**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morehave to thank my friend Paula for letting me know about this coffee shop. For me, it is an experience seeing the place, in general, being so clean. For those who don't know, this location used to be a retail store for aquaponics so there was water and dirt all over the place... which is the norm aquaponics is a very cool and efficient way of gardening. Anyways, the location is now a new coffee shop, and since I am a huge supporter of the Cafe Passport, I am always looking for new coffee shops to heckle them to add to subsequent editions. Though an address is given as well as my description of what this location used to be, to further know better where Sunshine Espresso is, it is in the Minton Center, a strip mall on New Haven Blvd (US-192) that is just east of the intersection with Minton Rd. If it helps, Get Your Fun On and Umami is just a little ways northwest of this coffee shop. The first thing I noticed was the "drive-thru." I didn't utilize it, but it is cool they have a drive-thru option for those who want their coffee and food on-the-fly instead of stepping down. I, however, opted to step inside to soak in the ambiance. The place is minimalistic with a surf/beach vibe. Just like many restaurants these days, they made sure to utlize a "photo-op backdrop" for social media. Chad, the lone worker there happens to also be th owner/operator. Kind dude who I must congratulate on the Sunshine Espresso business getting up to that one-year mark (I think, I need to ask him again). Every small business owner knows that the first year is the "make it or break it" year, and it looks like Sunshine Espresso is doing well. As for what I ordered, I had the Apple Fritter Latte and two breakfast croissant sandwiches, one with bacon and one with sausage patty. First and foremost, the Apple Fritter Latte was delicious, but for me, the apple fritter flavor was kind of light. As a matter of fact, I could possibly mistake the latte simply as an apple latte because the fritter part seems to be missing or maybe te coffee flavor is blocking it. The breakfast sandwiches were good, and I have to applaud Chad for the integrity. It should be noted the sandwiches are not made from scratch, but assembled with high-end ingredients bought from Gordon's, assembled, and prepared on spot. It is kind of hard for him to make fresh food given the fact certain kitchen wares are lacking. Still, with what he has, he assembles and warms an excellent breakfast sandwich. Nothing wrong with such especially when the owner is being honest. Overall, this was a very good visit to this coffee shop. I will say the only "issue" is the location. I am not used to this area being a coffee shop location, so I have to get used to it. Yet, I look forward to visiting more times so I can.

Ordering was quick and efficient, staff was friendly. This was my first time here and I asked for a description about their Rockies sauce. It was easily described as a chipotle mayonnaise type of sauce. I opted Rocky Point breakfast burrito and my partner opted for the Inlet burrito. I can't speak for him but my burrito was delicious and bursting with flavor and texture. I think this is hands down the best breakfast burrito in Brevard county. My partner said his burrito was really good too and he enjoyed it. Cool atmosphere/ vibe, laid back, easy-going, friendly staff. Smooth coffee. Amazing flavorful filling breakfast burritos! And that Rockies sauce elevates the burrito with a little savory kick!

Breakfast burrito had good amount of filling for regular size, and I liked the bacon. Salsa verde was flavorful and a must add to the burrito! Without salsa the burrito is dry on its own. Staff said the bigger burrito size might have been too much food for what I was looking for, but it might be a good option if you are really hungry. Smoothie was delicious, but it was kind of difficult to drink through the small straws. Really large space in here though! I could see them hosting some cool events here.

