Absolutely incredible. Wonderful service, welcoming from the moment we walked in, friendly, and quick with anything we needed. We came at a less busy time, but we were pleased. I must say, these were the best wings I've had in a long time. I tried the garlic parm wings, hubby tried the Sweet Matty Ray's. both were absolutely delicious. we also got a thing of fries to share, which was big for us and we ended up taking some home! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for good wings on the South Side. Atmosphere was also cool, graffiti benches and local art everywhere is such a nice touch. 10/10 read more

Loved this spot. A very chill vibe! No rush. Husband & I came thru for sharables twice & absolutely loved it ((thereby visiting twice lol)). The first time we were there, we had: Steamed buns-- oh so freaking good; Dakgangjeong which are Korean rice cakes-- although I thoroughly relished it, I can see this being a hit/miss for someone; reg fries. The food was bomb! The server/bartender was great! Very pleasant. Decided to come back a week later ((last night)) for sharables& ordered: Steamed buns AGAIN; Strips & Fries basket-- exchanged the fries for Cajun ones with their d@mn fabulous garlic aioli. If you haven't tried their Garlic Aoili, please do so immediately! The chicken was crunchy, as were the fries. Service was great from the same the man& woman. Love the variety of foods and drink on the menu! I want to come back and try everything! Great tunes playing and ambiance. My only beef is that the Japchae has the "wrong" noodles. (Last visited 5/6/2021.) Working in Pittsburgh for the week and I met up with a friend who was in town for a good meal as well as some drinks. I asked my mans what he had a taste for and he mentioned a Philly cheesesteak. Odd request for Pittsburgh, but there's never a bad place to have a taste for one of those so I did some Yelp'ing. I found this place... Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on busy and infamous Carson street is this gem. There's some sort of parking around back, but I couldn't tell if it was for one specific restaurant, public parking or what so I advise parking right on the street if possible. This place isn't very big, but it's not exactly a hole-in-the-wall either. It's medium-sized, you know, Goldilocks status. Lol. This place reminded me of a food truck, but indoors in a temperature-controlled atmosphere with comfortable, soft chairs and great music! Street food for days! The graffiti décor is a nice touch and really adds some color to the room. Service: Sara took excellent care of us. If I'm not mistaken, she was running the entire restaurant and was the bartender. She was also DJ'ing! Lol. I think it was just her playlist that was playing, but she had great taste! Food: I started off with the Dakgangjeong, a mouthfull indeed, but essentially it's Korean popcorn chicken with a fried rice cake, scallions all tossed in Korean BBQ sauce. This was deliciously salty, saucy, spicy, hot, cooked well and satisfying. Very good. To follow this up I tried out their Confit Chicken Wings. You get 8 in an order and these were delicious. Any wings involving confit are just different and very good. They're like, extra crispy, but light... somehow. It's hard to explain. You definitely need to try these for yourself! My friend had the Philly Cheesesteak which looked very good and came with seasoned fries, but as I looked around the menu some more... the kitchen's range is just so vast! Lol. All in one spot you could get food from around the freaking world! Tacos, wings, a Philly cheesesteak, the Korean dish I mentioned earlier, Moroccan lamb, BONE MARROW. Like, WHO ARE THESE GUYS?! Forget a food truck, this place is like the ENTIRE BLOCK OF FOOD TRUCKS all in one spot. Excellent. Value: Pretty good in my opinion. At the time I paid $10.00 for the Dakgangjeong. It's decently filling, but on the smaller side, though the quality and flavors are certainly there to justify the price. The wings speak for themselves. $16.00 for 8 wings, but again, the quality is there. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for wings (Big Shot Bob's and their 100 flavors is right up the street), but they were very good for being so different. My friend's sandwich was only $13.00 and it came with fries. In conclusion this place was very chill and I loved the atmosphere. The Seitan Vampiro Tacos were really good-- there were three on the plate even though only two are in this photo. The Confit Chicken Wings were delicious too. Sadly, it did not meet my expectations but still not a bad place to eat. * Food: I remember coming here 3 years ago and liking what I got and decided to come here again since then. I came with two other friends and I got the Dakgangjeong (korean popcorn chicken) and my friends got the Vampire tacos and Roasted Canoe cut. All of them were pretty subpar, nothing too special. * Cost vs. Worth: The appetizers ranged from $7-$10 which isn't too expensive but the portions were a little bit small. I haven't tried the sandwiches so I'm not sure how the portions are with those. I was intrigued by the concept of food all around the world. I was also anxious to visit the restaurant because of the mixed reviews from my fellow yelpers. This bar/restaurant isn't very big.. so its nice they accept reservations. Very cool! The tables are labeled with streets on the South Side - hence the name.. awesome .. we yinzers love that. While browsing the menu we were told by our server that the restaurant was out of chicken "wings". Since I am a wing lover .. this was very disappointing to hear. I don't care that there was a food truck event and ran out of them. I had studied the menu prior to patronizing the restaurant so I already had my mind made up. Ok moving on .. I still have high hopes for the menu. Since the appetizer portion of the menu (little guys) is all small plates its tough to choose something for sharing with a group. The pork egg rolls were excellent and they are sliced in half so it was fun to share those. Our server had some suggestions so its important to speak up and ask questions. The Okonomiyaki - was like a Chinese pancake.. very flavorful and easy to share as well. I liked that fries came with all sandwiches (including the Turkey Devonshire) The turkey Devonshire was excellent.. real turkey not lunch meat. The only thing I didn't like was that the portion was rather small but good thing it came with fries. I enjoyed the fries very much.. little bits of cheese in them and seasoned just right. Everyone seemed happy with their food except one person in our party. He ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was drowning in cheese wiz sauce and I can see why. It was basically a cheese wiz sauce hoagie with bits of steak em bits and pieces throughout. Our appetizers and meals came out within a reasonable amount of time but the desserts.. that was another story. We ordered dessert and it took 20 minutes for the two orders to arrive!? If I wasn't with a big party I would have cancelled and paid the check and left. No dessert is worth this long of a wait. I have things to do. After waiting such a long time one would think the desserts have to be amazing & worth the wait right? Not the case. The lemon tart was good but super tiny. At least that was edible. The S'mores Ice Cream Sandwich was a disgrace - really. The graham cracker cookie was hard as a rock.. impossible to eat. obviously frozen and not thawed out. Figures it was the same person who ordered the cheese wiz on a bun ordered this dessert option. We had some laughs about it but when you are paying for something.. it's a bit disappointing when you receive something that is below satisfactory. This is what people remember too. Located across from Jacks in the South Side.. parking can be a challenge. This is the area where there isn't parking on the street only the sides. The cost to dine here is definitely above average. There is a nice variety of cuisine styles too chose from, which is great for those who want to try new flavors and step out of their comfort zone. I wish I could've rated this place a 3.5 stars. I personally think that the service was better than the food. Really cool concept, I just think the food could've have executed better. Our server was waiting on every table however, managed to keep everyone's drinks filled and happy. He gave out excellent recommendations and even answered any questions thoughtfully. I was not drunk when eating here. I'd imagine that the food would taste better if I was intoxicated--like many other establishments in the Southside. The presentation of all the foods here were nice I'd say, above average. From best to worse tasting out of everything I ordered, I would rank the dishes: steamed buns, egg rolls, chicken wings, jerk chicken and the Aloo Tikki. The steamed buns were tasty but, nothing out of the ordinary. The pork belly was very fatty but cooked decently. The egg rolls were full of life. There was so much going on with it and the sauce that drizzled the rolls really made the dish. The dough that surrounded the egg rolls were buttery and flaky. The chicken wings also tasted average however, the meat fell of the bones which really impressed me. I never had chicken wings that were cooked so perfectly before. The jerk chicken was ok. I was expecting a little sweetness from the advertised coconut rice however, I did not taste coconut at all. The chicken was also bland. The Aloo Tikki had a lot of flavor. It had a mashed potato consistency. For some reason though, it was just really boring to eat. I wish there was more sauce or some other component to go with it. read more

