One of the top spots in Lexington. It's definitely a must stop if you are in town. Also, one of the top nicer spots in town as well. They have a vast drink, menu of wines and beers and also delicious appetizers and meals.

Food and service was amazing. Tiffany did a great job. The pork chop special was delicious! Good live music. We will be back.

Finally got the chance to drive into Lexington and check out Sophie's the overall layout of this restaurant is very unique with lots of differently styled seating areas to accommodate different needs. The wood paneling and furniture paired with oversized leather chairs gives a masculine vibe that is balances with string lighting, wine bottles and lots of natural light. We enjoyed burgers that were recommended by our server along with the fried chicken skins and homemade pimiento cheese. The service was great, everything was very tasty and the burgers were huge. Definitely a spot worth trying and worth visiting Lexington for!

I came here for a pit stop on my way to Greenville, SC. Pretty great experience overall! The bartenders were friendly, funny, and quick. The truffle fry bowl was huge! Definitely too much for one person but it was so good and definitely worth trying. I do wish they'd put a layer of the sauce on the bottom layer of fries and then a layer on the top of the fries as well so when you get to the bottom fries you'll still have the taste of the original sauce that pulled you in initially. The southern chicken sandwich was pretty good. I did ask for mustard and hot sauce to add some tangy and spice to the sandwich because I feel like it was missing that. After that it was even better. I'd definitely return here. The restaurant got louder as more people started to enter as we had our dinner. There was plenty of space as well and the bathrooms were clean.

We were in town for an event and had some time to kill so we decided to check this place out for brunch. The server was super friendly and got us seated immediately. The menu looked amazing but we didn't want a large meal. Our server suggested the cheese grits so I ordered that with a side of bacon. This may have been the greatest cheese grits I've ever had. I will definitely be back to try their dinner.

SO GOOD. We stopped in for Saturday lunch and surprisingly it wasn't busy. AJ was our server and he was so friendly and had jokes! The kid ordered Mac cheese, which she completely demolished. Hubby and I split truffle fries, filet wrap and winter salad. It was all so delicious! Definitely going on our list to frequent more often!

04/02/25 - Today was our first time at Sophie's and the establishment is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of various seating options and perfect for a casual meet up or date night. There were so many amazing choices on the menu. Our server AJ was super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back! What we ordered: Deep South Burger $14 The crispy chicken skin, bbq sauce and pimento cheese combo on this brioche burger was delicious! Vegan General Tsos $16 The crispiness of the broccoli combined with the chewiness of the lions mane was wonderful! That with a hearty covering of their general tsos sauce was one of my favorite parts of this visit Pork belly banh mi $10 Every ingredient sounded amazing, but I was slightly underwhelmed by the lack of flavor in the pork belly and the veggies seemed more crunchy than pickled to me. Baja Salmon Tacos $13 The guac and salsa in this taco were delicious! Unfortunately the salmon was a little on the dryer side than I would've liked Gouda Mac N Cheese 5/10 Was good! I def plan on coming back to try more off of their menu and grab a wine flight

I had a great experience at Sophie's Cork & Ale! The Hungover Burger was delicious -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The mimosas were also amazing and paired perfectly with brunch. I'll definitely be coming back; however, the service was okay.

The Duck Confit Benedict. Enough said. So good and different. Paired with a mimosa. And then an amazing beer on tap. Such a great place and the staff is great!

Finally Seaboy was chosen for a girls night and I went open minded. - The grill oysters, 5/5: just amazing, with my favorite being the creole flavored. I could eat 10 as a snack. I've been dreaming about the oysters. - Fried fish Cheek, 5/5: tender, flaky, great crunchy breading and not heavy. - Tuna Crudo, 4/5: as someone who is usually not a fan of raw fish, the flavor on this one makes me bypass the raw texture. Great hint of spice and nice freshness with the oranges. - Lamb Ragu, 4/5: homemade pasta and tender lamb. - Croquettes, 5/5: just tasty - Scallop Toast, 2/5: hard to taste any scallops and felt very oily. - Octopus, 2/5: our plate had 3 nice sized pieces, was cooked nicely but not much flavor. - Banana Bread dessert, 5/5: great texture and just delicious - Key Lime dessert, 5/5: deconstructed and just fresh and different. The service is top notch, attentive and friendly. I've been here 2 times in a month and it is packed every day of the week. There was a slight mix up with our oyster order which we didn't care about because we were in a deep yap session but they ended up comping our least favorite item ordered because they said we were chill overall which surprised us because all we said was it wasn't our favorite. Very excited that this place is close by and that the food lives up to the hype!

As expected given its origins, Xia's menu skews Vietnamese (pho, banh mi, fresh rolls, and lettuce wraps), but there are Chinese influences as well. That menu isn't terribly large, but it does offer a good deal of versatility, including vegetarian options. My wife and I went with steamed dumplings followed by short ribs and garlic green beans with beef and rice. The flavors were excellent across the board. The green beans were sharply garlicky without overwhelming the palate while the ribs offered lemongrass notes and a hint of sweetness. The dumplings will make it hard to go back to the frozen version any time soon. Service was friendly and generally attentive. Our group of four ended up receiving dishes at different times, a possible product of the "small plates" concept blurring the distinction between courses. Speaking of which, expect small portions, especially for the near-entree prices paid. Nothing was outrageous, but a "come hungry and fill up" joint this is not. If you can look past that limitation, Xia's Asian Tapas offers tasty food in an attractive location. Provided you aren't famished, it's worth checking out.

Omg, am I a reformed tapas lover? Or perhaps just a Proximo lover? I think... yes. We weren't super hungry, so we only ordered 5 plates total for the two of us, and we still left delicious food on the table. We sat at the bar, which overlooked the immaculately clean kitchen, and got to chat with the expo chef, Ben, who was conversational and personal but also left plenty of room for my date and me to feel private. Ryan, our waiter, recommended a fabulous albariño, which more than made up for not having cocktails on the menu. The biggest takeaway: the chef in charge was kind and communicative with all staff. It was truly a pleasure to watch this kitchen operate. If you leave the restaurant without trying the tuna ceviche, consider yourself unlucky. Holy smokes -- I would order 5 helpings of that every single time. We're out-of-towners but will be back, and we'll be telling our friends all about this lovely establishment. They had several big parties in and we just enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. What we got: Special cocktails and smoked old fashioned 100/10. My friend said it was the best smoked old fashioned he's ever had. Started with Flatbread, which was great. 10/10 It was the flatbread of the day, mozzarella, pesto and prosciutto. My friend and I had the Salmon. 9/10 It was perfectly cooked over sautéed spinach. I personally think a little something else with it would be nice. If you're really hungry, it wouldn't be enough food, but it was a perfect healthy option I was looking for. My friend got the butter chicken 100/10. Absolutely fantastic. Just spicy enough but not too much. I am a wimp and I loved it. Two others got the Katsu Chicken 100/10. This was the standout!! Perfectly crisp chicken breast cutlets, mashed potatoes, fresh perfectly cooked green beans, and a mushroom gravy. I wished I got this and will next time! Dessert: Key lime pie 5/10, just ok. Tasted more like a lemon bar to me. Tiramisu 10/10. Light, tasty, wonderfully done.
