A fun, family friendly stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The staff is friendly and is helpful with menu tips and in quick service! We brought my sister's two small children along with us and the staff was great with the kids, too! The food was hot and delicious. I also enjoy the many drink options available through the fountain beverage machine! This Perkins has been a staple in West Duluth for years and shows some of its years of love, but still remains a solid option for some good eats and delicious pie!

Omelet menu photo vs. actual presentation of omelet. The actual omelet was the smallest I have ever seen at a Perkins.

The parking lot is currently in horrible shape. Not sure if they plow it or not, but it feels like driving through a boulder field with potholes. We ordered a few minutes after arriving and waited over an hour for our food to come to the table. The wait to eat was quite a bit longer than we expected, which was very surprising considering there were several people working and not very many people dining in the restaurant. We were all very hungry and looking forward to enjoying some tasty and filling breakfast food. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it didn't look nearly as appetizing as it did in the photos on the menu. I might have to say that the presentation was about as far from the menu photos as I have ever seen at a restaurant. I will post some photos. I wish I had set something next to the omelet to show the scale... but it was the tiniest omelet I have ever seen at a Perkins.

This Perkins is much gooder than the one we, RADDA RADDA, had yesterday in Eau Claire. It ain't no Duluth Grill, but MAN oh MAN is Brenda (been here 20 years!) a riot. Such a fun server. Makin' ya feel right at home. Surf's up!

Ordered the raging Cajun and it was a disappointment.. Barely has any sauce and tasted very plain.

Ordered a ragin Cajun and when I went to pick it up it looks really plain. There was rarely any sauce on it. It also tasted plain. I've made quick homemade pasta with little experience that tasted better than this. It was pretty disappointing.

Will make you go to the Doordash pickup area to get your order even if you are right in front of them. A little rude, tbh.

Fresh, locally sourced and delicious menu options, fast and hospitable service!…read more We were worried that the wait time would be long but it was just long enough to enjoy the outdoor garden boxes and sun. Even though we are visiting Duluth during this crazy time of the wild fires, Duluth Grill made our trip worth it! They have a streamlined process for getting seated, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and local area. My family ordered the usual staples: biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, and bacon/eggs/sausage. All were hearty portions and perfectly prepped. I tried the "Triple B" which turns out to be a Midwest version of Bibimbop. Made with manoomin (wild rice), beef/pork mix, kimchi, marinated kale- probably my fave of the dish. The combo is a deliciously perfect power meal to start any day and weekend right! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the care they take in procuring local ingredients- even their kale and some herbs are from their own lil garden. I highly recommend the Duluth Grill, there's something for everyone! We will definitely stop by on our next trip out to Duluth.

We had checked reviews and saw there were some reviews indicating this restaurant was not as good as it used to be. We decided to see for ourselves as the menu, other positive reviews sounded like it was an incredibly good place to go. It is. It was. It was busy, being a Sunday morning especially, but the staff was handling it all well from our perspective . I used to manage restaurants a long time ago and was impressed with the flow. Our waitress, Natalie, was delightful, knew the menu well to describe and answer questions, and we were not wanting for anything. She checked on us, always grinning and managing the iace well. I had the banana bread pancakes. A perfect choice ! They came and looked like a picture stacked up and flowing down with Carmel, maple bourbon syrup, marzcapone cream and nuts. So delicious. I took half home and enjoyed the rest later. Heated up perfectly with a 20 second zap in micro. My son had the corn beef hash skillet and said his was just as good as mine. We both agreed that we had no idea why reviews were negative, especially going on a busy morning. We will be going back every time we visit. I recommend you do too.

We went to the Lake Ave. location in Canal Park since it was walking distance. Walking into the establishment you are greeted with the aromas breakfasts being made and a hostess who was friendly. We opted to eat outside under the covered patio to enjoy the day. The menu has plenty of options to suit one's fancy - pancakes, waffles, pecan/cinnamon rolls for those with a sweet-tooth, and of course any number of savory plates for the rest of us. Making an eating decision can prove difficult. the Huevos Rancheros looked appealing as did the breakfast sandwich, and the brisket eggs Benedict. I opted for what was behind door number four and picked the country fried steak and eggs. Much to my delight, instead of the usually Sysco food distributor breaded chopped steak topped with a gravy from an institutional food can - They actually used a rib-eye for the steak, and homemade gravy. I also had the option of toast or a pancake. I always love me some decent rye toast, but today was a day to mix it up, and the pancake was nice, and not too big. I also liked that there was an option for blueberry syrup, or Maple syrup. The other item ordered was the Greek Omelet, my wife truly enjoyed it, and they also cooked her hash-browns to order which she appreciated (she likes them really, really crispy). I this will definitely be a must have place to eat every time we are in Duluth. I highly recommend this place.

I think the boozy brunch crowd comes in late morning. We were seated quickly and ordered breakfast. We got the usual pancakes, French toast, etc. Everything was good. Best ever? No, but pretty solid and the portions were generous. The kids ate it, which is most important. The service was good, too. It was a bit hectic for the staff because they sat like 8 parties of 4 all at once - all with kids, so it was a lot for them to manage, but they pulled through and we were well taken care of. I heard it gets packed by mid-late morning, so if you can, get there early!

The view of the lake as you enter the main dining room is spectacular. If you are fortunate enough to visit on a good-weather day during the summer, the patio experience cannot be beat. Every time I have visited, the staff have been genuinely gracious and caring. Add a unique and generous drink menu on top of a delicious selection of meal options what more could you ask for? Many of the menu items are gluten-free or gluten-free on request. As with most of their menus, brunch options are unique and worth the visit. Lake Superior Hash is a unique and tasty recommendation. I cannot say much about most of the dinner menu, because I ALWAYS order the ribeye, though I have added the scallops on occasion. The quality and preparation of the ribeye are well above most restaurant standards. Don't miss it! I also enjoy just stopping in for a drink. I have struck up conversations at the bar with perfect strangers, while enjoying one of the signature cocktails (don't miss the Minnesota Old Fashioned). Be sure to make a reservation. This is the one mistake you can make at the Boat Club. With a restaurant of this quality, you cannot assume there will be an open table for a walk-up.

A year ago, I was at Boat Club--a pleasant place with impeccable service. Now, 6/17, the staff is new and inexperienced, and the manager gives vague answers and doesn't solve the problem. It was impossible to have a good time when the temperature in the main room was at least 67 degrees. It seemed like they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. The adjoining room where the bar is located was at least 72 degrees. The Mall was at least 70 degrees. The manager, who seemed completely out of touch--as if he didn't even know what was going on--didn't solve the problem. On the contrary, he dramatically announced that he was going to raise the temperature. Instead, it got even colder. Very unpleasant. Another employee told me that the temperature is controlled from the hotel. Who's telling the truth? I don't like being taken for a fool. It's a shame--I was looking forward to spending an evening with my family and having a pleasant dinner. It didn't turn out that way. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
