I dropped off my 2019 xc90 to have an oil change and inspection completed. They completed my service with great attention to detail and in a timely manner. Both Kevin and Paola were very helpful and kind each time I spoke with them. I had questions about the Volvo Cars app, in which I was talked through how to pair my vehicle to the app as well as offering a free year-long subscription to the app. At my last service appointment, I was also gifted with 3 months free of Sirius-XM radio for my car. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. I found a car I liked online (ford focus, gently used) and came in to test drive it. The salesman Jack was friendly and low pressure. The car was spotless and ran great. New tires, clean oil, and no pressure when I decided not to trade in my old car. I bought the car and enjoyed driving it until some lady sneezed and t-boned it last weekend. Now I am shopping again and I am checking here since they were so great last time. Several months after I got the car, the prior owner dropped off the spare key and the dealership mailed it to me, which was unexpectedly great. Those computerized keys are expensive! read more

There is one bad person working in the service department that commando/stole my car when my son took it to get serviced and left my son without a car or house key to get in while I was at work and had to leave work to set the record straight that I have TWO Volvos I service there which had gotten confused with my bill. AFTER the other front desk guy who knows me gave me back my car and even though the insurance said they paid the claim, I repaid it still waiting for my money. Otherwise the service over the years has been great and reliable and everyone else there is friendly. read more

Worst customer service imaginable! Called and spoke to sales manager Jonathan. Arrived at the dealership and was made to wait ten minutes while Jonathan discussed his upcoming beach trip on the phone after being informed of my arrival. I explained to Jonathan this morning that we would be arriving with cash in hand and even lowered the price by $600. I drove an hour to get to this poorly run dealership where the showroom attendant was to busy to look up from her book to even greet us. Absolutely disgusted by the treatment received. Hands down worst experience at a dealership! I bought a 2010 used BMW from Performance Volvo in October of 2012. By February 2013, my brakes were grinding. I took it in to Performance for service and I was informed that the calipert pins were not properly lubricated which had worn through the brakes and rotors. This happened on a Monday. I was assured I would have my car by Tuesday with changed brakes and rotors. After many excuses and $450, I got my car back on Thursday, but I was instructed to take my car to BMW to have the service light reset. I made an appointment and took it in on Friday to BMW. They told me they could not reset the service light because the car was overdue for an oil change and needed a new air filter. I called Performance and they said they did not perform those services because they were not due, yet. I told BMW to do what they needed to do in order to be able to reset the light. While changing the oil, they discovered SLUDGE, which is most commonly caused by someone not changing the oil, and can lead to ENGINE FAILURE. BMW said the last record they had for an oil change was 41,000 miles ago and the car indicated that the oil was 17,000 miles OVERDUE for a change. They also informed me that there was no way that if Performance had checked the car they would have missed this. Their advice? GET RID OF THE CAR! I took the car to a third party mechanic for a second opinion. He put a probe in the car and gave me the exact same diagnosis: sludge leading to engine failure because the oil hadn't been changed regularly. AND that Performance should have caught it before they sold it. I had bought the car 4 months and 6000 miles prior to this from Performance and was being told repeatedly that engine failure was impending. Essentially Performance sold me a ticking time bomb. It was not a question of if, but when. So after all this, what was Performance's proposed solution? Take the time bomb back and return my money? NO. They cleaned the engine and wanted to sell me a new RAV4 and leave me almost $6,000 worse for the wear because they sold me a car with sludge in it. No thanks, Performance. I will NEVER buy a car from you again. Who knows what else they don't check. The only part of my experience was Ryan at Performance Toyota. I'm not really sure how he got involved, but he was great. He was responsive, helpful and understanding. If I ever was in the market for a brand new Toyota, I would definitely contact him. read more

The car came in a few weeks and everything was perfect. My main salesman was Wilmer Nunez who had all the answers and kept me in touch of the status of my order. He was professional, knowledgeable, and informative. I had a loan and check in hand, and wanted them to bring the price down, but they couldn't but they offered to try to get a lower rate to be able to keep the payment where I wanted it to be and they did get me a lower rate. The process was swift and transparent; we felt he valued our time and did not pressure us into a sale. I ultimately decided on purchasing a pre-owned Volvo and am extremely satisfied with it. Good afternoon, my name is William Daniel Smith. I bought a 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited from Performance Volvo cars. I test drove it and did the whole 100 yards. I drove it off the lot and not a mile down the road the check engine light came on. I called them a bunch of times left numerous voicemails and call back numbers my name and everything. I finally got in contact with someone and had to go through a bunch of steps again to get in contact with there second dealer ship Performance Toyota cars. When I finally got in contact with someone in the service at the Toyota dealer ship we scheduled a service date for Friday, February 5th, 2021 for 7:00am. I was there and they checked it out told me that it was miss firing cylinder 2. They didn't charge but told me that they would not fix it and that they did not have the tools, and knowledge of jeeps to do it. One, why sell jeeps if you don't know anything about them. Two, don't say you don't have the tools to do it either. So I am leaving a bad review (one star) because they totally are screwing me. Thank you and have a wonderful day. read more

I bought a 2007 Nissan Sentra for my daughters first car. I asked them to make sure they go over the car thoroughly and let me know what needs to be fixed so I can have it done right away and I would of course pay for what needed fixing. Turns out after a month, the exhaust system was welded so bad that the entire exhaust system had to be replaced, the wheel is bent, and all TPS monitors are shot. Just shy of $1,000 bucks. I stopped in one month ago as I was very interested in trading in my 2016 Audi Q5 on a new XC60 plug-in. Was told that there were none available by the salesman who introduced me to the manager. Was told that I would be contacted within the week as their allocation was being determined and that I could order one at that time. I am still waiting for that phone call but have since decided to look into other plug-in options as this dealership does not seem to be able to follow thru with potential customers. Apparently, this seems to be very common with this particular dealership so I have heard and I have to wonder what kind of service would be available when there is no concern for customers prior to a sale. read more

