Nice location right off the Boardwalk. I came here with my husband and 2 kids. It's a child friendly place - first time I've ever been to a restaurant that has a built in play place. My daughter checked it out but she didn't have socks to play so she stayed at the table with us. For appetizers, we ordered the dumplings (so cute and delicious), the pancakes and the pizza. The pizza was mediocre. For our entrees I had the shrimp avocado salad and my husband got the gosht burger. Our entrees were really tasty. We also got a side of fries for our daughter which we didn't really have to order. It is a little pricey but look at their location! When we got the bill we were charged $10 for the play place. I asked for it to be removed because my daughter didn't really play there and didn't have socks so our waitress removed it. It's not a big playground area and how long can kids really ply there if they're there for the restaurant? They charge $10 on weekday and $15 on weekends. read more

I've visited this spot several times before finally writing a review, and it never disappoints. It's a well-known favorite among Central Asians, but you'll see a mix of cultures here, which says a lot about how good the food and atmosphere are. The bad: food lacks flavor and is very basic (I can cook at home in kitchen). Everything is beyond bland The ugly: prices are insane ($30 burger) and higher than many Manhattan spots, service nonexistent (between ordering and getting the check server nowhere to be found) Also for families w small kids - they do have a small playspace which is really cool to let you eat while kids play. I came here on a Saturday night recently for dinner. The place met my expectations. Overall, the food was tasty, service was friendly and attentive and the ambiance was pleasant. We ordered burger and fries and the lamb chops, roasted veggies and salad. It was all pretty tasty. The portions were pretty sizeable. The lamb chops were exquisite. Delicious food! Have been here twice now, the crispy eggplant salad was ordered both visits. Very nice meat, my great aunt loved her lamb chops, the Tom yum soup was excellent and the chicken rice bowl was perfect. The service is attentive. First and last visit here. This place gave me a headache and a half because they have a PLAYPEN for children. The children are loud and obnoxious, crying, screaming, etc. I can't believe this establishment ever thought to create this. Kids were running around barefoot (yuck). We asked to be moved into the patio, Ofcourse it was raining and cold so it wasn't that comfortable but it was quiet. Even the indoor chairs are built weird and uncomfy. Third time's NOT the charm. Visited this business three times, and my experiences differed drastically based on service. The first two visits were great. Our waiter Aleksey and his busboy Kamil were absolutely wonderful. Aleksey was one of the best staff members I ever encountered--considerate and genuinely friendly, assertive but not pushy, helpful and accommodating. Warm and approachable, Aleksey had the best attitude you can possibly ask for. The third time was awful. Alsu, our waitress, was clearly very new to the service industry, so our experience was horrendous. She didn't know anything about specials or the menu or the establishment in general. Our order was messed up. We were left without water or any kind of checking in the entire time. The restaurant was empty, save for our table of two, yet, we still got zero attention. The kitchen ran out of half the menu items, including basic condiments, which made no sense. I got up to ask for condiments from the kitchen, and magic, there were condiments! Probably, Gosht is understaffed during the week. Food was tasty, no complaints there. Premium price point for better quality meat, so be prepared to spend more than you would anticipate, especially in the south of Brooklyn. We tasted burgers every time, so can only say positive things about the juiciness and overall composition of offered burgers. The portions aren't too big, so you will be satiated, but not stuffed. Take advantage of a special that's currently running: Monday through Wednesday--buy one $28 Gosht burger, get another one free. Friday night through the weekend, the space fills to the brim, but the tables move quickly, so you'll be able to snag a seat if you don't have reservations. We washed it down with the delicious acidity of freshly squeezed half orange half grapefruit juice, which was pure delight. The Bali-Bay was a flavorful perfectly executed dish. The meat was cooked perfectly, not a second overcooked