Run out of their personal residence, it's like visiting an old friend. They were very nice, inviting, and you can see that they really care about their birds. They have assorted cages for the different stages of development. They have a separate room for the breeding pairs, and the owner goes to great lengths to make certain the birds are happy, and comfortable every step of the way. Our visit there was very educational. You can see that the owner is very knowledgeable about the breed. She treats each of her birds like her own children, and shows genuine concern that they are going to a loving home. When we met our Parottlet, we were invited to the kitchen table where they have created a small playground for the birds to play. We were trying to choose between two birds. The owner placed the birds onto the play area, and the birds instantly came to life, popping in and out of burlap hide aways, climbing up and down wooden stairs, and merrily chirping about as they went. While they were playing, the owner went on to discuss the personality of each of the birds, gently scooping them up and pointing out the details of each bird's colors. The conversation was peppered with fun facts about parrotlets, and what we should expect in the next few weeks of development, which foods are best, and foods to avoid, etc... With all of the stories we hear about some breeders, mindlessly churning out birds, puppies and kittens for profit, it is really nice to see that there are still breeders out there who are more concerned with the health and happiness of their animals. We had an outstanding pet buying experience with Noni's, and I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in owning a Parrotlet. When we arrived home with out bird, we soon found that parrotletts like two things above all other activities: Eating food, and being scratched and pet. As a pet owner who is new to the Parrot species, one of the first things on my mind was, how do people train parrots to sit on their shoulder. I was happy to find out, they just naturally enjoy sitting on your shoulders. They will sit on your shoulder and preen, and chirp all day. Until they get hungry, or wish for you to pet them. They love to be scratched on the cheeks, under the chin, and the back and top of their heads. They also like to be pet from head to tail. Because these birds were hand fed, and lovingly handled by the breeder, they are really good about stepping up, being held, being moved from place to place around the house. They will generally follow you around like a little puppy, and to be fair, they are still a baby. Though they grow a little bit after you get them, they are very close to full grown after the first few months, and they don't get very big. I would say for comparison they are the size of a petite sparrow. They are a really easy bird to get along with, and a good first bird. The breeder had clipped their flight wings, and mentioned that aside from keeping them out of danger, it would allow them to form a stronger bond with you, as they have to stay very close. With their wings clipped, they can only really slow their decent to the ground upon trying to fly away. As they grow, it is up to you it will be your choice as to whether you continue to keep the wings clipped or not. We chose to allow her wings to grow back naturally, and allow her to fly as she wishes. When you do this it is important to keep an eye on them, they are not as big as their larger parrot relatives, and their size can get them in trouble. They also do not know what is and is not dangerous, like flying into an open oven for instance. They won't go out of their way to do something dangerous, but like a small child, it is your responsibility to make sure their curiosity does not put them in danger. It is an interesting process to watch them when they first learn that they can fly at 100 percent. It takes them a few weeks to really get used to their new found abilities, and for the first few days they're like a drunken helicopter pilot. They are very curious, and also fearful of new objects, or experiences. Sometimes, when you bring a new toy home for them, they will at first be terrified of it. Then after a while, and after you reassure them that it is okay, they will carefully start to play with it. After a few hours, they'll climb all over it, just like they've known it their entire life. Unfortunately, I've run out of room for this review, but suffice to say, Noni's is a great breeder, their birds are top notch, very healthy, energetic, and full of personality. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I did not get the chance to meet his dad, but Zoola was such a calm dog. I can see where Oakley gets his great temperament from. He does not bark at anything really, and is pretty easy to train. The breeders worked on potty training (on wood pellets) before he came home, which was so helpful. Oakley naturally wanted to go potty outside, or on the bark potty pad I got for him. He is a healthy dog. Came with his first set of vaccinations, deworming and flea treatment, as well as being microchipped. I also received many puppy pictures throughout his first 8 weeks before he was old enough to come home. Would definitely recommend puppies from BCCR!