This is a BUYER BEWARE dealership and here is why. We came to an agreement on a 2008 Ford Taurus Limited with 47K miles on Saturday July 7, 2012. ($12,500 and two new tires for the rear.) This was not a great deal but it was not a bad deal either. It was a fair deal. The car passed Pennsylvania inspection. By Wednesday, financing was complete and we went to pick up the car. They had not put on the new tires on the rear when we picked it up and offered me $200. I had not done homework to see what two tires would cost and because we did not have time to wait around for them to put on the tires (they knew I was coming on that day at that time), I accepted the offer. They had gave me no reason at that time to think they would take advantage of me. I found out later that night the cheapest tires I could find were $165+tax. OK I learned my lesson on this part of the deal. Because we live in Maryland it must pass the Maryland safety inspection before we can get the license plates. The very next day we took the car to my mechanic that I use for all my vehicles (very trustworthy) and this PA inspected vehicle's rack (of the rack and pinion steering) had too much play plus the left rear hazard, turn signal, and stop light were burned out. Thus it failed inspection. Total cost to repair minus the inspection cost was about $800. (I had expected there to be about $200 but not this much.) These safety items had to be repaired in order to get the license and title in Maryland. When confronted the salesman who I worked with Greg Deland would not return any calls or emails on this topic. The sales manager, Dennis McNamera, basically delayed me for a week or so and finally pulled their PA inspection record. Since that report that their mechanics (I assume) performed had none of the problems indicated, he basically told me they would do nothing and I was on my own. They do not back the used cars that they sell. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I've been a customer of Volvo and Toyota performance for a few years ,recently. The two dealerships split into two different buildings,with the split came a change in personnel ,a guy by the name of Steve used to be in charge or maintenance ,that is no longer the case a much younger inexperienced individual initial"j" is your only go to guy,so recently I had to take my 98volvo in for inspection,with a check engine light in I knew it would be an emission prob ,and of course was told so,and I expected that,what I didn't expect was to be told upon picking it up that I would have to drive it around for aprox 50 miles to reset the engine,and then again each time I brought it back that it still didn't reset soon I have to drive it moe this led up to me needing to drive it for aprox400 miles,only after filling out there online survey and stating that I felt if I hadn't informed them about myself wanting to sell the car soon had something to do with all the problems,an hour later I magically get a call from ..yep Volvo performance reassuring me that there doing nothing to make this harder for me but if I bring my car back in ASAP they'll give me a loner and get my car up and running in no time!!! The next morning I brought it back signing insurance papers and such for the loner I have all my things on the counter keys brief case lunch bag ect..so I rush off to work,only to realize I am missing my iPhone ..ugh I know I had it when I left home so I called immediately to be told by"j"uh well I don't see it ill check the car..nothing so I checked on line to find it,we'll it had already been turned off! I race home just to double check,not there I drive to them to find my car sitting out side,I go in say to..j..I need to look in my car,..oh yeah no prob,as I turn to go outside I stop..and turn back and say is my car done..oh yeah ...huh so my question is who drove that car 400 miles in the last umm hour and a half, to be met with a vacant stare,I didn't have it in me to make the obvious accusation ,I can't say that after everything I went through that my iPhone was taken as well but it was never recovered and upon contacting the carrier to disconnect it was told it already had been earlier that day..never,never go to Volvo performance read more

I bought a used SUV from this buyer about a year ago when I decided I wanted a car that could hold a little more room and would be better equipped to handle Pennsylvania's weather. The price of the vehicle was in the range of Kelly Blue Book albeit a little on the high side, but not unreasonable. They also gave me a great trade in value for my own car (about the only perk to this whole ordeal). I read the vehicles carfax online and noticed that everything seemed to check out with no major incidences reported. However, I did my research on this vehicle and knew that there is a problem with the ECU on many 2001-2004 models. It was my only hesitancy on purchasing the vehicle. They offered me a powertrain warranty for 2 or 3 years and I asked specifically if it covered the ECU unit and he said yes (I'll take credit for this also because I looked over the warranty but did not have him point to where it was "listed" in it). The deal was set and I drove the vehicle home. Within 4 weeks all 4 spark plugs and an ignition coil went bad. I asked if warranty covered it just in case, they said "no" (understandable, I just had hoped). $450. Everything drove fine for a while, no major issues, then 8 weeks later guess what happened: the ECU went bad. Well, I was informed it was part of the powertrain so I took a copy of my warranty in....guess what....it's not covered. $1200 repair later (I was also a working college student at this time so money is tight). Had the part replaced and it drove fine for another few months (still shy of owning it 1 year). Next thing I know the check engine light comes on. Needs a new catalytic converter: est cost $700+. Had the part replaced and so far it may be running fine, however the engine stalled on me once in the last day so I cannot hold my breath it'll last. Moral of the story they sold me a lemon and I haven't officially owned it a year and it has costed me over $2000 on top of the money I already invested at purchasing. The only reason this warrants a one star is because they did give me more for my old car than I was expecting, but likely it was because they sold me a bad car. Also, as a college student I only drove the car locally so I cannot blame long distance or terrible road conditions on the problems it gave me. read more