They have a generous amount of starters and a lengthy list of sandwiches. I went with two other friends and we ordered a few plates to share. The prices and portions were perfect for sharing. I had really high hopes for this place but it just falls short. The flavors fall flat and over all the food is just okay. The service was okay and space is cute but a little cramped. Explanation from our server regarding to the menu. Stay open late which was great for us. What I disliked: music not refill for water, tea and pop. Mozzarella Tapioca have disappointed me (considering I'm from Brazil, this is not authentic from my point of view. Too much balsamic vinegar and pesto. Maybe it's a different type that I have never tried before.) Anyway I don't recommend it, especially if you know the real Brazilian tapioca. Streets on Carson has only been open for a couple of weeks, but they have all the elements to be in this for the long haul. A combination of great service, beautiful restaurant, casual atmosphere, unique affordable menu = winner winner. Love the concept: street food around the world, most you have never heard of, but they will be more than patient with all your inevitable questions lol. Although the dishes may seem small, they are deceptively filling. A combination of any 2 choices will satisfy even the hungriest of stomachs. Always great to see a menu with multiple items under $10 Talk about cool decor; The interior is modern meets urban, with hanging street lights and graffiti to drive home the point! On to the food, for lunch I had 1) duck confit tapioca from Rio de Janeiro (leeks, shallots, Gouda, balsamic glaze) 2) pork spring rolls from Shanghai (cabbage, carrot, scallions, cilantro, sriracha aioli) 3)side of fries Honestly it was alllll good, and way more than I should have ordered. This is not your America hot dog stand we're talking here, as these are some complex dishes executed very well. Note to owner/manager: don't make too many changes! One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. Sophia was one of the best servers I've ever had in any restaurant & we eat out a lot. She was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the restaurant & menu, checked on us multiple times to make sure we had what we needed and enjoyed everything we had. The food selection was fantastic - a great representation of global street cuisine. We had several things that we shared. The lobster crepe with sherry cream sauce was my favorite. It melted in my mouth & the flavor was out of this world. Huarache was good. Didn't know it would come on something similar to flatbread. The barbacoa on it was very good. My husband loved his slow roasted pork sandwich with broccoli rabe. He said it was one of the best pork sandwiches he's had and he's obsessed with pork. My mom had the Murica filet mignon burger & loved it. Next time I'd try the duck fat poutine. Will definitely return and highly recommend it. read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon for some drinks and some tasty food. After searching on yelp I came across this places based on other reviews. I ordered the top three most popular dishes, the pulled pork sandwich, egg rolls, and chicken jerk skewered. The Pulled pork was great but not amazing, and just as an FYI they use the same meat on both the pulled pork and the egg rolls. The egg rolls packed a powerful punch with a lot of flavors in combinations with the sauce that comes with. The Chicken skewer was bland and lacked flavor, however the coconut rice and bean was decent. Overall this place is just OK but not worth the rave others make it out to be. It's a unique concept with a lot of potential, but as of now it's just an "OK" restaurant. read more

