Twice now, performance ford had had my back. I first got involved with PF when trucks fuel filter broke and left me stranded when the pandemic first kicked off. Long story short, Performance ford made some calls amd got me taken care of after hours. They made sure I was taken care of and they could have easily just said that they couldn't help. They went above and beyond for me. Secondly, I was just in the market to trade in my truck and get a new one. Since there is a chip shortage getting a new truck with the exact options you want on it is really hard right now. I decided to give performance ford another try since they helped me out previously. Again they went above and beyond making sure I got exactly what I wanted. The truck was not initially available but I never gave up and I think they pulled some strings to get me into it. I'm really grateful my truck search is over and it's only because they helped me out. Otherwise I'd be dealing with every other ford dealer in Socal looking for the right one. I had a service issue when I first went to performance Ford. I also had some initial issues with contacting them about my concerns with the service I received. However, they apologized for the issues with leaving messages and have since resolved that problem. They went above and beyond to correct the concerns I had. Adam stuck to his word and worked with me to come to an agreeable understanding. Despite my initial challenges, I would highly recommend this location and working with Adam. When I say "helped" I meant, I was just asked what I wanted and went in circles with this woman. I've been to plenty of dealerships and I have never been so poorly treated. The dealership lured us in with a price of 35,000 and then came with these hidden, fine print fees which then brought our sales price to 44,000. The fine print says it's temporary and can be purchased, which seems to me like it is an option to have them added. It is not an option so prepare for those extra fees. Our sales person knew nothing about the vehicle. He didn't even know the vehicle was a 4x4. A very basic thing the sales person didn't even know. Then we called and told our salesperson to get the vehicle ready for us, we were gonna go pick it up around 3. We arrived at 2, took for a test drive and the vehicle wasn't detailed or filled up until 530. We had to wait an additional hour or so for the finance manager since they only had one working on a weekend. After that, they brought us a "detailed" suburban filthy. The seats had dirt all over it and the cargo area had dirt everywhere. Piles of it, had the sales person take it back and the excuse was they only had one person back there. Even though I saw multiple workers back there. Then I got in the Suburban after asking our sales rep if he was going to fill it up and detail. He said yes, just to see the tank below a quarter tank. Then to top it off, we left a bad review and the sales manager called and asked why we left a bad review and then asked for the vehicle back so then we could remove the review. He Kept asking how to make it better and it just wasn't a friendly conversation. I told him to have a good day. Then 2 mins later I got another call from the sales person Ivan, asking how to make it better and if I wasn't happy to just bring the car back and then remove the negative review. I went in to look at the new Mustang Mach-E, potentially thinking of getting one. I fell in love with the car. I even test drove it, fell head over heals with it! When it came to talking numbers. It was the worst experience ever. The sales man was great, very nice and experienced. But he doesn't call the shots. Had me thinking I should go with Tesla instead. The markup price on the Mach-E was extremely high. It would be better to get a Tesla. There are no pricing games or haggling with Tesla. Why pay over sticker price? I get that's how dealerships make their money. I get a few thousand more is a little understandable but almost 30k over sticker price? That's insane! Do they really want to sell the car? After I purchased my CPO 2020 Transit van on a friday afternoon in March 2022. These hacks told me they were going to detail the van, and install lo-jack over the weekend (which they forced me into. i did not ask for, and they added to the invoice) and I could pickup the following monday. On the following monday: The Van suddenly had a 6 foot long hole in the roof. The DID NOT EVEN TELL ME! They were apparently HOPING I WOULD NOT NOTICE??? I demanded they address this issue. They lied and tried to cover it up several times. But after pressing it was finally divulged by checking their security cameras that one of their employees drove it into the parking garage and it was too tall, so it scraped the ceiling, causing the 6 foot hole. they eventually offered to fix it, at no charge. Which is the right thing to do. here is the problem: That was OVER 3 MONTHS AGO!!! These