    Garden salad

I haven't been to a Perkins in years, but I was hungry and this one is located by Grandpa's Cheese barn, so I thought it was a decent stop on my way to Youngstown. It was relatively busy on a Friday afternoon, but the service was quick. THey have a really extensive menu, but it was hard to find a vegetarian, or even bacon free option. I had wanted breakfast, but they didn't offer anything that I could find that din't include bacon or pork sausage. For lunch, even the chicken sandwiches had bacon. I went with fish and chips and was plesantly surprised, particularly because it was about $12. The portion was really generous and both the fish and the chips were hot and crispy. The salad was mediocre - kind of meh iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, stale-ish croutons. Maybe not the greatest option, but I had a decent meal at a good price. They have 2 gender-neutral/family bathrooms that were clean enough.

Great service, fair prices, tasty food. Clean environment well worth the stop. The staff was shorthanded and still were efficient.

Sam was our server. This is the first Restraunt where the picture of he cheeseburger looks like what was served. Amazing.

Last meal at Perkins in Ashland. The back dining area was gross...looks as though it is going to be painted, but should not be used until it is DONE. service extremely slow! Waitress not at all friendly or welcoming. Restrooms DIRTY. Guys at the register were getting a lot of complaints but were very pleasant.

My host was Dylan. He seated us. The food was edible. The atmosphere was like that of an Ashland Perkins. Would come back.

I feel like there is something for everyone here! My husband thought the Dutch apple pie was out of this world. I thought it was different because it was chopped oats. We were not a huge fan of the chocolate chip cookies, the texture kinda got me, and the chocolate chips were an interesting flavor. My mom thought the pecan tarts were so yummy. I could literally taste how fresh and homemade that dough was, I thought it was very good as well, but probably would try something else instead next time. The cinnamon roll was interesting because I thought it was a lot more Joey than we used to and it had an icing on top. I actually really liked it. I am not someone that likes the super glazed sweet stuff so this was the right amount for me. My husband and I were not huge fans of the Fry pies. They were glazed, which is a personal preference. But the filling was just too much for me, I like more writing than filling, especially in the middle. It was a little overwhelming. I also felt like they were filled with more of the canned stuff rather than fresh bc of the consistency. The fresh sourdough bread was out of this world. I'd definitely recommend getting a bread loaf!!!

They have an abundance of parking and every kind of cheese you can imagine. I appreciate that they had staff cutting and handing you samples instead of samples sitting out. We walked out of the cheese barn with a bag full of goodies and stroll across the courtyard to the candy shop. I was told Sweeties was a new addition. They had so many options it was overwhelming. The two stores could multiple charcuterie boards. We ended up with a bag full of sweets also. The courtyard was very cute and welcoming. As we were leaving an Amish man arrived in his horse drawn carriage to sell homemade baskets. It was nice to see a larger business supporting a small business. I would not hesitate to stop on my next trip.

The renovations are phenomenal, and we loved the indoor/outdoor dining and play area. Our active 2-year-old didn't want to leave the mini play barn, which gave the adults time to enjoy the delicious food and treats.