and not a second under. The bed of chickpea salad that the meat comes on was very flavorful. Seasoning on the meat itself is mild but the salad really carries the dish, with flavor notes like fresh parsley and dill and savory tomatoes that tie up this dish perfectly. This is definitely a dish I would order again in a heartbeat. Service was courteous and polite, but waiters are not assigned tables so multiple people will come to your table and be serving you. A 13 mile bike ride and 30 min ferry for what? For the best burger EVER...that's what! I saw this place had an insane halal menu and we planned a whole bike ride around it. We walked into a very modern and clean looking restaurant. The owner was so kind and helped us park our bikes in a safe spot. The service was amazing from start to finish. We got the gosht burger and Rob Roy to stay and a Rob Roy and NY Burger to go (which we haven't eaten yet). Both the burgers we had were excellent. They were definitely my favorite burgers ever, especially the Rob Roy. They give you gloves and wipes since it can get a bit messy and we enjoyed every bit of the mess. We also got the lemonades. We got raspberry and Mango passion fruit both of which were delicious. When the owner heard about our trek over he even gave us a cheesecake on the house. Playground is ok, expected it to be a lil bigger with more activity for kids. Not a main complaint Ordered Chilean or so chicken that supposed to be spicy and had a "pepper" icon next to it. Last week I made my way out to @gosht.nyc , an Uzbek steakhouse focused on showcasing authentic bbq dishes from the region through a Josper-styled grilling method. Gōsht is located in a busy cul de sac of Brighton Beach right next to the infamous board walk. What we got: *16oz Ribeye- MR *Bone Marrow *NY Burger(braised short rib) *Josper Chili Chicken *Mozzarella Sticks *Fried Calamari *Spaghetti Marinara *Caramel Latte & molten lava cake Right off the bat I'd like to say the food was phenomenal! We were most excited to try the bone marrow and it was full of flavor that I couldn't get enough of. Next up was the New York burger. The pull apart/fall off the bone braised ribs were so well cooked. You're able to enjoy the messy, saucy burger once you pull out the bone! The ribeye prepared medium rare was Smokey, slightly charred and cooked to perfection! Succulent and tender all around. The fat cap was full of flavor and juices that rendered down in the josper grill. We had the same feelings about the chili chicken- prepared similarly. The pasta was subpar and forgettable but the rest of the food items kept us engaged. Be sure to end your meal with their extensive dessert options. Since it was post-Iftar, I understandably opted for the large cup of latte and molten lava cake! As of late, I haven't had authentic halal bbq options until I tried @gosht.nyc . I was excited to try to place since it was a halal steakhouse and haven't seen much of these in Brooklyn. My cousin and I got the NY Strip, Dukka Meat, Bone Marrow, and Lamb Ribs. Great new halal spot in Brighton Beach! Firstly, they have an open layout and a full section for kids along with a kids menu so it's great for families! Their menu is very expansive so there's definitely something for everyone. They also have an open kitchen which is always nice to see. They cook their meat on a josper grill which increases the quality of the cook and it shows! They start you off with some delicious bread (we even took some home!). After this, we got the Spring Salad which had a kick but honestly could use a little more salt. The veggies in it were fresh. We also got the chicken wings - these were grilled to perfection! So good! The wings were so tender and the sauce was great. For mains we got lamb ribs, New York burger, and the dukka meat. All the meat was cooked well and very tender. The lamb ribs were my least favorite (though still pretty good) as I was expecting a glaze on the outside. The New York burger is essentially a short rib sandwich. This was delicious! It was a little hard to eat but man, as a Texan who hasn't had BBQ while in NYC, this was a dream come true! The bbq sauce was delicious as well! I asked for extra :) The dukka meat is sliced filet mignon with a cheese sauce topped with Egyptian spices (dukka). I honestly was very skeptical of this but it ended up being one of our favorite items and would be the reason I go back! The meat was so tender and flavorful! The cheese sauce paired well with the meat and wasn't overly salty. I think this is a great unique spot that's definitely worth checking out!
