The car had been sitting in my driveway for 45 days Ihad to upgrade my AAA to have the car towed to him for the turbo repair as he refused to pay a tow truck himself. Well, now he is mad that I refuse to pay the additional repairs that were not approved. He is greedy, cheap, and his mechanic rigs parts on the car to make them work. My car was totaled over a month ago and I needed a car fast. This was my first experience buying a used car from a dealer and from what I heard it wasn't good so I did my research and went to see Chuck who gave me a friendly and honest vibe instantly. I ended up spending quite some time examining a 2010 Honda Accord with my girlfriend and was surprised at how patient Chuck was being and so that was greatly appreciated and one of the reasons I bought the car. I strongly believe in the stereotype that most if not all dealerships will try to scam you one way or another, however I always try give the benefit of the doubt cause you never know when you'll find an honest seller. However Cars 4 Less proved that there is nothing honest about them. Found a beautiful 2011 Camry in mint condition, only thing wrong with it was a small repaired star shaped crack on the windshield, asked if a discount was possible to replace the windshield, now if only he would've stopped at "no i can't do any more discounts" I would've been fine with it, who doesn't like straight forwarded answers from dealerships, right? However, after telling me he can't do a discount he kept on going with the typical dealership BS lies. "Windshields for Camrys are backordered throughout all of the U.S., you can't find them anymore" Now as soon as he said that, I knew he was spewing out pure bullshit. So then I pulled my phone out, went on eBay, and searched for a replacement windshield, and oh wow what a surprise! At least a dozen listings locally! "Backordered" my ass, however I did not confront him about it instantly because I wanted to see what he would say about it. So I asked him where does he get his windshields from, he said he gets them from a supplier and he only gets OEM windshields, alright so are they out of stock at the dealership? (I know they would never be out of stock, obviously) he told me it's too expensive at the dealership. Alright, that's understandable and fair enough, $700 is too much for a windshield that has a small repaired crack and I agree, but shows to prove that they aren't backordered "throughout all of the US". Next, I decided to tell him about a used OEM windshield listing for $120, he got visibly irritated and started telling me about how he already spent $60 on repairing the windshield and whatnot. I know you're reading this and i'm telling you buddy, you should've stopped at "No more discounts sorry". Lying isn't a way to do business and will only hurt your reputation and lead to potential buyers turning away. Alright whatever, the car is too good of an offer to pass up, so I was still thinking about getting it regardless of his lies. Guess what happened next? More lies! "2011 and up Camrys have timing chains, the previous models had timing belts" So two possibilities here, either he doesn't know shit about the cars he's selling, or he thought he could get away with one of the shittiest lies i've ever heard from a dealership. Toyota used timing belts for Camrys ONLY up until 2001, not a single Camry rolled out from the factory with a timing belt after that year. Didn't feel like confronting him about and arguing cause I just wanted the car, so I decided to ignore the ridiculous lie he just told me. Got through with the pricing and everything, told him i'll be back tomorrow morning with the cash. On my way back home, I thought "Do I really want to give money to a lying and POTENTIALLY cheating business?" No, i'm good. So, if you're the same salesman thats reading this, i'm giving you a round of applause and a congratulating you on turning a potential customer away just because you couldn't speak in a straight forwarded manner. Truly one of the easiest guys to work with. His son was as helpful as could be. This is a family business that's been around for at least 15 years and they know cars inside and out. Do not rent with this company!!!! They partner with Turo, a car rental app. During my second day of the trip, the car stopped working. When I put the key into the ignition it said the car did not detect a key, and would not turn over at all. I spent over an hour on the phone with Turo employees and eventually, after unlocking the car remotely from Cars 4 Less, it started. About 2 hours later when I returned to the car to leave, the exact same thing occurred. Not acceptable. I called Turo again and this time they cancelled my trip and gave me a full refund. Good on you, Turo. The next day I got a message from Cars 4 Less stating that the car was starting up just fine, obviously implying that my experience was untrue. I assured them that regardless of how the car was working then, it DID NOT work for me. Today, I received a message from Turo saying that Cars 4 Less is filling a freaking DAMAGE CLAIM with something about the headlights. Absolutely no incident occurred that resulted in damage to that car while I had it. This is such an obvious act of attempted retaliation for what they viewed as a false claim, which it was absolutely NOT.
