Cute, quiet, small coffee shop in downtown Lexington. I was pleased to see matcha latte listed on the menu, since It's usually not an option at the other cafes I've visited. I also was happy to know there was food items available, not just baked goods. I opted for a turkey sandwich on a croissant which came with a side of chips, You can have pasta salad, potato salad or a fruit sup instead for a dollar more if you prefer that. My drink was ready very quickly and my sandwich came out shortly after. I thought it was good, but if the croissant was toasted it would really set it apart. There is a pottery store next door you can visit as well. The chairs weren't super comfortable so I couldn't see myself doing work here on my laptop. I've been to other shops that are much more cozy. Overall it's nice to know I can grab lunch and coffee all in one place. read more

I LOVE their peaches and cream smoothie!!! We live 30 mins away but it's worth the drive just for the smoothie! Their muffins are good too. Friendly staff and right next door to an adjoining pottery shop. Oh, and did I say the peach/cream smoothie is the best?!!! read more

We stumbled upon the coffee shop on a Saturday before we walked the farmers market. The staff is very friendly and the shop is cute and clean. We ordered a latte with oat milk and the loaded avocado toast. The food is fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend! read more

Great place with very nice staff. Their coffee is excellent and they also offer some muffins, different breads, and sandwiches. There's ample seating for a small breakfast or lunch crowd. It's right in the middle of downtown as well so it's walkable. I order their decaf iced lattes and they're great. read more

Delicious Iced Coffee with a shot of caramel. They were out of Chicken Salad so I couldn't get the Old Courthouse Sandwich. I chose the Grimes which was Turkey and Avocado Spread on a croissant. The sandwich included a small side so I got the pasta salad. Very good. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely a coffee shop here which was fine because coffee was what I needed. There is a small "loop" of parking in front of the place which is helpful but if it's full there is more space in the back. Note that there are some "No left turn" signs posted by the city. A few tables and booths inside. I got a latte which was done properly other than the young lady preparing it went way heavy on the hazelnut syrup. Wow. read more

I had a great experience today trying this coffee shop for the first time. First of all, the employees are so nice and friendly which is not easy to find these days. Also, The food is good and very well-priced! I purchased a big breakfast burrito, large oatmeal cream pie cookie (big enough to share) and a large drip coffee, for less than $12. I would definitely come back and try a fancy coffee drink-they looked tasty too! read more

The perfect blend is the cutest little coffee shop to hang out and chat, or read a book and study. They have a good amount of drinks from hot to cold to smoothies! Liquid creamer in just about any flavor you can think of. The building is connected to a little nicknack shop next door. He's the owner for both locations. Customer service is always really friendly. And the location of the store is in the heart of downtown Lexington. Walking distance to other shops and restaurants around. read more

Little coffee spot on the corner. Stopped in to kill some time before dinner; the kids all had fun playing checkers. The young lady at the front counter was very helpful and very friendly. The best coffee shop I've ever been to! My daughters and I try to go once a week! We usually go before I take them to school and there is always the same group of men who sit at a table and they always open the door for us and the kitchen staff always make sure our baked goods are fresh and all the barista's are always smiling and always ask us how we're doing. We especially love Heather, Ella and Darbeigh because they usually are the ones that take care of us! Definitely recommend read more

We were visiting Lexington on an overnight trip and needed breakfast. Unfortunately our visit to this coffee shop was not at all perfect. First, the restaurant was packed. Every table was busy, any two tables were well within the six foot limits for COVID-19. Everyone was talking to each other and to folks at adjacent tables. To Perfect Blend's credit, I experienced this complete disregard for COVID safety at every store and restaurant that I visited in our short time in Lexington. The whole town has doubled-down on herd immunity. Luckily we had used the website to send an order. That should have made it an easy in-and-out operation. Unfortunately they got THREE food items wrong on a four-item list. Toppings were left off orders. Toppings were ADDED to orders that weren't supposed to have them. And one food item was just not there at all. Our drinks were fine. By the time my wife got to drink her coffee, after going back for the missing food item and then removing the unwanted elements from her own sandwich, her coffee was getting cold. When we're back in Lexington, it won't be until after vaccination, and we'll try the waffle shop down the road for breakfast next time. read more

This is a great little local coffee shop, built from the ground up by two high school sweethearts! It is more modern than other coffee shops locally, and it is right in the historic square of Lexington, so lots of history in the building and area. The coffee and menu are all really good, and they've now expanded to include sandwiches and the like, turning their back room into a place to sit and eat. The cafe is also connected to the pottery shop next door, so you can grab a cup of joe and walk through to peruse all the pottery as well as local artisanal crafts. read more

Have to say, I was pretty disappointed. I walked in after visiting Mission Pottery and no one was behind the counter. Took the young girl a few minutes before she came out to take my order. I decided on a soy dirty chai. Not a good choice... pretty much just tasted like steamed soy milk with a slight chai flavoring and could taste absolutely NO espresso what so ever. Facilities are nothing to really brag about and the bathroom was borderline sketchy... can't say I'll be back here the next time I'm in town. read more

This is the cute coffee shop I would not expect in this area. It is quite and cute. There are a ton of options in this place. They have the cold brew for the perfect heated summer day. They also have a featured nitro coffee. The owner is very knowledgeable on the coffee and very friendly. The place has some fun art. I discovered this cute little coffee shop on Friday when I was in town for business. As soon as I walked in the door, I spied the white pastry boxes from Grannie's Doughnuts... yum- Score! So, I got a plain coffee and an Apple Fritter from Grannie's. The coffee was good, the fritter was good, and the prices were reasonable. Service is very friendly and I will definitely make this my first stop if I find myself back in town for business. One note about the Grannie's items - they just offer fritters and bear claws. The owner said those are the best selling items in their shop, so that is all they sell from Grannie's. However, they do have some other baked goods such as cookies and muffins. read more

