I don't live in NY, I was there on business and popped in on a whim since my eyebrows were in dire need of attention. The woman who threaded my eyebrows was excellent. I like my brows to be fuller, and all too often, when I get them threaded, the person threading takes too much off. But at Perfect Look, she really listened to what I wanted, and did a great job. I visited their new location which looked like a downgrade- you have to buzz into the building and walk up some shady looking staircase. I wouldn't mind the appearance of the new place but I was thoroughly UNimpressed by my new brows. The girl looked new and inexperienced and it showed. I asked her to clean up my brows but they came out uneven and she didn't seem confident in what she was doing. I'm kind of reluctant to give this place one more chance but we'll see I guess. read more

Quick and perfect brows every time. I've never waited more than about 7 minutes here even after work, the ladies are so nice and efficient.

I was in seriously sorry shape when I walked in; I hadn't so much as raised a tweezer to my brows in roughly three weeks, and it had been months since I'd had a professional near them. I walked out after six minutes looking much, much better. I'm always a little bit self-conscious when I come into a salon after not taking care of myself well, and the stylist (whose name I forget, unfortunately!) struck exactly the right balance between putting me at ease and also being very efficient. The salon is slightly close quarters, as you can see from the picture, but it's not loud at all--people aren't shouting back and forth, no one was on their phone or blasting music--and they're good at moving people in and out quickly so that it's never packed. It's also a great price, at just $7 for a very clean, professional operation. Only giving four stars because I spotted one or two stray hairs afterwards, making me feel like they might have valued speed over thoroughness. This could also just be because she had to basically reshape my brows completely, which meant she might not have been able to take the time to really go over them afterwards. Still, when the work was still less than ten minutes, I'd expect her to take the extra minute or two to make sure they're really perfect. With that said, definitely going to be coming back! I might just pay extra close attention before I leave to make sure she's cleaned up anything she might have missed. read more

I have extremely sensitive skin. My esthetician threaded my eyebrows and upper lip efficiently but left me with a few small cuts near my left eye. The skin under my brows also swelled up, which has never happened during waxing or threading appointments. This said, I liked how she shaped my eyebrows and you can't beat the price. read more

I got my brows threaded and my lashes tinted with a lovely young lady named Soru (pardon me if that's misspelled). The prices are excellent, and the work is impeccable. The salon space is truly NO FRILLS but feels clean. The entire staff appear to be very good, hard workers: clients are in and out very quickly, and seemed very happy with their results, too. Soru was efficient and quick while still very gentle (5 minutes threading, 15 minutes for tinting!). Highly recommended! read more

First time customer. I entered the salon and a women greeted me after getting off the phone. No biggie. Its slow around 12pm. Very nice but didnt say her name. Sat down for threading. Didnt hurt very much. But when i sat up my brows were very much not identical. I know the big reason is bc i have a scar on my right brow so they wont ever be the way i want but she did say to continuing to let them grow out and they will get to they way i like. A little brow makeup will just have to help make them the way i like for now. I will be returning. read more

Amazing experience. I have been getting my Brazilian done for ages now. I thought of giving sugaring a try and I am glad i did that. I must say I have been to many threading salon which I was not pleased with the way the others salons were not gentle or the salon was not clean ... I must say this threading salon is BARGAIN FOR YOUR BUCKS ... The girl FEMINA is so gentle she is so polite I will go to no other threading salon ever again.... As someone with unfortunately sparse and light brows, I'm always on the lookout for the perfect brow tinting place. In the past several months, I've probably frequented at least 5-7 places, ranging in salon quality and prices. This place ranks as my favorite (w/ Himalayan Threading Salon as a VERY close second). They work very quickly and are very detail oriented. The sweet employees also don't push you to buy additional services or tip. Morever, my eyebrow tinting looks phenomenal. I usually fill them in w/ powder even after a great tint job but this is the only place where I didn't feel the need to do so. Let's just hope they last a few weeks. Lastly, the price is unbeatable. $7 for threading and $10 for tinting?! Yes, please! This is an amazing price...especially compared to Himalayan Threading where I was charged more than $30 for the two services. The reason I'm docking 1 star is that I'm pretty dissatisfied with their lash extensions. I am no stranger to lash extensions and usually go for the mink applications. I came in here to just try it out and was a bit bummed to learn they only do cluster lashes. However, I decided to give it a go since it was only $25. While I applaud her effort, the employee uncomfortably had my eye pried open the entire time. Every time I had extensions applied, my eyes were closed. There was also no protection from the glue applied to my eye (no under eye stickers, no makeup remover, etc.) At one point, glue got on my bottom lash line forcing my eye shut. To this, the employee picked at it w/ tweezers...which was beyond terrifying and did poke me in the delicate under eye area a few times. Having the eyes kept open also burns quite a bit...my eyes actually watered enough to the point where I had tears streaming down my face. (Not as dramatic as it sounds...) Worst of all, there remains very obvious chunks of glue on my lid..enough to the point where I am now forced to wear liner (which is not something I have had to do since getting extensions) I asked her twice to address the glue chunks and, while she tried by rubbing some stinging remover on my lid, it didn't do anything. They are also impossible to miss so I feel she should have tried harder to fix that problem. I literally could not see out of that eye and it's extremely uncomfortable. I plan on returning tmrrw to have them removed. I would say you get what you pay for...but even at $25, I don't see what I paid for that I couldn't do myself. It took her maybe 10 minutes and I have about 5 cluster lashes per eye. To sum it up: PLEASE do yourself a favor and go here for your brows but steer clear from the lashes. read more

The girls that work here are nice but they seem to have a very difficult time understanding how you want your brows done. I went twice and had two different ladies and I explained what I wanted and when we were done and I looked in the mirror it was definitely not what I described. We had to do a back and forth till they got it right-ish. If you're patient and you have the time you can get the look you want otherwise maybe go somewhere where the communication and understanding is better. I probably won't return here again. read more