Can I give a restaurant more than 5 stars? Because Streets on Carson deserves it the world over. I had heard stellar things about this place for entirely too long, so the SO and I decided to give it a shot one evening. The space is super cool: decorated with grafitti and each table bears the name of one of the Southside's renowned streets. We just so happened to randomly sit at the Carey Way table, which is where I lived for nearly 7 years! Once I got over the Carey Way nostalgia, we decided to peruse the menu. We settled on (and shared) the following: Sgagliozze (fried polenta sticks, Italy) - 5/5 - These were outstanding. I plan to wear stretchy pants next time so I can consume more than one order without batting an eye. Aloo Tikki (potato pancakes, Pakistan) - 2.5/5 - These arrived at our table lukewarm at best, but the flavor profile was still solid. I was too hungry to worry about sending them back to be reheated. Not sure if I'd personally order them again, but they did pique my interest and make me wonder what other tasty Pakistani treats I'm missing out on. Dakgangjeong (Korean popcorn chicken, South Korea) - 10/5 - Imagine if someone captured heaven, fried it to a perfect golden brown, and stuffed it inside a takeout container. These were so good that we had an intense discussion over who should get the last piece. I absolutely would order two of these and call it a meal. So freaking good. Ahi Tuna Bahn Mi (Vietnam) - 4/5 - I love seared ahi tuna and had never had a bahn mi, so this seemed like an obvious choice. I was left wanting more tuna or veggies to balance out the bun, but overall this was a solid choice and exactly what I hoped it would taste like. I really loved our dining experience here, and this has become my go-to recommendation when someone's looking for "something different." Went with a friend last night on her recommendation that she got from a friend. Glad we did. Before I start, I have to point out that this is the same location as one of my prior Carson favorites, The Iguana Grill, so the space had tough shoes to fill. The menu is vast, but duh, the whole theme is street food from around the world so you could get everything from Aloo Tikki from Pakistan to Arancini from Silicy to Pepitos from Venezuela. I was a little skeptical that they could be so good at making all these things. I went with the Pepito. I was hungry so that may have biased my view but this was quite possibly one if the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was soft and delicious, the marinated chicken was tender and juicy and the whole thing just came together perfectly. It came with fries and I didnt think much of it when I ordered. But that was a mistake. The fries were fantastic! I believe they are fresh cut because after I finished I saw a worker with a huge container of fresh cut fries. Using my above average in intelligence, I deduced that those fries and my fries were somehow related. Back to the fries - just the right amount of crispy and crunchy plus they had some herbs, maybe a little garlic, and shaved cheese on top adding extra flare and goodness. Cant wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. In fact I could see myself going back everyday until I work through the whole the menu. read more

Great addition to the Southside. We went there for happy hour, and despite being empty the place was amazing. Our service, food and drinks were fantastic. We enjoyed the happy hour menu which included $4 drafts and $6 specialty drinks. With the server's help we were able to pick out two dishes that we really loved. We asked for a little assistance and she was able to tell us about all the things on the menu and what her favorites were. The huarache is a delicious flatbread with plenty of flavor. We also had the Arancini, rice balls with great tasting sauce and shredded parm. It looks like a small plate but fills you right up! We looked at the desserts but were plenty full from the food....we hope to go back for desserts and drinks soon! A great place for locals and tourists, since the tables are named after south side streets. We sat "on Sarah Street" and love the view to Carson while enjoying our meal. read more

My girlfriend and I visited Streets on Carson for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, but the atmosphere was still pretty loud. The menu consists of sandwiches and small plates that originate from all over the world. We ordered a few small plates to share, and it was fun to pick from vastly different cuisines. We went with the artisan cheese plate, duck fat fried poutine, jerk chicken with rice and peas, and arancini. Each dish was tasty and well prepared. Our favorite out of the four was the arancini. While only three were provided on the dish, they were delicious and served atop a nice blush sauce. The jerk chicken was also excellent, and the accompanying green goddess sauce was awesome. The prices and portions seemed fair for the most part, and we definitely had enough to eat, however the cheese plate was not only fairly small, but also the most expensive of the four dishes. Overall though, the food was great and decently priced. The service was fast and friendly, and our waitress was very accommodating to food allergies. I would definitely return. read more