I have family in Good ole Lexington, NC, but this time I was in for work. I needed a spot to setup and work for a bit in between meetings. When reading the reviews I was blown away that people said this place was as friendly as they expected. So I still gave it a shot. However, unfortunately I found this true. For it to be small town local coffee shop I thought I would be welcomed by locals and from the other behind the counter. The lady behind the counter was quick answered and seemed to not really care. Besides that, the coffee was great and the blueberry muffin I got was great as well. They have a microwave to the side of you would like to warm your treats up. Perfect Blend is pretty much the only coffee shop in town, so give it a shot and be happy! read more

Perfect Blend is the cutest little coffee shop ever. My friend and I ordered three drinks today and the barista was finished and we had payed in less than five minutes. That is simply amazing to me! Also, they use real espresso, not just coffee powder! I got a Milky Way blender. It includes chocolate mocha and caramel. It was delightful, and I am not a huge coffee person! I also ordered a Caramel blender (there is an option to do with or without coffee, but I chose with). My friend said it was the best one she has had in a while! I definitely recommend swinging by Perfect Blend sometime! It is fabulous and a great place to come read a book or study for a test! Also, it opens to the left into Missions Pottery. You can see the artwork made and it is truly a neat little shop as well. read more

The Good: nice location on a cute corner. Excellent coffee. Friendly (very young) staff. The bad: not very clean. Really needs a renovation, especially in the back room and restrooms. Little comfortable seating. Pretty sparse collection of baked goods, but that could be the time of day I came (3 pm on a Saturday). Conclusion: A good place to grab a quick cup of good coffee from a friendly cute girl. But if you're looking for a place to sit comfortably for a while and get some work done on the laptop, read, surf the web or chat with a group of friends, there are a couple much nicer places nearby. read more

I really enjoy this place. It's usually very quiet or minimal noise level. It allows for a relaxing place to catch up with friends or do any work. It's got monthly specials that offer are named for whatever holiday falls in that month. The prices are also extremely reasonable, almost cheap. I can get a large latte for under $5 and that's bang for your buck! No matter if business is heavy or slow, you always are greeted with a smile and served promptly. Coffee has good flavor and they even sell different coffee grounds to take home. As your ordering they have a variety of pastries for sale too. I've tried the pumpkin muffin, oatmeal cookies, and the gluten free blueberry muffin. I would say all are amazing but the pumpkin is the best seller. I ordered three different things for three different people... I had the espresso with steamed milk... It was nice and creamy, but still had a strong flavor to it... I was pleased... 4 stars... The gentleman I ordered the large black coffee for was very impressed by the quality of the bean and the strength of the drink... 5 stars... The lady that received her hot chocolate said it was good... Not the best she's had, but definitely better than the worse... lol 3 stars Average? 4 stars... And it seems appropriate... The service was great and I liked the vibe of the little cafe... They even have a retro Coke machine in the back near the restrooms... Super cute... Plenty of tables around and what looked like some very tasty treats were in the display case... Confound my desire to wear crop tops this summer... This is a cute coffee shop with tasty drinks. The iced red eye is a great drink for anyone looking for a jolt of caffeine with some serious coffee-flavor - it has two espresso shots and cold brew. The hot, regular coffee is tasty too. The price is reasonable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We returned multiple times on our trip, and we will go back on future trips. read more

I wasn't hungry, so I didn't partake in the waffles, sandwiches, and soups offered, but they certainly sounded good. We ordered a Wacky Waffle hot latte and a Frankenstein frozen Oreo beverage. I'm not usually one for frozen stuff, but the Frankenstein was delicious and will certainly satisfy a sweet craving. We added an espresso shot to it for a little coffee twist and that was very good. The Wacky Waffle had a decent butterscotch undertone though it was heavy on the syrup which obscured the underlying flavor of coffee. I probably won't visit again for a while due to my lifestyle, but if I was a day walker I could certainly see this having a crowd of regulars!

The chicken tasted like it was premade, frozen, and thrown into a fryer. It was rubbery. Paid $14-$15 for that mess. They used egg noodles for the alfredo with a very watery Alfredo sauce that had no actual cheese taste but a weird aftertaste. Very cheap quality for $12! Can't speak to their other dishes, but based on these, I wouldn't go back. It reminded me of one of those restaurants on the reality show where the guy comes in and tells them they should probably close down if they're just gonna serve frozen and canned food.

The setting of this coffee shop is in an old house located right next to the post office. After…read moretaking care of an errand my husband and I popped in here one weekday afternoon for a couple of iced coffees. There are various downstairs rooms a large front porch set up with tables and some comfy seating. The location seemed to be popular with the locals as there were several groups located throughout the house either hanging out socially or working. We ordered from an extremely polite and accommodating barista and she was patient while we perused their long list of various coffee flavor concoctions. Although I don't remember the specific ones we ordered they were both pretty good. Although they do not use Torani brand syrups so the flavors did taste a bit synthetic. There are also a lot of various items for sale throughout the shop. I ended up purchasing a little knitted sock that fits on your broom handle to be used as a duster. For only $4 I felt like it was a cute and unique find. I actually wished I bought a couple more as gifts. If you're looking for a good little coffee place in the area that isn't one of the many big chains definitely give Black Chicken Coffee a try!
