This cute coffee shop that has been around for a while, but I just got to check it out today. Few tables and chairs in the cafe. I did not take pics as people were there sitting and working. The guy working was nice. I got a decaf cappuccino and it was on the smaller side. To me the cappuccino was a bit bitter. I deff would check out other drinks from here one day.

THANKS on Yelp Thankful Thursday 11/17/22! Perk is like home to me. I want to Thank the baristas for making me feel at home. Thanks for having the delicious Ham and Cheese croissant at a reasonable price. Thanks to Steven for keeping the place clean as well as being the best barista! Thanks to the owners for making their own brand of Perk Coffee that is delicious. I'm so happy that no matter what the weather is like this coffee shop is right outside my apartment door!

They will have a 1 week break for renovations starting 5/13/24

This Is an easy Going And friendly And Quiet café w fast free WiFi. It's on 97th and 96th on 2nd avenue. They also have a bathroom, which is really nice to have in New York City. There's also charging stations and tables and chairs. It might be small, but it definitely works. You can enjoy doing your work while having coffee or tea and some bakery stuff. The male staff who worked on Sunday Mother's Day 5/12/24 was very nice and down to earth. People like him are hard to find in nyc. The drinks and bakery items are good. But it's the staff that makes the place ... hope the owner recognizes how precious this guy is. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but know that you are a Star in my eyes. They are renovating for 1 week so it's closed starting Monday 5/13/24.

Best honey almond latte I've had in the city! The perfect balance--not too sweet. The service was great, and I loved it so much that I ordered one iced honey latte on my way in and another on my way out. Definitely kept me caffeinated all day!

the service was really well and the barista was very nice! rhetorical environment was really calm, and the cappuccino was very foamy and nice:

Stopped by this quaint coffee shop on a rainy Thursday afternoon. There was a moderate amount of space and the menu was concise. Had the brown sugar cinnamon latte and was a big fan. Milk texture was solid, and it wasn't overly sweet. Barista was friendly and answered all of my questions about their machine. Solid experience overall.

Delicious grabngo cafe. Had a latte and coffee it was great! I care a lot about the temperature (hot latte must be hot, not warm!) and it was perfect! Seating is very limited but you can also stay.

This is the water for customers. Zoom in. Yikes! Molded rim. Filthy!

The cleanliness needs improvement. The water on the counter speaks for itself. It could be a great little place, nice location (right by Q train at 96 street), but more attention needs to be paid to keeping the place clean.

Good tasting latte, no skim due to possible expiration ? Definitely shouldn't be outside, all the gallons should be in the lowboy or ice bucket. Laidback atmosphere, cute and small shop. Great prices and near the hospital, saved the starbucks line so this was a good option. Cute plants inside the shop.

After a few days in the city together, my friend and I stopped in for breakfast before parting ways. The vibe was cozy, relaxed, and welcoming, exactly what you want from a local coffee shop. The giant windows lend a ton of natural light, especially for place that almost needs to wait until midday for some sunshine. The bagels absolutely hit the spot: fresh, satisfying, and exactly what we needed. Nothing overly complicated, just solid, well-executed breakfast. They have pastries and sandwiches, as well, but your girl needed a real New York bagel before this trip was through. What really stood out for me, though, was the hot cider on special. It was warm, spiced just right, and comforting for a November morning. I could easily see this shop as a regular go-to of mine if I lived in the neighborhood.

And listen... I am a chai queen, so when someone tells me a chai is worth trying, I'm going. She kept telling me, "You're going to love this chai." She orders hers with oat milk and extra cinnamon on top, so that's exactly what I got -- and when I tell you this was one of the best chai lattes I have ever had in my entire chai-drinking life? Silky. Smooth. Perfectly spiced. Just the right amount of warmth. Just... everything. Truly a great chai. The shop itself has such a good vibe. It's not huge, but the space is cozy in the best way. If you don't mind communal seating, it's perfect for settling in with your laptop or a book. They have outlets, the ambiance is chill, and it's one of those spots where you can really get work done while still feeling comfy. I haven't tried their pastries yet, but the atmosphere and that chai alone keep me coming back. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and that's something I really appreciate -- it makes the whole experience feel even better. Built Coffee has definitely become one of our go-to spots for getting out of the house, doing work, or just sipping on something warm and delicious. And again... get the chai. TRUST ME.

I ended up starving and looking for a place in the neighborhood for a breakfast sandwich. Rimar looked good from the outside, there were a bunch of banners announcing them as a "brand new" business having a "grand opening". Once inside, I realized that was probably not true. Looking around, I didn't see any coffee nor was there any kind of posted menu indicating the possibility of breakfast sandwiches. The man behind the counter was friendly enough though, and took my order for 2 bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on a roll. He also indicated that he DID have coffee. Great! While I was waiting in the store for 15 minutes for my order. I noticed a woman (maybe another owner) casing the place down and staring at everyone who entered. I noticed that the rest of the store sold only a bleak selection of junk food. There was nothing interesting on the shelves! I noticed a man and woman come in, have an entirely transactional conversation and then leave, buying nothing. I noticed two separate hipsters walk in, look around and then walk out. I waited and waited. Finally, my order was ready. Without any register or paper calculations, the man told me my order was $10 exactly. Not feeling too good about that. The coffee was super hot and actually ok, I think he brewed a fresh pot on my request (thank you for that). The breakfast sandwiches were pretty awful. Greasy eggs, strangely chopped and super greasy bacon, you get the picture. I think Rimar could really do much better.
