The pepperoni Italian sub was fantastic! There was so much meat and a lot of flavor. I absolutely loved it. The garlic guts are so good too. They bring a flavor punch you will love. If you know, you KNOW... it's tuna season at Peppos! It's only available during Lent, and I wait all year for it. I love a good tuna sub! It's creamy, not as many crunchy veggies as Jimmy John's but if you get it with guts you won't miss that too much. It's flavorful, like Jersey Mike's, but can get a bit messy- but not as messy as Jersey Mikes! The bread is fresh, hearty, and chewy and doesn't absorb the juices right away- especially if it's toasted. I get it toasted, with provolone, Peppos way (I ask for no mayo because I think there's a lot of it in the tuna already-wish they put less mayo in there), with garlic/jalapeno guts. If you're thinking about it, go quick before Lent is over! read more

We saw the promo the village did on the grand opening and was eager to give this a try. Just opened on 159th street in Orland Park. There are a ton of sub shops in Orland Park and I find it amazing we can support so many. When arriving here we were greeted by staff. A lot of employees, I believe there were 5 or 6. May have been due to training. The restaurant is difficult to access. No direct entry from the street. You need to go into the parking lot of Jewel and drive around to the front of the shopping strip. The outside is well designed and has a good presentation. The inside is well laid out and looks really nice and inviting. The sandwiches here are somewhat unique as they promote what they call "Guts". The guts are the garnishing that goes on the sandwich. They have regular, garlic and jalapeno. Its available it the side or on the sandwich. My wife and I both had the Turkey sub, her the 5" and me the 7". Very pricey at around $8 and $11 respectively. The bread was very fresh as though it was just out of the oven. They only have white though. Both sandwiches were outstanding and one of the best in town. The guts are beyond amazing. It comes with turkey, bacon and your choice of toppings plus the guts. I had it "Peppos Way" Which is mayo, mustard and lettuce. I didn't care for mustard being on there but otherwise delicious. We also ordered two chocolate chip cookies that were amazing. Soft, fresh, lots of chips and a decent size. The over all value was not there in my opinion. We had a 5", 7" sub and two chocolate chip cookies and the bill was $28. We did love it overall and will be a regular and permanent customer. read more

My service was excellent. There was a young woman who helped take my order. I ordered a large turkey and cheese sub so that I could make two meals out of it. Sadly, my sub wasn't my favorite, and I simply threw the second half away. The bread didn't seem to be super fresh. The turkey wasn't a high quality that you would find at a nice deli. There was so much lettuce on it that it took over the whole flavor of everything, not in a good way. The lettuce was old (visibly getting brown) and had been in its bag far too long. It has a distinct flavor. Peppo's was highly rated and I was following the suggestions. Not my favorite. read more

Taste's just like the original from 1976. The "guts" are always fresh and the bread is always soft and delicious. They have a great selection of different meats and cheese, and you can ask for it toasted now. The staff are ready to make a suggestion if you are looking to try something new. The restaurant is brand new so the first week is a soft opening but the grand opening is the week of the 14th. read more

Sub is great. I've been going to the original location in Palos Hills for the past 38 yrs. The French bread was fresh as can be at their new location, they said bread is delivered daily. I always seem to get the same sub, turkey, pastrami and cheddar. They put mayo on one side of the bread mustard on the other and the guts on top , chopped up tomato onion pickle with a nice vinaigrette type sauce. The sandwich is outstanding extra clean inside. read more
