Ever since the Perkins in the center of Cocoa Beach - Atlantic Ave. closed down we take the extra 25minutes to drive out to this one because Perkins breakfasts are that good. It is NOTHING like Denny's which I totally skeeve. This location especially is spotless clean, food is good, service is friendly and quick. The service always sucks. Honestly, we only go back because my son likes the cinnamon rolls and for the most part the food is pretty good. Perkins has become our restaurant of choice for breakfasts and occasionally for dinner while travelling. For many years, we chose Denny's for breakfast, but they raised their prices so Perkins is now competitive and Perkins has better breakfasts. read more

Manager returned my bill and credit card to the wrong table. I was not aware this had happened. 5 minutes +/- passed and the table let the server know that they had been given the wrong card!! All the info on the card was compromised. Account number, name CCV Code on back. I now have to wait for a replacement card thanks to the ineptness of Perkins. Never go again. read more

Poor, poor service..,, after being sat down and drink orders taken, we ordered our food. I noticed there were many people around us waiting a long time to get their food after about 20 to 30 minutes I asked who I thought was the manager if they could check on our food and he came back out to say our order had only been placed three minutes ago by our server. Needless to say....,, got up to leave, I left 10 bucks for drinks at the cashier. Doesn't seem like the place is managed well especially around 530 or six when dinner is pretty busy. My mom loves Perkins! So, I have visited frequently with her. The food is good nothing spectacular, but I will say the pies are delicious. The lemon meringue pie and the custard pie are delicious. The pie slices are large and can be split. Service is very slow but courteous and friendly. This seems to be a place that seniors love to eat at. Lots of homestyle food. read more

Twice now this restaurant didn't have the ingredients to make a menu entree and so they just brought out what they had. My wife ordered an entree that consisted of two small pieces of fish, four jumbo shrimp, and fries. It took nearly 40 minutes for them to prepare what they served - two pieces of fish and the fries, along with my own meal. My wife said "this isn't right" and the waitress said, "yeah, we're out of shrimp - they said they can make you another piece of fish if you like". My wife ordered this meal for the shrimp. She gives me the fish. So that was meaningless. "Well we can make you something else then." By this time, our meal was ruined so we got up and left. Why could they not just tell here they didn't have the shrimp and let her reorder from the start? This happened once before a couple of months ago when they didn't have the avocado to put on my avocado salad. What goofballs. read more

We watched how she treated everyone she came in contact with and can't say enough good things about her. I generally go there on Sundays. Some people may not be aware that you can call ahead for reservations. That can save a lot of time because the restaurant is popular with locals. The food is great but the service can slow down when it gets busy. That's to be expected and you just need to decide whether you want to stay there that long. Go home with a pie. I ditched into this Perkins Restaurant to escape a bad rainstorm. I was on foot. I asked for apple pie. It was served cold. You have too ask for it to be heated up. I asked for mint tea. They gave me piping hot black tea and green tea bags. The hot water was served in a styrofoam cup so hot I thought it might melt the cup itself. Who knows what sorts of cancer causing chemicals leached from the cup into the water. I didn't drink it. Definitely avoid Perkins in the future. - Stan S. read more

We love their potato pancakes, but after three visits with dirty tables and poor service, we will not be back.

Last week we had reserved a group dining room for a surprise birthday party of 30-35 people, the guests were to arrive at 4:45pm. The manager only brought on one server to handle the entire party. The result was a was one young lady to try and take orders, deliver drinks, bring the food. All this led to some guests recieving their food 40min. before the some others and to top it off she was the only one who could check us out at the cash register. If a restaurant is going to offer and accept like same dining parties the management should make sure staff is on hand to make the experience a pleasant one. We made the best of a poorly managed affair. With all thing being equal would we make the same plans again, definitely not. read more

The chicken pot pie is excellent. The turkey dinner hit the spot with mashed potato/gravy, cornbread stuffing and a side salad. Monday means a free slice of pie, so it added up to a great meal at a reasonable price. read more

Its Perkins, still good food, good quality. Service on the other hand very slow, seemed to be only two waitress' working on the evening we went. Went here for breakfast they were not very busy, I ordered the country fried steak biscuits with eggs and added hash browns and coffee. The waitress brings a vacuum bottle with coffee and I almost got one cup from it (why bother) so I sit for 20 min and finally my breakfast is brought out. I look at it and see it is country fried chicken. I call the waitress back and let her know it is wrong. She says will fix it and takes food away. She calls the hostess over and proceed to tell me they do not have the steak on the menu. I tell then you brought me 2 menus it was on the other. They are still arguing that its not on the menu. I say get me the other friggin menu, I know what I ordered. I show them where it was. Sorry they say we will get that right out to you. The waitress now fills the vacuum bottle with coffee and says it will be right out. 30 min pass and finally my food arrives with No hash browns, She says she will get them right away. Then I notice no cheese on the steak biscuits as it was described in the menu and the eggs were cold. The waitress comes back it will be a few min on the hash browns. That's when I say I am over this, paid for my coffee which she said don't worry about but I pay for what I get, and then I left. Will not be going back. read more
