The guidelines require a visual inspection, and it was visually obvious that parts of the tank were covered by an RV pad, yet the inspector missed it entirely. What I paid a professional to catch ended up costing me tens of thousands of dollars in a major county violation and repairs. When I asked the company for their E&O insurance information to resolve it, they refused. Instead, they immediately put their lawyer on me, threatening me with legal fees to try to scare me away before even reviewing the facts. This company does not do a thorough investigation and relies on legal intimidation when they make a mistake. Beware.

Forest was able to come out the next day and perform the inspection even though it was the 4th of July weekend. He called me after the inspection to give me some of the highlights of the inspection. I had the report first thing Monday morning. I called Forest after going over the report with questions I had. Forest spent at least 30-45 minutes with me explaining the inspection and areas I should be concerned with. Based on the inspection, I feel I saved at least $20K in repairs which would of been required to make the house safe for future tenants. I terminated the contract with the seller. Between our builder (Rocket House Buyers) who clearly cheaped out on every aspect of this home and hid certain issues from us and this inspection company who didn't catch numerous faulty construction issues that have and still are costing us a fortune. The main house of the home was renovated while the back house was brand new. We were told Hedderman was the best by our real estate agent so we went with them. This is also our first home. Since then: We have had to have a leak fixed and mold remediation due to them not noticing a hose unattached from another hose in our attic We have had an HVAC system completely wired wrong causing thermostats to blow ALL of our windows and doors have been installed incorrectly leading to bad insulation and major leaks from rain. We are STILL trying to fix this but the cost is too high. Glass is not up to code on certain windows Sloping throughout the entire house is wrong. We have had to have cement demolished and repoured. Major cracks within the home and foundation are forming. Cabinets are falling out There was no drainage on the property. We had to put this in. The ENTIRE house was unsealed (not caulked) The list goes on, and some I have figured would not be caught by inspection but for the most part the inspection was an absolute mistake. We reached out and demanded another inspection, someone came by to simply discuss and have us show him the issues but it was not another inspection. We were told when he came back from travel we could talk and nothing came about it. I would think we could at least get the cost back for what we paid for the inspection but no offer. We found all of these things out either by seeing and managing the damage or by the copious amounts of professionals we have had over to give us answers. Hard to trust any business since.

The inspection included running all appliances and equipment, visual inspection of all accessible areas including attic and grounds, drone inspection of the roof and thermal imaging. I was present at the time of inspection and the inspector, Steve McCaddon, took time to discuss at length any apprehensions I had about the home. Texas Inspection also sub-contracted a septic inspector, Art Byrd who not only provided an inspection of the system but also provided a comprehensive set of guidelines to maximize the life of the septic. All of this was done at a 30% savings over the runner up. I will definitely use them the next time I am considering buying a home.
