Chicken Marsala with Spaghetti

Restaurant is only open 4 nights Wed - Sat and dinner only. No Open Table or other automated reservation method; so you call and leave a message, then they call you later to confirm. Process works fine with no issue Entry is not through the front door, instead you go through the patio on the right side then enter via the side door. Small restaurant, nicely decorated. Acoustics are a bit loud but otherwise a pleasant dining experience. Is it Italian or a steak house? I am still not sure. Mozzarella with marinara is a very tasty and filling appetizer. The special (which I really think is a standard item) is a filet with scallops. It was fantastic and worth the price. Also excellent was the Chicken Marsala. Took half of the latter home. Both entrees recommended. Desserts were very good as well. Although very full still had room for dessert. Wait staff very friendly and attentive This is one of Erie's few better restaurants.

This is hands down one of the best Italian meals I've had in quite some time. We came here on a Friday night with a reservation - which I would highly recommend as they seem to get a pretty good weekend crowd. Our table wasn't quite ready so we enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The atmosphere is dim and cozy - very old world Italian with an upscale, modern twist. Excellent wine list that won't break the bank. We shared a dozen oysters Rockefeller which were perfectly executed. The lobster bisque was by far the best I've ever had. Everyone enjoyed their meals here. The pesce & carne (scallops & filet) came with a perfect risotto. I enjoyed a traditional sausage bolognese. Portions were generous which justified the slightly higher price point. Unbelievable tiramisu gelato and a chocolate lava cake rounded out our dinner experience and sent us into a food coma. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress Kellie knew the menu inside and out and was so friendly. We even got to share a glass of wine with the owner, Joe Colao. He has certainly set the bar for Italian food in Erie high and deserves all of the success he gets. Do not miss Peppino's.

The food is awful, overpriced and the owner is awful. There are no redeeming factors. The property has a precarious parking lot.

At first I was concerned that they may have only the bud, coors, miller type of beer selections but they had some good ipas including goose island one one from west coast. The pierogies were delicious and had about 12 toppings to choose from including jalapeños, banana peppers and green peppers. Garden salad was pretty standard but very fresh. Didn't care for the bottled goopy Italian dressing but no biggie. The sandwiches looked fantastic and fries looked amazing!

You won't find any special local or craft beers here but you will find great deals on all the regular American beers that you'd expect to find on tap at a bar like this. The menu is pretty standard but they do a great job with the food. I always find a soup to enjoy, not to mention the mountains of fresh cut fries that come with the sandwiches. The outdoor area lets you enjoy some space during the warmer months and inside there is pool, darts, and karaoke on certain days. A great place to catch up with friends or even take the family. Service is always friendly and efficient and the prices cannot be beat across the board for drinks or food. Great neighborhood staple!

He caught my attention with the Thursday special of chicken and biscuits, so we checked it out. There's a small dining area - maybe 15 tables? - and a bar, so it's a bit snug and every table was filled when I went in to get a menu, thinking we'd do take-out, but there was no wait when we decided to do dine-in. We had to wait a short time for the server to get to us, but she was great - good recommendations for narrowing down our choices and just the right amount of attentive after we ordered. I started with the crab cake appetizer, which came with a zesty sauce. I enjoyed them, although I'm used to flattened crab cakes and these were more ball- shaped. I had the chicken and biscuits, which was very tasty - nice chunks of white meat in gravy, over real mashed potatoes and generous biscuits. The cole slaw was just right - crunchy and a little sweet, not overpowered by mayonnaise. Partner had the shepherd's pie, which, as our server cautioned, was heavily seasoned with thyme, but had great flavor and a nice mix of vegetables under the mashed potatoes. I wish we had had space for dessert! The menu is *really* inclusive, from prime rib to pasta to burgers to vegetarian options and a kid's section. There's something for everyone here!
