I am in town for work and after a long day of work, I wanted to relax in the hotel room. I've had Perkins before in other states and was looking forward to snagging it again. I ordered it on Uber Eats, which can struggle in freshness and this was rather fresh upon delivery. I got the breakfast burger which can be hit or miss, but this was delicious. A well balanced of bacon, hashbrown, and fried egg to mix with a thick patty and good cheese. The was very good. The egg was runny which is important on a breakfast burger. Overall, this is one of the better breakfast burgers I've had. The fries are fries, but even being mildly cold, they were still good. that was a bit of a shock, because cole fries can suck. The Pie, come on, you can't get perkins without the pie. Peanut Butter Silk, 10/10. Overall, great experience even getting it ubered. read more

Well . It's not usually a issue but had gone in to relax after a serious doctor appointment was asked what I wanted and it arrived unfortunately I felt like I was being given the bums rush only being one person as was not offered to refill coffee pot raven when it was on the edge of table to be refilled which is normal done when with my brother each weekend. The waitress was more concerned on me eating and getting me out the door to make room for more people at same table for a bigger tip . Was not impressed with her at all wearing a nose ring taking my order .very rude attitude and looked very unsanitary. Not an ideal time at all. Basically would have enjoyed McDonald's better. read more

Decent. I've always loved Perkins but over the years, the locations I hit around the Midwest seem a bit run down. Deferred exterior maintenance, stained carpets and such. That said, the service and the food has always been real good. Today was no exception. Our server, Chris V was super nice and attentive. The coffee, muffin and food was all hot and tasty. The Men's room floor was pretty sticky. In the post-Covid era, this has almost become the norm. As so many places seem short staffed, bathroom cleaning seems less of a priority. Not for everyplace but for many. We enjoyed our meals none-the-less. read more

The food here is always pretty good. The staff and sevice is always "very good", helpful, prompt, and contientious. However, the menu prices are terrably high priced as they have now gone up about the third time in 3 months! $3.20 for just a cup of coffee. Everything was increased by at least 30% since the first of the year! On top of that, the city of Duluth charges 11.12% sales tax, and now Perkins adds another 3% to your bill for using a credit card instead of paying with cash. My wife and I had breakfast (she selected somethiong ($8.99) from the senior menu) and I had Granny's Country Omelette ($16.29) with two cups of $3.20 per cup coffee, and the bill was $31.86, plus sales tax of $3.55, plus a non cash adj. for $1.06, for a total of $36.47 ! The sevice is always very good at this location. But, we can't afford to eat here any longer as with tip , a $43.47 breakfast , for two, is just not in our budget any more! Across the river in Superior, Wi., the city sales tax is only 5.5%! There is a very good family restaurant in Superior, on Bellnap Street, with great food and very good service, and it's not an overpriced Perkins! After spending a 50 year carrier in retail food sales, I personaly know how high restaurant mark-up's or gross profit percentages are! Perkins is very overpriced now! read more

A fun, family friendly stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The staff is friendly and is helpful with menu tips and in quick service! We brought my sister's two small children along with us and the staff was great with the kids, too! The food was hot and delicious. I also enjoy the many drink options available through the fountain beverage machine! This Perkins has been a staple in West Duluth for years and shows some of its years of love, but still remains a solid option for some good eats and delicious pie! read more

The parking lot is currently in horrible shape. Not sure if they plow it or not, but it feels like driving through a boulder field with potholes. We ordered a few minutes after arriving and waited over an hour for our food to come to the table. The wait to eat was quite a bit longer than we expected, which was very surprising considering there were several people working and not very many people dining in the restaurant. We were all very hungry and looking forward to enjoying some tasty and filling breakfast food. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it didn't look nearly as appetizing as it did in the photos on the menu. I might have to say that the presentation was about as far from the menu photos as I have ever seen at a restaurant. I will post some photos. I wish I had set something next to the omelet to show the scale... but it was the tiniest omelet I have ever seen at a Perkins. read more

I was just here on Sat.,3/14/2015, and the food as well as the service was excellent. Was seated within (2) minutes, drinks arrived within (5) minutes Of being seated. We ordered our meals about (10) minutes later, due to our taking so long to decide. Food arrived within another (15) minutes, in and out within about (1-1/4) hr. complete. No bad. Mr. Eric H. Stopped for breakfast when staying in Duluth. Generous portions. Plenty of friendly waitstaff. One weird thing was that the waitress quickly only gave us two choices of sides when ordering, but the menu had more choices. This happened for two people in our party. Not sure if they are trying to rush guests. Everything tasted good and people were happy in their menu selections. read more

My daughter and I ate at this restaurant Sat 4/06/19. I have been coming here off and on for years. Never again! I picked up my water glass and there were 2 flies (fruit flies)? in it. Our server was no where to be found so I talked to a server at the register behind our booth. (small woman with long dark hair). Her response floored me! She said "its the nature of the beast. The trucks deliver bananas almost every day. We spray every night but this is what you get". Zero apologies or concern. This is the expectation!!!??? I waited for an extended period of time to pay my bill. Again the server is no where to be found so I asked another gal at the register behind me (Keylee) I believe. She was very helpful-Thank you! I had intended to purchase baked goods for company staying at my house but not with the fly issue and lack of service. When leaving I asked my daughter to pause in the lobby while I put on my jacket. She points overhead and says look at that......flies (NOT fruit flies) were swarming!! They looked like flies from ants?? Not sure but there were tons of them. I want to support West Duluth businesses but this issue needs attention!! I believe you have a bigger problem than a nightly spray can fix. read more

I seriously eat at THIS location about every two to three weeks for the last couple if years and despite it being further from my home than the East location because it is SO much better. The food is excellent and perfect nearly every single visit. Service is great, as is management (near as I can tell as a customer). Prices are fair. Fast service considering it's a sit-down restaurant/diner. Quick refills on beverages. Family friendly. Sometimes the lobby will be a little bustling with waiting guests (especially Sunday mornings) but the turnover of diners is fast, so worth the wait. read more