guys have been terrible at customer service every step of the way. It took them over 2 MONTHS! to get me a loaner. And I had to harrass them every other day for weeks to get it. They claim the sales manager was let go, and that is why my service has been so bad. but months go by and nothing gets better. They promised me that as an apology, they would fix a non-related dent in the side of the van. As a thank you for putting up with all the BS. After over 3 months I FINALLY get the van, and the dent is NOT FIXED. even though they told me it was. I called them on it, and they told me the dent guy couldn't reach it. Which is total BS. they did not even try. I am gonna have to fix it myself. which is insane. I paid over $50K for a used cargo van, and these guys have literally done nothing to say "sorry for messing this up every step of the way". Oh, and to add insult to injury: they accused me of scratching their Loaner van!!!! Thank god by the time I got my loaner van, I had the wits to photograph the van when I got it. Which CLEARLY showed the scratches they tried to accuse me of existed BEFORE they gave the van to me. Again, no apologies from them for the false accusation. Just silence. I called to purchase a Raptor Gen 3. They said over the phone "we can make $10,000.00 over work, just come in." I went in and found out that it was $30,000.00 over after driving an hour and a half. Then the sales man said this is normal. I will make it happen. It didn't happen. After another 3 hours of waisted time it cost me $15k over. I went in the finance department and the numbers didn't match. They changed numbers to make me pay an additional $10,000.00 in warranties that I didn't even know about. They tried asking me for warranty add Ins but I said no. So it disrupted there add ons. Once it came out they tried cleaning it up and saying ok it's 15k over with a $1,600.00 spry in bed liner. This review is long overdue! My husband purchased a pre-owned F150 from Performance back in December 2020. The whole purchasing process was great. Our salesman, Chris (who isn't there anymore), was great and helpful. Fast forward to March 2021...we still have yet to receive our registration/plates. I know the dmv is jammed pack but I've purchased other vehicles at other dealerships during the pandemic and have received registration/plates within a month. Both my husband and I would call about 2-3x a week to speak to anyone to get some answers as to why we haven't received anything yet. At this point, he is now driving with an expired temporary plate/registration that we got from the dealership. We constantly got the run around from this place. A whole bunch of "we'll look into this and call you back". NEVER received any call backs from anyone! It was so frustrating and a complete nightmare dealing with this because no one wanted to do their job. April 2021 and still nothing! Still no answers and constant run around again whenever we called. I even emailed and called the then general manager but apparently he was never around (called on a weekday and weekend). Their DMV person at the time was also never in and she never ever called us back with any updates. She was also almost never in the office whenever we call and apparently she didn't have a schedule because no one could ever tell me when she would be in. How did this dealership even stay operating?!? After many frustrating calls and constant nothings from this place, we were told that they hired a new DMV rep named Becky. She was the answer to our prayers! She worked with my husband to take care of his registration and kept in constant communication with him. He was also informed that the pre-owned f150 that he purchased didn't have the required smog check prior to performance reselling it so he had to go get a smog check himself. Unbelievable! But we finally received our registration/plates in June 2021! I know that this dealership has a new general manager and I really hope that things will change for the better because no customer should go through what we went through. Like I said, it was a complete nightmare and terrible customer service until Becky came in. Service department needs some major improvements. 1) You have to leave your vehicle truck in my case with them for multiple days in order for a technician to evaluate it. 2) They do not offer any type of loaner vehicle; I use to get a loaner vehicles when ever I needed to leave my Infiniti or Lexus longer than a day and I don't get one for my truck that cost 75k. 3) Never got an update from the service department for several days; I have tried calling and getting a hold of someone for answers but it is impossible to reach anyone. 