The only thing that is wrong with this place is that it is not closer to my job or home! They did an amazing job on my brows and the pain was pretty minimal. I came in for a quick eyebrow thread. Didn't have to wait long. Checked it to get the deal. They were overall friendly. The salon was neat and clean. The lady who threaded me did a good job. Quick and easy spot! First time I came here, I desperately needed to fix my brows that I'd plucked into unsymmetrical and unflattering shapes. The girl who did them was amazing. She fixed them and advised me on where I still needed to grow them out. Second time I went was a about a month later to clean up strays that had grown out. The place was super busy though so I ended up with a different girl. She worked fast, but unfortunately my brows are uneven again because she didn't pay attention to shape at all, and just pulled out whatever looked like a stray hair to her. But for the price, it's not worth complaining too much about. I'll probably go back again. read more

This place is the first threading salon I've been to since I moved to NYC and it will probably be the only one that I go to from now on. The girl took her time and was so careful, going back and forth to make sure that my eyebrows were clean and even. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years, and never have I ever experienced such gentle threading! My brow area was barely even pink when she was done! I was in the city on business and seriously needed to fix my eyebrow game. I called and they were super nice, walked over there and found the place (nicely located near a pizza place around the corner, lol double win!) There was a small wait but they moved through us very quickly. I was concerned because I am not a local and feared the worse, but they did a great job, and so quick...perfect lining. I told her i didn't want to change my natural shape (here at home it's always hit or miss) but they were on point. Don't go here. I asked to keep the shape of my eyebrows. They threaded and thinned one eyebrow whilst the other was thicker. Then they argued with me and told me that my one eyebrow had lighter hair so it just looks like that. It will take me months to grow it back. read more

Just got my eyebrows done here after a traumatizing experience at a different salon. The previous salon I went to butchered my eyebrows leaving patches and making them uneven so I've been trying to grow them back in. The woman doing my eyebrows at this salon did her best and helped reshape my eyebrows to allow for the missing parts to grow back in. She was gentle and made sure to let me know what she was going to do before doing it. I will go back in two weeks to finally get my face back to normal. read more

I came here on the recommendation of a few friends from work. I had been an avid waxer over the past few years and was hesitant to try threading. I walked in on a Thursday night around 7 and was immediately taken to a chair. The salon was clean and well lit, so I felt comfortable right away. After about 5-6 minutes, my eyebrows were beautifully shaped! It definitely hurt less than waxing and for $7, it's a bargain. They also give you a stamp card so that for every six times you get your eyebrows threaded, you get the seventh time free! read more

I just found my new threading salon in the Herald Sq / Kipps Bay / Midtown East area. This place is great. Your experience comes with leather seating in the waiting area, TVs playing Indian music videos, and of course great professional threading job. They take cash or credit (which is a lifesaver since I never have cash). And after every 6th you get a free eyebrow threading so even more reason to show up 6 more times, at least! Best of all, the wait was not too long. I was nervous when I saw 4 people waiting but the whole experience (eyebrow threading) took about 20 minutes max which includes waiting time and the actual threading job itself. read more

I came here because of a Yelp waxing deal. I got a Brazilian and all I can say is, "Ouch!" The very nice, polite lady got it in on my "whooha." She was merciless with the ripping and totally unsympathetic to my cries of pain. And I was in pain for like 2 days. But she did a great job and I left smooth as a baby's waxed bum. Now that it's time for another wax, will I return to Perfect Look? Eh...no... I just couldn't bear it. I noticed that they did have a painless wax option.