**UPDATED REVIEW**…read more The last time I reviewed The 905 Cafe (which I will shorthand simply to 905) was early in my Yelping career. I don't even remember if I earned RED yet, but I surely enjoyed being honest about where I partook my patronage to. 905 received my highest rating for an initial review for a local business, and unless you know, that is always going to be four out of five stars because my fifth star is always earned for consistency as in "consistently being good/great/amazing!" I will stress that I haven't been back to 905 as much as I'd like simply because of work, but now that I have finally made many returns, I can happily say that after eight years (which is way too long if you ask me), I finally made enough visits to write that 905 is consistent and thus have earned their fifth star in which they are one of the few - after I have organized my reviewing style and detail - to be a perfect score local business. In general, all the details I described in my previous review are still effect, but there are some changes that need to be noted. Firstly, 905 is no longer located at 905. It is across the street at 908. They moved back in 2020 during the pandemic. Secondly, there are now more wares inside from local creators, and even a small book and media purchase area. Finally, I must stress how amazing the soups are. Take note that like any other place that makes one pot for the day and finishes that pot in said day, depending on the time you go and how much soup is left, you might get a "flavor bomb" at times. For example, if I show up just an hour or two before closing, my soup will be loaded with flavor because flavor settles over time, even if you mix the soup every so often. That's just the truth. Finally, the ambiance still has the feel of going to grandma's house, but a bit more modernization, too. Nothing too bad but it should be noted. And I don't think I said this last time, but the restroom is gender neutral and very clean. Only place in the entire restaurant where profanity is shown and I don't mean graffiti on the walls because they don't have that. You'll see if you go. Ultimately, they deserve their five-out-of-five stars and it has been a pleasure eating there. I always go back for their soups so I will definitely be around.

As cozy, kitschy, and warm as though you stepped into a midwestern grandma's kitchen :3 Very cute…read more Though the coffee leaves a bit to be desired, I can appreciate the charm of this quaint little cafe, and the friendly service makes up for the mediocre brew. COCONUT ICED TEA: Like a sweet tea, but with a light coconut flavor (made with coconut water maybe)? Simple & refreshing. My bf's 905 Signature was... Sugary! Very sweet. Other drinks we ordered met the same fate... Maybe better if you're a bigger sweet tooth.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more As of this review, there are three kava bars located in south Brevard county, specifically in Palm Bay, FL: Kraken Kava Bar, Nocturne Teas, and Kalea Kava Bar. To further expand my kava horizons, I decided to go north and check out the other kava bars in my county. Simply because this kava bar is also owned by the same people who own Kraken Kava, I wanted to check out Pau Hana first. I will say their kava is a little better than the average, especially compared to certain locales in Historic Downtown Melbourne, but what I love the most is the ambiance and the fact I made some new kava community friends here, too. Though an address is provided, Pau Hana is located in Metro West, the strip mall that also home to the iconic card, board, and tabletop game store, Get Your Fun On, and the best sushi restaurant in all of Brevard County, Umami. Pau Hana is along the eastside of the strip mall just south of the gym. Just like most kava bars I have been to, it is a small-ish space, but what stood out first was the ambiance. Since kava originates from Pacific island nations, especially its believed origin of Vanuatu, many kava bars seem to opt for a stereotypical pacific islander vibe. Pau Hana, though the name is Hawaiian for "Finished Word," the interior seems more like a secret garden. The interior has flora arrangements, flowered vines, and a color scheme that matches the aforementioned secret garden theme, but it is not overly stereotypical of Pacific Island nations. There are also swinging chairs hanging from the ceiling, which I am unsure require a weight limit notice. I assume anyone can sit, but if you weigh more than 350 pounds, you may want to reconsider any thoughts on sitting in those said chairs. There is also a pool table in the back for those who would enjoy a game of 8-Ball, 9-Ball, One Pocket, or Cutthroat. I loved the drink menu they provided here, especially the kava mocktails. The two I had during my visits were the Horchata Kava and the Dirty Chai. The former is a kava mocktail that consists with your choice kava, oatmilk, cinnamon, vanilla and a garnish of a vanilla stick. The latter is your choice of kava, chai tea, vanilla, and your choice of creamer. I had it once with Irish cream and another time with hazelnut. Both were good. And speaking of kava mocktails, I have to give my regards to Eloise as she's been the kavatender every time I been to Pau Hana. Does an excellent job making my cocktails, but doesn't really have time to converse as every time I am there, the bar is somewhat packed. Ultimately, I am going to give Pau Hana a four-out-of-five star rating for its ambiance, its menu, and the fact my circile of kava community friends grew there. If the bar continues to be consistent in their service, environment, and menu, I will grant them their fifth star in an updated review.
