Was asked at 5:20 PM if I can wait another 15 minutes...I left, and went to Waipio Nails which I had a great experience at. The amount of time I wasted waiting for my appointment & the drive to Waipio Nails was about 1/2 the time it took for my appointment at Waipio Nails. I will not be returning here. I've been coming here for the past 9 years and usually they do a great job, but today I was extremely disappointed. I was so excited to come here after work since I had some time. I walked in for a pedicure around 5 and there were about 7 other people getting their nails done. I was seated right away with an older lady. I did my usual deluxe pedi ($33) with the clay, hot towel and the regular pedi services. I was enjoying the massage chair & catching up with social media while the nice elderly lady was doing my nails. Mid way through I asked her if she could do a design. It looked like she heard me. I was waiting for her to ask what type of design I wanted since they usually do that before putting the top coat. So I was still on my phone waiting for her to ask & she didn't so I asked again. Then she called over for another worker for her to tell me that she can't because she already put on the top coat. They could tell I was a bit irritated so they said I could wait for it to dry, but they made it seem like it wouldn't be a good idea to do over the top coat. I wasn't going to pay for a horrible job so I decided to just leave with my plainly painted toesies. I was the only customer in there & was surrounded by workers on their phones & getting their own nails done. I feel like they could've done a better job giving me other options. Such as just repainting my big toe & putting a design on it. I am seriously disappointed & will probably go do my nails somewhere else for my birthday that's coming up in a few weeks. The older lady who did my toes tried her best & was very apologetic so I still tipped her. I think I'm going to take a break from this place and check out other nail salons. read more

The first time I went here it was purely by chance. Maile was my nail tech that day and she did an amazing job on my gel manicure & pedicure. I went again a few weeks later and this time Tiffany was my nail tech who also did an amazing job on my gel manicure & pedicure. Both Maile and Tiffany did such an amazing job on my manicure, that you couldn't see or tell that my nails & cuticles were a mess at all. So I usually go to either Lavish at Kamakana or Onyx in Kapolei but I was told by a friend to go here since they do "amazing" nail art. Called first thing in the morning and made an appointment for 1pm same day. Awesome right! Took the drive from Ewa Beach to Mililani and arrived around 12:45, I usually go 10-15 min early to pick out my colors. The salon was not that busy but I still waited about 15 min after my appointment time to get assigned to a nail tech. The man was very nice (I can not remember his name) and asked me to sit at his station. Now I've never been here before so I don't automatically know where his station is so I headed in the general direction he pointed me in. The two open stations were completely disgusting! nails everywhere, nothing cleaned, I honestly was just going to walk out. I sat at the "cleanest" of the two and he came back about 10min after me sitting down. He told me that his station was actually the other chair. I told him there was no way I was sitting in that filth! Instead of being a professional and cleaning up his station, he just kept me next to it (which was also dirty). I told him I usually go to Lavish or Onyx and he said that they were "so expensive". Well, I went in for a fill and he said I needed a whole new set. Ok, so I asked how much it would be and it was $50 for a new set (a fill was $40 here!!!!! Lavish charges $35 new set and $25 fill!!!) so how are you "cheeper"? I got nail art as well which Ill give him credit, he worked hard on it but he was very flustered and frustrated that he was struggling. He paid a good amount of detail to my set (making sure everything was smooth and even), more so than any other nail tech had done before, so I appreciate that. But none of the tools are sterilized, I don't like using someone else's nail file (yuck!) and thats what they do, reuse without cleaning. He also answered a FaceTime call from his wife and child during my appointment which is not professional in my opinion, he also made me feel uncomfortable talking about drinking until he blacks out as well as seeing his friends breasts when he was drunk. Very strange for you to be telling a stranger that. Over all my nails turned out pretty good, now I just have to pray I don't get a fungus infection like im seeing others post about! Will I be back, NO, not ever! Clean up your shop and start acting more professional please! *I've attached photos to back my claims up!* read more

The space has lovely large glass windows, which reminded me of a green house. It allowed the place to feel breezy and it didn't have any sort of chemical smell you might find at other nail salons. I was here for a deluxe pedicure, and although I might suggest for the foot massage to be longer and stronger, I did appreciate the prompt and friendly service. I started visiting this location a couple of years ago and I really do like Perfection Nails. It's just never convenient for me. It's a very popular nail salon so they are always busy! I only decided to visit because I had a friend from beauty school that worked here. She has since left, but I've still tried to come whenever the nail spot closest to me was full. But most times the wait is at least 30-45 min. here... although I work in an appointment based salon myself, I do not practice what I preach. Then again, nail salons don't really keep to appointment times anyways. Prices are comparable to the other nail salons in the area. Everything from pedicures, manicures, acrylics, gel, & body waxing is offered as far as I can tell. Lots of parking around the lot. I really wish I had the time to wait around, then I'd visit this nail salon more often. One day I might even try to make an appointment to see if it makes a difference. read more

But from my understanding this place took walk ins and wasn't by appointment only. She THEN proceeded to tell me it would be an HOUR wait in which I responded "yes that's fine we can wait." Walked around the corner to grab some food. And called back at 3:13 to make sure we were STILL set to go. And the man on the phone decided to say they took other people because we answered "that's fine." And they THOUGHT we weren't coming back. 1. Why would you TELL us an hour wait and then when I call to verify go ahead and say you took other people but couldn't take us. 2. WHY lie. PERIOD. 3. The man on the phone was completely RUDE and obviously they do not care about their customers. I've been here a couple times before and only a few of the nail techs are great. I've been going to this salon for years and had my first negative experience yesterday morning. It started off with my pedicure, when the technician filed down my entire big toe. Then she cut too much off the sides of my big toe which made me bleed. She didn't apologize for it either. My $47 pedi was half a**ed after another customer was waiting in line after me. It was not relaxing at all. Next was my gel manicure. I asked for a square shape which she did minimally. She did not take her time cleaning my nails as she should have. When she was applied the nail polish, the fading technique looked really nice so I decided to brush off the poor cleaning service and tipped her pretty well. When I got home to look a little closer at her work, I noticed bubbles in the gel and the sides of the polish on a few of my fingers, looked like it was about to peel right off... Which it did. All throughout my services, my technician was having this long conversation with another worker who was folding towels. I felt like that was a factor of her poor service and found it unprofessional. So far, two of my nails with the gel have peeled off clean. My bill came out to $80.63 and I tipped the technician $16 in which she did not deserve. read more

This is my 3rd time going to Perfection Nail and my 2nd time going to TK. I made a mistake of "cheating" on him the last time I went and got my nails done by someone else and definitely paid the price for it. It wasn't done right or nicely and I was not satisfied with it. After a week, it already started to chip off. I came back today to get it fixed and requested for TK. He's really nice and constantly asks if he's hurting you or if you're comfortable. He's easy to talk to and really listens to what you want to do. He makes sure that the outcome is perfect and he's very detailed. The two times I've gone to him, I was more than happy with the outcome and his service. Overall, I love the salon. Everyone is friendly and inviting. They say hi to you when you come in and all of them are always smiling. Tam (the front desk) is really helpful in answering questions and tries his best to accommodate you. Also, he keeps you updated if/when you're waiting. I've been to some salons where they're yelling across the room while pointing at you and you don't know if you're next or even who's gonnna take you in. I love going to this salon.
