We stayed at the Best Western in Butte with the Perkins restaurant attached. I had 3 in my party that were disabled so I offered to do an online order and pick up the food. We ordered at approximately 7:25 ish and it said it should be ready by 7:56. My dad insisted on walking with me over there, to pick up all the food. We had to wait a few minutes. At about 8:05 the main batch of food came out and I let him take it back to the room. By 8:20, I was still there waiting on pie and milkshakes. Dad walked back to the restaurant to find out why I wasn't eating with them yet, and my food is getting cold. I asked the guy at the front to check again, and he went in the back. Meanwhile Dad asked a waitress about the order, and said "it shouldn't take this long to make 2 milkshakes and some pie slices" and she said, yes it does. The manager dropped off the food and when I asked her what her name was, she walked away. She explained they got a new system so didn't see the desserts and shakes til 8:00pm, but that still took 20 minutes to make 2 milkshakes and we weren't really communicated on status. I feel like we could have gone back to the hotel room and eaten and come back for the dessert if it was mentioned. Meanwhile, everyone is frustrated and my dinner is cold. I also think to give better service, they could have offered to bring it to hte hotel room or text me when ready? Or at least given a time to expect it. I think most of us think shakes take 5 minutes max, so maybe set reasonable expectations with us so we aren't waiting so long. read more

We always come here when we travel, but Sunday morning 10am we had terrible service. We watched 5 other families come in, seated and ordered their food way before us. We sat for 9 minutes before we were even approached for drinks and order. When we got our food it was disappointing to say the least. We thought Wendy's is where we'll go next time. read more

I have to go along with with other reviewers here.... this place is pretty bad. It's part of the Best Western where I am staying. The hotel is great. The restaurant not so much. Had the meatloaf. I don't know how you can screw up meatloaf since what I was given wasn't even meatloaf.... it was a hamburg patty. But it was heartburn bad. On the up-side it was $8 so a somewhat cheap meal. It's also a bakery and perhaps the baked goods are great. Don't know. Don't care. As an aside, and I didn't take points off for this, the teenager who "greeted" me insisted that I have to wear a face muzzle for the ten feet walk from where I was to my table. No exemptions for disabled combat veterans of which I am one. This child was too young to argue what Federal ADA legislation is all about and she clearly had no understanding that Military Vets are why she is able to live in a semi-free country today. So she hands me a face diaper.... I hold it lightly over my mouth for ten seconds until she turns around and heads to my table and in my pocket it goes. I realize this insanity isn't her idea. She's just some drone doing what she was told to do. Hence, no additional stars off for the mask police thing. read more

Honestly, nothing to complain about here. I mean, the food isn't the greatest thing you'll ever eat, but this place is definitely a step up from the Shari's and Denny's of the world. We ended up eating here twice, and we had the Big Country, some breakfast combo, the everything omelet, and a build your own breakfast combo. Again, everything was good. I couldn't really complain about any of the dishes. Plus the service was friendly, and we got 15% off for being hotel guests. So if you're expecting to have world class dining, stay away. But if you're a fan of diners like Denny's, this is definitely better than that. read more

The food is always dependable here and it's a nice place to go on the weekends. However, in my most recent visit I was shocked by the service from our waitress. From the moment she came to our table, it was as if our existence was an inconvenience to her. She was so curt and unwelcoming that we spent the time after she left our table trying to figure out what we possibly could have done to upset her. We were given the bill immediately with the food and she never checked up on us once to ask about refills/boxes/anything. The maple syrup container she unceremoniously dumped on the table was covered in syrup and left the table sticky whenever we used it. I was nervous to ask her for honey for tea because of the way she would glare when we talked to her. She didn't appear to be as overtly rude with certain other tables, so I'm not sure what we should have done differently to be treated like human beings. Perkins is a place I've always thought of as a cute, relaxing spot with friendly employees. But this waitress really soured my image of the place, especially because I was there with my grandma who was already reluctant to leave the house. I don't expect any kind of special service when I eat out, but basic respect isn't something unrealistic to hope for. Restaurant closes at 10pm. We arrived at 9:30 and were turned away. Hostess said they stop seating at 8:30 and we could have take out order. When we questioned the sense of her 8:30 assertion , she changed that to 9:30 pm. It was exactly 9:28 on my watch and we said the we just made it. She then said 9:15 and said we could order to go. Her rationale for refusing to seat us was that the cooks needed time to shut down the kitchen. Again what sense does that make when she stated they served takeout until 10pm. We declined to order take out and stated how disappointed we were in this Perkins restaurant. We travel frequently for work and leisure. Never encountered such a hostess. As we were leaving she kept talking at us and sent us to Buffalo Wild Wings if we didn't like Perkins policy. She had red hair streaks if anyone wants to have a chat with her. I am on a road trip and stayed across the street, so being exhausted I walked over for some comfort food. This is what I received .... I ordered the steak with two sides and I ordered a side salad. First came the salad. Yes, just a regular side salad but it was served pile high on a square plate (I think to make it look big) however, all it did was make a huge mess, and with about 22 croutons (I counted) ... it ended up all over the table. The steak ordered med rare was good, as was the mashed potatoes. I was shocked that someone would send burnt, limp asparagus out of the kitchen. I mentioned to my server and she took 20% off the bill. Well ... they charged me the full price on the add on price of the salad, so the 20% was a wash. 9/7/22 7:20 a.m.- start off with the service is good. Food is crap. Ordered a steak and eggs breakfast, steak medium rare, eggs over easy, hash browns, and wheat toast. Eggs came out soupy and slimy and not just the yoke. Sent it back came back approx 1-2 minutes later hard(clearly microwaved them and turned them to rubber). Next cut into the steak and center is cold and raw, take a bite and it was like drinking a cup of saltwater brine. Next on the hash browns, cold and not cooked really at all. Definitely was put on the grill as a mass, flipped as a mass and served as a mass. And finally the easiest thing of all toast, toast came out burnt not charred but with the rest of the food being as terrible as it was could have at least made the golden. read more

