly recommend.

Since our first visit my wife has been hooked. She talks about needing her "Pepinos Fix" every week. The owners are very accommodating and the service is on point with their fresh made to order pizzas and sandwiches. I need to start exploring the rest of the menu but the old fashioned is so good I keep ordering. Ambiance is your standard pizza place, a few tables, mostly take out orders but we always eat in with a bottle of course. Best pizza I've found in the buxmont area. Order early on the weekends! Sometimes they're so busy they stop taking orders!!!!!

    Pizza. Topping picked off.

Disappointed. Order a half pep/half plain. Sent me a full Cold/reheated pizza that at one time was full pepperoni. They just picked off half of the topping and threw it in the other side. The whole thing tasted like pep. Surely your cook had to know this was a bad idea.? Pizza tasted like it had sat around, then they threw it back in the oven, pulled some toppings off and called it day. Every pizza should be made fresh, every order. But Won't be coming again to find out. Yuck.

New service fee added to takeout bill

I had been a happy customer before Dave Portnoy stopped by and blew this place up in popularity, which I'm cheering for your continued success. But customers need to be treated with respect too. Don't think we don't notice the things you're doing that reduced the food quality. I hope this review will make you reconsider your approach. The pizzas start getting smaller and smaller after the 7.8 score. How do I know? It's a 16in pizza box (see pic attached). The pizza (Grandma's pie), advertised as 16", used to fit snuggly in the box, now it's just floating in there. It's now like 14". I gave the benefit of the doubt at first due to the sudden influx of new customers, but this continues to happen a few more times. Also, very recently, there is a 4% service fee added to the final bill (see receipt attached). I ordered takeout, so I'm not sure what's this service fee is. Lastly, the quality has been impacted as well. More specifically, the amount of mozzarella cheese on each slice is way less. Go and look at some of the Grandma's pie pictures on Peppinos Instagram and from other reviews and compare it to what I received. The pizzas pre-Portnoy did look like the Instagram pic, but I guess not anymore, which makes me feel quite sad. I know you can still make the old Grandma's pie because I've seen you put the un-skimped, good-looking Grandma's pie on display when I walked in to pick up my supposedly same pizza. I'm ok with you increasing the price due to high demand, but this sneaky approach is not cool. I hope to support you again in the future, but probably not anytime soon.

They use Liscio's rolls so that's a plus. Their meat taste good so another plus. They put romaine on the hoagie...what is that? It's not horrible by any means, but I would try something else next time in the area. The hoagie was way out of proportion with the bread to meat/cheese to vegetables. Towards the end it felt like all that was there was the roll....and again, they're Liscio's so it could've been worse.

Dairy-free tuna sandwich. Note the background wind, and its inability to distract me from 5-star food.

As someone fluent in sandwich, Peppino's speaks to me. My boyfriend, who reigns from Philly and is just as much of a foodie (if not more so), dragged me here on our visit back to his hometown. His hype did not disappoint. The secret to a sublime sandwich is wedged in its bread, and the seeded Italian rolls here deliver memorable freshness that force you to reminiscence DAYS after your meal...perhaps even weeks, but we're going back again tomorrow (per my request), so I needn't wonder. I ordered the Tuna Sandwich--the one without dairy--with all the fix'ns, and was a happy camper. They catered to my strange pescavegan dietary preferences, and didn't screw up my order with cheese nor mayo. My boyfriend went with The Triple Treat, and was just as stoked as he was growing up. Even after my experiences in Northern and Southern California, Oregon, NYC, and more recently, North Carolina, this place left me speechless. Literally. My bf felt flustered by the blustery winds when we tried to eat at a nearby park on outdoor picnic tables (see the background gang signs in posted picture: he was trying to keep our food from blowing away), but I shushed him while I stuffed my face. This is one of the few times in my life I've been quiet. Enough said. I resume salivating over tomorrow's order.

    Cutlet Italian Sandwich

Stopped into Peppino's on a Thursday around lunch time. We tried the cutlet Italian sandwich and the Buffalo cutlet - both were outstanding. The bread and the cutlets are top notch. We met the owner who was nice enough to give us tomato pie to try which was also delicious - sauce was out of this world good! Definitely recommend stopping in. The location is in a convenient, small shopping plaza.

Tomato pie with fresh mozzarella. It was excellent- best pizza in the suburbs.

I am SO glad this place opened. Everything I've gotten has been excellent and perfect. Cheese on the bottom round pie, tomato pie with fresh mozz, Tommy hoagie, veggie hoagie, tuna hoagie (it's chunky tuna- not super mayo heavy tuna salad), even a hot veggie grinder which isn't on the menu but they made it when we asked. This place really is south philly in the suburbs. The tomato pie is hot- it's not at all like Corropolese style- but it's so good and I wouldn't necessary compare them to each other because they're very different. The sauce is homemade marinara- nothing wild or crazy, just good old fashioned tomato sauce. It's not sweet. The crust isn't NY style thin, but it's def not as thick as most tomato pies. It definitely leans towards being actual pizza rather than tomato pie but it's SO good. My favorite pizza in the suburbs right now.

Delicious sandwiches, and tomato pie. Had a bid order and they helped bring it to my car.

So I took her over for a pizza and antipasto, and both were excellent. The pizza had so much toppings on it that you could barely see the cheese underneath. Just the right balance of cheese and sauce. They bring the toppings right to the edge of the crust, and do not leave huge "whitewalls" on the pizza like Lucatelli's does. Outstanding pizza with a touch of crispiness in the crust. The antipasto was so friggin' huge that the two of us could barely eat it. Loaded with so many items - including my favorite, roasted red peppers, tons of olives, and some shaved parmesano. Other things to consider: The courtesy and friendliness of the employees was impressive. Also the place is spotlessly clean. Just be aware that they do not have a dining room, but a few tables where you can eat their freshly baked pies, which you definitely want to do. Most highly recommended and will be returning FOR SURE!!!

We were in the mood for not only pizza but a cheesesteak. It was not a far drive from Lansdale. Parking is a large lot shared with various other businesses. Once inside we found a seat and figured out what we were going to order. There is two levels of seating available, upper and lower. We all placed orders for so many different things, pizzas, cheesesteaks, salads and a few other items. My cheesesteak was piping hot, laid into a seeded bun, wrapped up in cooper sharp cheese nestled with sauteed onions. I appreciated it being cut in half. My tiny hands need help navigating such a delicacy. Lastly, the cheese was just dripping out of it. Just how I think it should be. I have always said that what makes a sandwich starts with the bread. Their bread is amazing! Soft with a little crisp and the sesame seeds deliver. My son loved his salad that had chicken on top. It was a pretty decent portion size. The chicken slices were pretty thick. We LOVED all the pizzas. The crust is fresh and not too think. We tasted the hot honey pizza, grandma MVP, and the burrata pizza. My husband's MVP cutlet sandwich was jam packed. He really enjoyed it. There really was not one things we did not like, and we are looking forward to visiting again when we are in town. The staff was pumping out orders left and right and quality control did not see to be an issue. Our order was prepared perfectly. Pricing was on point and no complaints from me. Then we tried this place a second time for pizza and we were disappointed. It was just a regular pizza with mushrooms. When I got it home it looked burnt, with very little cheese on it and extremely hard (crusty?) crust. Maybe it was an off night (it was a Sunday). Either way, I won't be ordering pizza from them again, but I do recommend the sandwiches. Also, the young ladies at the register could use a lesson in customer service. Not welcoming or engaging at all. Clearly I was interrupting them.