TLDR: got a bully? Don't go to DuPont Vet…read more From visit one with my rescue, we were mistreated. He was an untrained dog who needed care. I spent thousands on training. Nonethless, each visit we were treated as though my pup is something to be feared. I worked diligently to support him, providing treats and a muzzle as needed. I took the staff feedback yet I always felt like they did not care and were afraid. Feelings are not facts so here are some facts: He presented with allergy issues. I started cytopoint at $275 every 4 weeks. This totaled over $3,000. He was having paw issues. Never was he given a cytology. I continued to bring him every 4 weeks for care with no improvement. My concerns were dismissed from every staff member I encountered. I saw another vet and he was immediately tested and turns out he had staph. In his paws. Which required an extremely high dosage of antibiotics for 3 weeks and a prayer that his staph was not drug resistant He also had a significant reaction to anxiety medication for pre vet care. I describe it as doggy psychosis and detailed the scary symptoms. When I reported my concerns I was dismissed and in fact told to double the dose. In a text. From a Receptionist. No call. No concern for his well being despite me calling and asking for a call back. When I stated I would not give those meds again I was told pre vet med was not optional and I should consider a mobile or other vet. No asking how he was doing, is he getting better or offering care. I met with the hospital manager. She listened and affirmed my concerns. I appreciated her time. I checked in a few times and was told it was being investigated. More than 7 weeks after my initial meeting I was given a response via email that stated I did not share any concerns and that his staoh could have been uncontrolled allergies. There has been zero effort from corporate to rectify this, only blaming pet and owner. Yet again this team is dismissive and unprofessional. Never will I ever recommend this vet for any pet care. It is disgraceful and shameful the way I and my pet have been treated. The greatest disappointment is this vet center used to be exceptional- my previous dog had amazing care under the previous vets. Selling to a corporation has been a massive decline in quality of care and staff.

On 6/6/25 I brought in my senior dog (doxie mix 17lbs) to check on a lump he had, and they…read moresuggested we also do a senior blood panel as part of an annual checkup. It seemed reasonable so I told them to go ahead. Upon bringing him in, he was acting normally. He was alert and wagging his tail, pulling at his leash, doing all of the normal dog things he does. After being taken into the back for bloodwork for 15 minutes (which felt like way too long), he came back a different dog. He was lethargic, wouldn't stand up, could barely move his head and his gums had lost all of their color (they were white). When I asked the vet (Dr. Dill) what he did to my dog he just shrugged at me, but once he saw his gums had lost all of their color, he became visibly worried and tried giving him some oxygen. After 10 minutes of oxygen it became apparent that he was NOT responding so I grabbed my dog and rushed him to the nearest emergency vet. We spent several hours at the emergency vet while they stabilized him. Once he was stable he was still not acting right and his red blood cell count was down from where it had been when we brought him in. My dog ended up spending 24 hours in the emergency room (totaling over $3500) and is still not fully recovered. The vets at the emergency hospital do not know for sure what happened, but after running all of the tests and observing him for 24 hours, believe it was a chain of events that began due to being overly stressed and having far too much pressure applied during the blood draw that was performed at Foothills. In no world did I ever think that a simple blood draw would almost kill my dog and cost me an additional $3500, but due to the incompetence of Foothills that's how my 6/6 and 6/7 played out. I would never recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone.

Those saying price increased- be realistic they have only raised them as needed- as many other places are FAR FAR more expensive and money driven. Dr. Strauss and Dr Long have treated MY BABY BOY. And both our cats. We have never had any issues and have had top notch care. The reality is that Veterinary clinics are under staffed over worked and doing the best that they can. There are VERY few good veterinarians remaining that actually care- that listen, that do everything they can to help. I have been able to get a new addition in to see them, I have been able to get my new kitten in but yes I did have to wait- Instant gratification doesn't exist in the vet world. I've also been able to get exceptional emergency care when needed though. As a helicopter dog mom whose dog has a massage therapist, a chiropractor, a behaviorist, two trainers and swim coach- I am INSANELY picky about who touches my dog or takes care of him. I have extremely high some what unrealistic expectations of the medical team- and Dr Strauss has never let me down- has understood my concerns and has provided exceptional care. The support staff are flooded with phone calls, follow ups and taking care of the lobby- if you've ever sat there you would see they aren't sitting about chatting it up- they are slammed and constantly busy. So yes you may have to wait but they do make sure that if it's an emergency they address it right away- I'm not sure that people's expectations are realistic especially given today's circumstances. I personally book appointments as far out as I can and don't wait til the last minute because I understand the difficulties and demand- I also know when a business is truly doing their best and genuinely cares- Tahoma's Staff care deeply and give it everything they've got to take care of pets and people- so maybe give them a break!
