New customer here. We were referred to Performance Sound Connection by our incredible mechanic Rodger over at All Pro Auto Repair in Sylmar. We wanted new audio speakers for our older Jaguar and also a dash/backup camera. He promised that Eric would take care of us and of course he did. We are so happy with our new sound. The camera will take some practice in the beginning but it will make backing into our snug garage a bit less challenging. The work is pristine and with Eric's help we were able to almost seamlessly update my old beast and yet keep her as close to stock as anyone can considering her advanced age. I got a reccomendatiom from FCK Light Bars to come here and get my ambient lighting kit installed on my Tesla Model 3. Dan from FCK Light Bars kept saying how they are worth the drive (I drove from San Diego) and that their cost is way better than anyone else. Trusting Dan was the worst thing I did here. I drove all the way from San Diego to get to Performance Sound Connection right at 9:00am when they opened on Monday, February 9th. Already the shop location had me feeling iffy as there was no waiting room and there was nowhere within walking distance that I felt really safe waiting for my car to be done. I left my car to get the 2nd generation center console installed as well as the ambient lighting kit. I will say the door panels look amazing and I wish the rest of car matched. The center console there were some surprising wiring issues when the research I have done prior to buying the new console stated that the wiring harnesses could be swapped from center console to center console and everything would work. That didn't seem the case here and it was difficult to communicate with Eric on what exactly I wanted. Upon waiting, it was determined that my car would need more time, so I called my dad, who drove all the way from Riverside, to lend me his car, so that way I could drive back down to San Diego to take care of some stuff, and wait to take delivery of mine. I trusted Eric based on what Dan had said before so I figured I would just leave it up to the professional and not overthink too much about it. Upon seeing the car that night it is sad to say I was severely disappointed with the job. My glove compartment has no compression spring, so when they took it apart, something must have been broken so now it slams open whenever I go to open it. The center console door does not open anymore and has a scratch on the top surface, the lighting strip does not fit perfectly in the center console (which was warned before but didnt think it would be as bad as they did it) and there is a seam that is not perfectly aligned and is extremely visible. This one was disappointing because Dan assured me multiple times that this lighting kit has everything measured and cut to fit the car and this install job makes it appear as if it wasn't. Also the power sources for each section of the kit are insonsistent. I am positive there is a way (as I have seen it done on other Teslas) to wire all of them to the same power so that they turn off and on at the same time. Instead, the doors are all on a separate power and I have to control the power to the dashboard and center console through the app on my phone. These are details that I expect specialized shops like this would nail but driving 4 hours to get this job done was not worth it and deeply regret everything. Worst part is that Dan quoted me about 300 for installation over the phone and I was charged 500 by Eric when everything was done. Not only was I lied to, but I drove all the way to get disappointed with a mediocre install job and wasted all that time and money. I am now in the process of looking for other shops to have this all undone and redone correctly and professionally. Please do not come here. Do your homework and choose a better shop. read more

A helpful warning to all the car audio people in the valley. Do not come to this "audio shop". I came to this shop to get my high end audio equipment connected. Erick the owner of the shop, installed my sound system but it wasnt installed properly and did not sound good. Erick installed a DSP DM-810 AUDIOCONTROL DSP, 3 amps, 1 front component, and one set of speakers on the rear doors. When he told me it was ready, I let him know that I wasn't satisfied with how his work sounded. Erik then told me that's all he was able to do. I had to go to a different shop to have it properly connected, i asked for a partial refund of $250, which is what was charged at the other shop for fixing and when the sound was fixed it sounded good, loud, and clean sound. On top of all that he damaged an expenisive component worth $1700 and he denied he had done any damage.They denied refund what i pay the other shop to fix their mess. Please see the invoice from the other shop who noted all the issues that needed to be addressed in order to get the system working as intended. I was having electrical issue with my car..... In short I met with Eric and he took care of my needs. His people found the issue and repaired at the same day. The price was more than fair for the amount of work that was done and I followed up the next day to have a Dash - Cam installed. I had just brought a new 2008 Jetta out the dealership everything working brand new and I go here so They can put on speakers for my back doors only and they took a while doing my left back door took them about an hour and 30 and other side 30 minutes and when I drove off after they finished my left side window wouldn't go down or up not only that my door did not lock or unlock so I went back and told them and they said the door had nothing to do with them doing the speakers but when I was watching them and hearing them do my left door they would tell me to go wait in waiting room because I knew something was up with them and the door because they had trouble putting it together and adding the speaker so then I told them what can they do to fix my door because it was locking unlocking and rolling down before I went there and they said I had to pay 200 for a new system for the door it's dumb because they know they messed the door up because they all had problems doing my left side door when they were adding my speakers so I would check windows and make sure doors lock before you decide to get there service because after I told them about the door they knew it was there fault and kept giving me a attitude and the older guy kept trying to give me a run around with the door saying it's making noises and locking but when I checked infront of him and showed him wasn't locking he got more upset and tried to blame it on my sensors and he checked my sensors and they were all good so just be aware. read more

I was looking into getting a stereo and alarm for my 2009 Dodge Charger, and started doing some research. I decided that I would go with #BestBuy but was let down, due to a range of inconsistencies. To elaborate further #BestBuy have you make a appointment, just like many other establishments, but don't tell you the appointment is for the company BB to tell you what you have to buy, which makes no since, then you have to make another appointment to get everything installed, before I get into #ErikPerformanceSound being the best installation/sound/price/informative and just all around the best audio dealer in the valley, which is located on 8846 Sepulveda Blvd #B, North Hills, California 91343 1(818)780-0951, I will finish off with the inconsistencies at #BestBuy, the company BB never answer the phone, and don't do the audio or alarm services at all location, so now that I told you my horrible experience with #BestBuy, I can get into the best in town, "ErikPerformanceSound"!. I decided to go to the dealership next door, which #ErikPerformanceSound is located and see what they were about, and Erik greeted me, and asked me what was I looking to do with my car? I explained that I wanted a alarm, because my car had been broken in to, and he showed me my options of alarms, and he took his time to explain in detail what each alarm does, and the brands etc. He gave me a reasonable price, and my alarm was done, and I left extremely satisfied. Moreover, in the conversation we had I let him know that I was interested in getting a sound system for my car. Let me tell you, Erik is a stand up guy, because he tells you what your car is capable of, and what you should do first, before getting any audio improvements for your car.