4) Left several messages and no one ever calls back. The truck is listed at 49,500 and after a week of emailing back and forth with Ivan (salesman). I shot an offer of 44,000 and he replied "Great! when can you come in"? Today I walk in looking for Ivan and apparently he was busy so I was helped by some other salesman. I explained to him that I already discussed numbers with Ivan and that I wanted to finance with my own bank. They beat around the bush saying they can get me lower apr so they run my credit. I bought a Ford maverick in December, the sales person made a very inappropriate comment. Like I can't write on here, but it made feel awkward. He also lied about what was on the truck cuz I said several times and asked if it had the 4k tow package and he said it , even on The website. So today after no answer from anyone after trying for months. I went in . The sales manager was nice he did offer solutions, But when I sat down with GM. he said well when you buy a car you have to do all the research then said what do you want. I did do my research but there wasn't much info on the car out to the public. And I did ask several times if was the 4k tow. Then he lead with what do you want in a condescending tone so I leave abruptly. Which I felt bad for so I called back once I cooled down to apologize. Then he said we'll you already wrote the bad review and was trying to help and then repeated what he said ealier... so there was no point in continuing the conversation. High employee turnover. For some reason, the employees don't get along with the management. My head gasket went out at 50k and it damaged other parts of the engine. That year Ford pistons were softer than they are today. My Coyote 5.0 went bust at 125k with great maintenance. The quote for a new engine was 9k and it took two days to get. The main thing is it is super expensive and your vehicle won't last longer. Last time in I paid around $330 for brake pads on the rear. They don't do loaner vehicles anymore. You can get a ride home after dropping off for service, but they don't like to do it very much. I would say it's only a good place to go if you are made of money and don't care if the quality is top notch. I would say their work is average generally and their service is a little above average - not great. One of the main problems is that the service reps don't know cars. In a real mechanic shop, the guy at the counter knows how to make decisions about cars. The waiting room is nicer than most places. You can get free popcorn, drinks, and wifi. The shop rate is around $150.00 per hour. If you need tires rotated, a flat tire fixed, or an oil change, they don't like to do it. Instead book those kinds of things with other expensive repairs at the same time. Don't just go in for an oil change and rotated tires. read more

On Thursday, 28 April, at my request, Mr. Juan Valencia sent me a quote for a 2021 Explorer that I accepted. I confirmed that I would travel on Friday, 30 April to complete the purchase. Due to an emerging work conflict I contacted Juan to that point and rescheduled to Sunday, 02 May. I followed up the confirmation with a phone call to the Sales Receptionist. After traveling Sunday morning for two hours from San Diego (with my 13 year old son!), the on-duty Sales Manager refused to honor their own written offer on the model we had both agreed to, stating that it was only good for the day it was written. At no time was that ever mentioned or implied. Further, the Sales Manager was rude through the entire process in tone of voice and behavior, dismissing the Performance Ford quote as a mistake and that he was under no obligation to honor it. That said, I want to compliment Mr. Moe Jazar, the on-duty Sales Rep at the time, who was the epitome of courtesy and hospitality while I was there. He was caught in an uncomfortable situation and he conducted himself with the utmost decorum! During the rather unpleasant discussion, I noted that the vehicle I had intended to purchase was parked off to the side of the lot behind another row of vehicles and had never been prepped, leading me to believe that there never was an intention to honor the quote. I've been wanting to write this for a while now but I think now is that time, I went out thanksgiving weekend and wanted the Mach E Samia helped was very nice and showed me a 2021 with 2400 miles on it selling as new.... Wondered why it had so many miles on it. Couldn't answer me.... And sold the vehicle as new because it was never registered, a couple days later I find a reg from Michigan..... I also Asked if it had recalls on it and said no from what management said, went to finance, and they lied to me about numbers and what it included. Took off from the dealership. They called me at least 10 times after I told them I had a meeting at work.... Ended agreeing on a price.... A day later I get called from finance manager I needed to go back to sign new paper work. Another day later I get called by sales team asking how I was doing with car. The next day I get called by service manager saying I had to take the car since it had 4 open recalls.... Got me so frustrated as I asked if it had