She is a "goddess" according to my sister who lives down the street and will only let Saru and the owner Rita touch her brows. This is from a woman who once spent over $500 for a cut and color and obsessed about all things beauty. These ladies are a bargain but get the job done so, so well. Extremely pissed. I come here all the time and the women are never consistent so I can never get the person who worked on my brows the last time. How difficult is it to give an arch as opposed to the inverted commas I got! Could've done this at home. If you want to get inconsistency definitely come here. read more

this place is super close to my office, so i stopped in over lunch. there were a few girls working, only one other customer actually getting their brows done when i got there. the girl who took care of me barely spoke. she didnt ask if i was looking to do a certain shape vs. clean up etc just went to work. the finished product was uneven brows, and random patches that had been completely removed from my shape. thank god my wedding isnt for another year and that filling in brows are on trend. read more

My very first full arm wax EVER was here, and the aesthetician was so gentle and professional I zoned out! My second time visiting, the aesthetician (Pr**a) was so rushed and not thorough at all. My arms were still a bit sweaty from outside, but there was no baby powder prep. She struggled with the wax cartridges (trying several before one worked...unsure if they're disinfected). When she applied the linen strips, she didn't shift to get a clean patch of linen each time; she waxed using the same spot, so she was waxing with already wax-covered strips for an entire half arm at a time. This meant lots of tugging, pain, and inefficiency. By the time she was done (I cringed every time, it was so bad), I had splotches of red/purple near the tender spots by my shoulder/underarm where the capillaries had burst. See pictures. I went in this week Thursday & got greeted immediately. The place was very clean and organized. I was fortunate to get Saru to do my eyebrows. I briefly pointed out I knew my eyebrows were uneven due to my previous eyebrow ladies in the past. She then started fixing them up and the results was amazing. My eyebrows have not looked like this in the longest. Although, I do have sensitive skin my face is still red from the threading. But I will definitely come back here always. read more

Don't understand where all of the positive reviews are coming from.... Went in for an eyebrow threading session. The woman working on my eyebrows was very sweet, but did not do a good job. She left many stray hairs and I ended up tweezing my eyebrows that night! I get my eyebrows threaded on a regular basis and I can go at least a week after a threading session without having to pluck my eyebrows. It may have been the technique that she used. The reason it did not hurt as much as it should is because I believe she was ripping the hair with the thread, instead of pulling it from the root. When I got there, she was working on another woman's eyebrows. She used her scissors to trim the other woman's eyebrows. I noticed right away that after using the scissors to cut the woman's eyebrows, she did not clean them (the scissors were later used on my eyebrows). She also did not wash her hands or use hand sanitizer between the other woman's session and my session. After my threading session, the woman working there asked me if I'd like some lotion. I specifically asked her if it was face lotion, and she said yes. Well, it turned out to be generic aloe vera gel, which she rubbed all over my face-- with her unwashed hands. Gross. Immediately went home and washed my face. read more

Love this place. I get brows and lip threaded for $12. They have a frequent threading card so your 10th brow is free. And I'm never afraid of being stuck with someone who doesn't know what they're doing, they all do good work. Just make sure you tell them how you like your brows if you're particular. One woman went a litttttlllleee 90s thin on me once because I forgot to tell her I like the fronts thicker, but they were still impeccable. read more

I came here after a botch job at WOW THREADING SALON in Murray Hill. They completely ruined the skin around my eyebrows, so I waited a few weeks before heading into Perfect Look. I must say, after a wonderful experience with Ruby, I think I've found my permanent threading place. Ruby took her time on my brows, and unlike my experience at WOW, it didn't hurt as much (just a little sting at the ingrowns). She spent around 10 mins and made sure my brows were perfect. Even after she was done, she examined my right eyebrow (where there were a few hard to get hairs) with me in the mirror and made me lie down again so she could fix it. If that isn't someone who cares about the quality of their work, I don't know who is. Threading is $7 ($5 with the Yelp discount). Very cheap, but they aren't cheap in their work :) read more

This is one day after I got my lashes done. I specifically asked for individuals not cluster. They gave me cluster and charged me for the individual set. The glue was visible and the lashes were not even on both eyes. I had more lashes on my left side than on my right eye. Do not go here to get your lashes done even though they offer it. read more

Riya for the win again! I went to Pinky's Salon to try a closer place to my office and they made my eyebrows SO thin. I had to go back to Riya with my tail between my legs; I told her the story of how they over threaded my eyebrows and she could tell exactly where. As a result, she understood where I wanted to grow them out and worked with me once again on shaping them. She listened carefully and cleaned them up, leaving the right hairs to grow out again. This price is good, however my eyebrows came out horrible. The were not sister further less did they know each other. I specifically get my eyebrows threaded because of the control that can be used compared to wax. I have thick eyebrows and like to keep them that way but I like to get them cleaned up every once in a while. She literally ruined my eyebrows for the next two months they are so thin. Love this place. It's always very clean and the staff is friendly. I usually get my eyebrows threaded and tinted and I'm always satisfied! The eyebrow tint is my savior because my eyebrows are very light brown and filling them in all the time gets annoying. I've also gotten my eyelashes tinted for the first time here.