After waiting 45 mins our food FINALLY arrived... How do you undercook a baked potato?! Especially when you make the customer wait 45 mins for it?! No big deal, they made up for the undercooked potato by taking the steak medallions (ordered medium) and turning them into dark gray tasteless shoe leather. We've come here several times in the past, most of which have been what I would say 4-5 star experiences. However the general quality seems to have deteriorated as time has gone on. The table dessert menu was coated in some crusty substance, service a tad slow (but not unbearable), and my dish (Strawberry Croissant French Toast Platter) was carelessly put together and vaguely resembled its picture on the menu. All this being said, the food is good and filling. The atmosphere is pleasant and generally quiet, and the service kind and helpful. When the dessert we ordered was misunderstood the waitress quickly corrected it without hesitation. The bakery is outstanding and something to save room for. Overall I would recommend, but I cant give 4 stars for cleanliness and plating. read more

Salad came with all the other orders and so far so good but the iced tea was MIA. So naturally when she stopped by to see if everything was alright I had a bite in my mouth and was not able to answer right away but stopped her as she was walking away to ask if I might get the iced tea. Tip towards getting a good tip, don't roll your eyes when a customer is asking for something that you were supposed to have already brought. Main sandwich came and it was in a word disgusting. Tasteless chicken with a drizzle, as in less than what you would find in a ketchup packet, or BBQ sauce. If I could give less stars I would. The host was a incompetent jerk, my food came out black burnt and I had to send it back. The server had all our plates on a tray and tray jack and didn't seem to understand gravity so my dads meal hit the floor. He had the option to wait for 10 minutes for it to be remade but hearing the 4 of us talk about how over or under cooked our food was he ordered Taco Bell on the way home. The restaurant was clean and the people friendly but the menu has an error, the shrimp with angel hair is not angel but regular spaghetti. Needless to say I was disappointed. To start, we asked for seating in a booth away from the windows (it was chilly outside)..we could see open booths along the inside perimeter that were open and clean...we were offered either a table (out in the middle of traffic areas) or by the windows...grrr...fine, we were seated along the windows...left our coats on during the meal. We were served our coffee from the start...ok...fine so far! Enter a few more patrons...guess what? The booth we could NOT sit at is now seated with OBVIOUS friends of the server as they received hugs and chit chat from!! Mind you, there was NO RESERVED SIGN on it but rather they were obviously instructed to "SAVE" the table for these "friends" ...We ordered our meals...I ordered a salad MINUS tomatoes as I hate tomatoes in any form. My husband ordered a cheeseburger with fries...we finally were served our meals by the table busser...sans silverware...we receive our silverware...my salad is LOADED with tomatoes!!! My husband's fries are COLD and his burger is quite charcoaled and dry...FINE....open the silverware...the knives are FILTHY beyond words...does anyone stop by to check on our meals and whatnot??? NOPE...not until the very end of the meal when I mentioned I ordered NO tomatoes and informed our server it is a good thing I am NOT allergic! She says, oh, do you want me to have them make it over??? REALLY? Do YOU want to eat a meal by yourself????? When we pointed out the fact that the silverware is NOT clean...her response?