any.... I thought they couldn't sell a car that wasn't ready to be sold..... when I went, a Saturday later, I asked to break contract Because they lied to me, and said no cool of period in California.... But they sure can run your credit 3 times without asking you...... Also, bank they got me afterwards is just a big show.... Now I need to take more time out of my day to refinance the car... The day I took it in, they wouldn't even provide me with a rental even though service manager said they would..... and I got frustrated, after so much frustration they ended up giving me one. The car stayed at the dealership for a month.... When the day of the sale happened, they told me I would get a second key and a full detail, they said they couldn't find the second key and a full detail. Till this day it's been over 3 months now and haven't received either..... even after it was in their hands for a month...... I am over this dealership, worst service ever, never to buy from them again... they just have lies after lies.... Not worth the extra money I paid over MSRP..... Went to look at a 2021 Ford F150 XL this morning. Pretty much a base model with a few options-MSRP $33,535.00. We were met by salesman "Mo". On the way to look at the truck he mentioned, in passing, that all of their vehicles were subject to markup due to "current market conditions". When I asked him what the markup was he wouldn't specify but said it would be close to MSRP. After looking at the vehicle, we sat at the dealership for a while waiting for "Mo" to come up with the so-called magic number. He eventually produced a price sheet that listed a $6,700.00 markup, an additional $1,995.00 for a LoJack and $1,200.00 for some other item. In addition, just below the tax line on the price sheet, where license fees and other regulatory charges are listed, was a $4,995.00 charge for a "VSC Fee". When I asked "Mo" what the fee represented initially he didn't answer, but later admitted it was for a vehicle service contract that was not requested nor discussed. In total, the mark-ups were approximately $15,000.00. No, I'm not kidding. With the mark-ups and tax and license they were asking $54,000.00 for a base model. Of course, we got up and walked out. We were soon followed outside by the sales manager who asked with surprise what the problem was (like he didn't already know). Obviously, I told him the mark-ups were unacceptable. Again, he seemed surprised (unconvincingly) that we would find the mark-ups objectionable. He asked me if I would be willing to do the deal at MSRP and I said I would without all of the mark-ups and extra fees. He went back into the office for a minute and came out with a new price sheet which offered to split the $6,700.00 markup in half while leaving all of the other extraneous mark-ups in place. So much for MSRP. When I told him again the offer was unacceptable he began to tell me that I obviously didn't know what the "current market" was and that I was unrealistic in thinking I didn't have to pay a substantial mark-up to purchase a vehicle. He told me to take his card and call him when I couldn't find a deal. Yeah right. We just kept on walking. An hour later, I bought an extremely low mileage pre-owned F150 in perfect condition, still under manufacturers warranty, along with an extended warranty all for less than the MSRP of the new truck. Apparently, I have no idea what current market conditions are like. After my experience at performance Ford I will never set foot onto another dealership again. There are numerous outlets to purchase a vehicle without having to set foot on a dealership lot. I wonder if Ford as a company believes that it is appropriate for dealers to stack on excessive mark-ups and to push unneeded and unwanted items and contracts disguised as fees onto customers. I assume they believe that's the dealers prerogative, but in a sense they represent the manufacturer and the brand. Because of this, you would think the manufacturer would insist on some basic standards of conduct and consistency in the sales process. More likely it's the dirty little secret that manufactures don't want to address. Traditional manufactures better pay attention. New car makers like Tesla and Fisker and others are going to a direct sales model, where pricing is straightforward and service delivery is the focus. Obviously these companies make more money without the dealer in the middle, but the direct sales approach provides more consistency in the selling process and produces less hassle for the buyer even if there is a little less dealmaking to be had. The dealership model is like a cancer that needs to be cut away and discarded. I wonder how long Performance Ford will stay in business, without another advertisement begging for new customers claiming the dealership is "under new ownership". read more

