I've only been here once and it was a quick visit, but I can see this becoming a go-to for me! I love supporting local small businesses, especially when they are as friendly and quick at the employees were here. They had a large menu with a lot of excellent options, and they made my order very quickly. The location is easy to find and convenient to get to and the prices were totally reasonable. Consider bringing some cash - if you are like me you rarely carry cash anymore, but being a small business they had a sign asking customers to consider using cash for small purchases. Also when I paid for my order with my card I wasn't given an option to add a tip (which I always do!) but bc I didn't have cash I wasn't able to. I loved how they redid the interior here! It's super cute and relaxed. It was also nice to see that they were making drinks and not much else. They didn't have pastries. This let the baristas really put TLC into your drink and I loved that about this place. They had a small case in the front with a couple of different kinds of cookies and muffins along with some semi-ripe bananas. The employees were very friendly and it was super clean. The cafe itself is not very big but they made great use of the space and have quite a bit of seating available. I tried the milk tea with bubbles (pearls/tapioca/boba) and it was good. The tea had a great flavor and was not overwhelmingly sweet and the pearls had a bit of a sweeter flavor to them so when you drank it while chewing the pearls, it was perfect! I will definitely be visiting here again when I come to Dallas. I hope they do well. I gave them four stars due to the temperature inside. It was a pretty warm day out and the AC wasn't running as high as I would have preferred. We ended up having to leave a bit earlier than we wanted to due to our party becoming a bit uncomfortable in the temperature they had the thermostat set on. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops. The atmosphere is calming and welcoming. It's a great place to study or work. The people that work here are very kind and it's easy to get to know them and start up conversation. I highly recommend their iced drip coffee. Its a bit of a wait due to the process of making it, but its worth it! If you are able to brew at home, I recommend going for it and buying a pound of their coffee grounds as well. Delicious! They also have lovely breakfast sandwiches that they make fresh when you order them. Early in the mornings around about 8-9AM, especially week days, it is very quiet. By the afternoon though, it gets much busier but there seems to always be seating regardless. Great little local shop!! read more

Few things I liked about it: - Their flat coffees are really interesting -- layered drinks with a layer of non-coffee (matcha/green tea, caramel, mocha, etc.), then a layer of espresso, and finished with a layer of milk foam. I had the green tea flat coffee, which was not only really cool-looking, but also tasted great!! Good matcha :) -Lots of chairs and tables, and not too crowded. I came on a Saturday afternoon, and there were plenty of tables open! -Clean -Staff was friendly. They told me the proper way to enjoy my drink (DO NOT STIR the flat coffees!) I made the drive out of my way to come to Peridot Coffee and it was well worth it. A modern aesthetic, plenty of tables and outlets, and good coffee are all what Peridot offers. The barista was super friendly and attentive. The decor is very modern/sleek, but at the same time comfortable and cozy. There are several small two person tables ideal for one person studying or two people catching up. They can also be pushed together for larger groups. To accommodate heavy studiers, there are also large tables with stools. They have a pretty wide selection of drinks. They have food, but that's one slight area that I would improve (the selection didn't seem that large). I got the handdripped iced coffee. It was a good bean. The only recommendation I have is that they put more ice in it, concentrate the coffee a bit more, and put the cream out where people can pour it on their own. On top of it all, this appears to be a locally owned shop, which I'm all about supporting. Especially because I feel that this area has so few coffee shops. I came here briefly to meet up with a friend. It has really cute decor and there's plenty of space to sit. It's extra nice because there isn't much distracting background noise. And then extra plus: they have boba! I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba, and it was pretty good. The tea had a strong but pleasant flavor and was not too sweet. Best coffee in the Dallas area so far! I had the "Peridot Coffee" hot and it was very smooth and not bitter. It also had a hint of sweetness, but wasn't overly sweet. At first, I thought this drink was just a regular black coffee, but it's actually a latte. The foam was perfect on the drink. I've also tried the iced caramel macchiato and it was also perfectly smooth and not too sweet. The baristas are pretty friendly and helpful with suggestions. The parking here is plentiful. The cafe has also plenty of seating and quite a few outlets for studying. Most days I've been here it's been pretty quiet, so if your looking for a more vivacious atmosphere, Peridot Coffee might not be the place to go. The prices here are fair and are lower than most of the coffeeshops I've tried in Dallas. Anyways, I highly recommend trying this place out! read more

The outside looks a bit dingy. It's in an old strip mall BUT .... don't let that deter you because the coffee is SPOT ON!! Great coffee! I am all about supporting local small businesses but I'm just not that impressed. Very friendly staff that appear to love their craft. Interior is typical of most Korean cafes - which means cute and cozy. The coffee itself is pricey. $4+ for a small mocha. I mean for people that complain that Starbucks is expensive... this place is not your friend. I did enjoy the flavor which tasted more like chocolate milk than espresso, but my taste buds are probably desensitized from drinking espresso all my life. Seating was limited, and the tables were quite small, but I went on a Saturday midday and no one was there so me and my friend had enough space. Love this place! Its quaint and charming. We stopped because we were running errands and spotted this place on Yelp. I have ordered a hazlenut latte and tea. The espresso was smooth and just interesting! Hazlenut flavor tasted like standard syrup but man I'm going back for the espresso. Its in a bit of a dated shopping center but there is plenty of parking. There are seats and tables like you'd expect but I dig the style. The service was nice and I would go back. In fact we're heading back to the same area tomorrow and I want to get another espresso. Drinks are standard prices. The worker there today, not so much. No hello when we get to the counter, no eye contact when we place our order, no thank you no nothing!!! If your to shy or even to "cool" to be working where there's customer service involved maybe you should get a different job. I already had my morning coffee when I went, so I got the small Thai tea w/ bubbles and it was pretty good! I am really glad that this area of Dallas has a coffee shop now, just to have it in my pocket as a meeting location. It's just close enough to 35 to be accessible if you're looking for a midpoint between a lot of places. I was there on a Tuesday at about 4pm and it was very quiet. The downside is that there was thus only 1 employee working so the service would have been rather slow if there were a few orders all at once. Ample space for meeting with a couple people, and the employee was very friendly. Warning: THEY DO NOT HAVE DECAF. If you don't do caffeine, or it's late, you'll want to find something else to order off the menu! read more

The only place I drink coffee in Dallas--it's that good! The focus here is on high quality, delicious coffee. It's a complex, delicious brew. Lattes are super creamy, and the Korean coffee is out of this world. Somehow the sweetness of the condensed milk brings out the spiciness of the coffee. Yum! we tried getting drip coffee and they gave us an americano without specifying that it was. the americano was very bland, little to no flavor. they charged us $4.60 for a cup of essentially just water. other than that it was very warm and welcoming environment . they were nice enough to add another shot of espresso to the americano for free. read more
