A gritty Pittsburgh classic. While waiting for a local brewery to open I walked down to Peppi's to grab a couple subs for home. It's definitely an old school place. No frills, honest people. I was greeted quickly ordered my subs and only had a short wait. Despite me walking in minutes before closing on New Years Eve the staff was still friendly and worked quickly. I was impressed by one folks working the counter. As I stood and waited for my subs I watched two customers come up asking for a to go container for their sandwiches. The man working the counter greeted them, asked if they enjoyed their food and then offered to wrap their food for them to go.