Finance manager doesn't even know how to write a contract. 7 weeks after I purchased my car, I finally got my registration and they put a lien on my car that I purchase with full cash. Instead of helping me out, he told me to contact DMV and I did. The issue I had that Performance Ford said would cost me $500 and would not be covered by FORD, I ended up going to Ford or Upland for help. They ended up having to fight for us because of the notes entered into the Ford system by Performance Ford, but got us through and everything was covered by our warranty. Upland of FORD had exceptional service, they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Upland went out of their way to treat us not only like human beings, but valued customers. Stay away from Performance Ford and drive the extra couple miles to Upland. read more

Negative Stars is the only thing this place deserves.. An that's still to good . An after reading the reviews I wish I would have never bought me truck here or brought it for service. Bt fine what's done is done. I took my truck for service at 7:30ish' in the morning. Everything was ok, no issues they said that they would call me to tell me what was needed fine . I told them just to call me. I get a call maybe 20 min later that they are having a special on WASHING N DETAILING INSIDE AND OUT Right now if I was interested. My mistake was not asking the cost. I said sure.. As far as what was getting done to my truck I'm Still waiting for a call to tell me what was going to be needed... lol Finally I get a call that my truck would be ready at 4:30pm an If I could pay them before hand . I was showering my kids so I had To call them back. I didn't get a chance right away bt they called me back for payment. I paid WAY MORE THEN NEED be FOR A HORRIBLE WASH N DETAIL. Soooo IM EXPECTING TO SEE MY TRUCK IMPECCABLY CLEAN!! Especially since it's been with them for 8hrs. Plus.. I was WRONG!! Looked like a half ass Job. Poured water on it hoped it sun dried and kinda rubbed the windows with a rag and SLAMMED THE INSIDE WITH way too much Armorall to give it the illusion it was clean and bombed it with cents to smell nice. I was slipping trying to get in that's how much Armor All they put. I always inspect my truck when I get it washed. It had streaks everywhere, dirt on the inside, A large stain of water/cleaning liquid of some sort (that WAS NOT THERE) is now there, the entire bed of the truck is still dirty, the passenger mirror had bird poop when I took it in and yup, it was still on there. I asked to speak to the manager and guess what, no one could help me cuz service manager left for the day. I know a manger has to be on site! An they still tried to say no one was there. So I said I need to speak to someone an I mean now. Finally some man came out (looked like he could give no care to talk to me.) I started to explain my issue an he said , "i can not help you! (Unapologetic didn't even seem like he cares) Service manager is gone you'll have to come back on Monday." An kept repeating this over n over. I told him If you come and see the job that was done then you'd see why I was upset. He gave me an attitude an acted like he was doing me a favor by going to look at my truck. I explained to him, I work in customer service and regardless of who makes the error as a "COMPANY" we all look bad. An we all need to correct the issue at hand. This man gave me some smug look and repeated "i can't help you!" That SET ME OFF! NOW I DO NOT WANT U TO FIX IT I WANT MY MONEY BACK.. He went on to say," you probably didn't give them enough time. " Lol I told him it's been here since 7am!!! He says,' I do not know that?!" I showed him the ticket an it clearly said 7am.. So now what else is my fault you're company couldn't complete the job correctly that I PAID FOR. He continued to tell me a bunch of BS and I was over it!!! An since clearly he wasn't going to do anything about it I had to wait till Monday. An his face said it all, "I DO NOT CARE!" This is horrible customer service. I have never been treated so badly at a auto dealership. Not only did they raise the price of the vehicle to thousands over the sticker price but they also lied about the advertised interest rates even though our credit rating is outstanding. I would not recommend Performance Ford to anyone. They are unscrupulous and think nothing of deciving their customers. I would give them less than one star If I could. read more

I told sales guy names Ivan that 2 days ago I went to bobwondries ford alhambra denied my credit application due to recent trade in(2 weeks just trade in my other car) and the car still show up on the credit report.and he said "dont worry i have finance guy can call ford and take care of that ,you will get approved i guarantee that". When i come down there ,due all the paperwork ,it turns out he was a liar, there is no finance guy whatsoever.it just regular sales manager who sit behind the desk do all the numbers who took care of me.no finance guy calling ford.
