I used to be a regular at this salon when they first opened and was happy with the service. The assistant I usually saw doesn't speak English well but always tried her best and was pleasant. Lately the salon has gotten much busier and the quality slipped. They're clearly overbooked -- appointments that should have taken about 90 minutes stretched into long waits, and the attention to detail wasn't there. At checkout they expect a tip automatically, which felt presumptuous. I'm normally a generous tipper, but if the service doesn't meet expectations I will still tip less than usual. I got my hair washed and the person washing my hair did not really scrub so my hair didn't feel very clean. He was just moving the soap in the same place. Eason was very thorough with my haircut which I really appreciated. I had long hair and was looking to cut my hair above the shoulder for a new summer look. I showed him a photo for inspiration and he followed it pretty closely. After the initial cut, he had someone blow dry and straighten my hair before he touched it up again. The person straightening my hair was pulling my hair pretty hard and I could feel and see strands of my hair being pulled out. I should've said something but he looked like he was having a bad day. I initially chose this salon based on recommendations from two friends that have gotten cut and color here. I just got a wash and cut. I decided to go with this salon because I looked through the photos and I really liked the way the cuts differed in shape and it seemed to be a signature (u cut, v cut, or more of a blunt cut).
