I hate going to chains on vacation, but since there's no Perkins in NY where I live, I made an exception, lol. Typical Perkins food, I had the French toast with eggs and sausage links. Eggs were nothing to write home about, kind of rubbery and very yellow. I also didn't really like the sausage. But the French toast was soo good! Thick pieces, a really nice crisp outside, and the syrup hit the spot. My husband got a sizzler plate, tots and eggs with cheese and gravy. There was a lot of gravy on the plate, almost overwhelming. The tots were crispy and good, but the eggs again, were rubbery and off putting. Our server had a table of 12 next to us and barely said two words to us the whole time. Which would have been fine except I ran out of water halfway through my meal and she never came back to check on us until she brought the machine. It was pricy for a Perkins. Don't come here! Drive out and go somewhere nice. This place was awful. Nobody was friendly or helpful. The hostess didn't say a single word to us just grabbed two menus and walked towards a table. She sat them down and walked off. All with no words. The waitress wasn't that friendly either. Our breakfast was just okay. My big country had way too much gravy and the eggs was rubbery egg beaters. The tater tots were good tho. My wife's eggs were the same way. Her pancakes were pretty good. We came here because it's a perks a Perkins and we don't have them any more we're we live. I guess we'll have to go some where else's for Perkins. As we were walking in I noticed the pies and was thinking we will get that while we walk out but our experience was so bad I didn't want to anymore. In all my years I've never paid a bill without giving at least a 15% tip. After over an hour after we had ordered our food with four very hungry kids and our waitress never checking in on us. I finally got up and said that we 'll just pay for our drinks and leave. As they where trying to locate our missing waitress our food arrived at our table. Food was ice cold and tasted terrible and I do mean terrible. Service is very slow and neither attentive nor friendly. The outside is not pedestrian friendly, so walking in through the door from our hotel we were ordered to not sit at a table but to walk to the front door. Where the same server who had ordered us not to sit down then walked us back through the restaurant to sit at the table we had already chosen. There were about 4 or 5 other tables with guests when we entered, but it still took 30 minutes to get our drinks. And that was only after I had chased up our server several times. Her response, "I usually bring drinks out with your food!" I asked for my son's food to be expedited, but said it was ok to take the usual time with mine. Both of us ended up waiting over 40 minutes for the food to arrive. And when it did it wasn't worth it. As a side I ordered their "bowl of fresh fruit." Out came a tiny bowl with 4 pieces of melon, 2 or 3 chunks of pineapple and a grape. Hardly a satisfying amount. read more

I'd like to know who the mafioso is that owns the strip in Niagara Falls, because I'd off him in a heartbeat. Even better the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce should do the job for me. This location is attached to the Skyline Inn where I stayed. We had a 2 kids eat free coupon. So we paid for 2 adult meals and 1 kids meal and 3 Orange Juices so the total bill was $66.02 plus TIP. That's a lot for breakfast. I still haven't learned my lesson to just walk to Tim Hortons and get a half dozen bagels with cream cheese. Someday I will learn. The food was ok. Three star ok. We wanted to go to Perkins, it used to be a favorite place to go with the Muffins and American feel especially since most Perkins are closed. The restaurant was clean, the service was good and the food was average. The prices are higher just because this is Niagara Falls. A few disappointing things: -There was not much selection for Pies and muffins in the front, it was like you were in some small independent diner (usually Perkins has a beautiful showcase of this stuff as it is a highlight) -My meal of Sausage Patties, Eggs, and homefries were good except for the plate could have been more appealing with an orange or other decorative figures. My muffin was heated up (they have never done it before) and it took away from the taste. I am worried my Apple Cinnamon Muffin was a little dated and that is why they heated it. In the past the muffins have been delicious at Perkins but not as much this time. We are happy we went because we wanted to try something different then we have at home but from a business perspective I feel Perkins needs to make a few modern changes to keep the locations they have open. read more

Half the food was cold... my soup came at the same time my meal came. I was rushed to pay could not even eat my meal. My daughter had a kids meal we had to ask for the cookie. While eating my 1/2 cold food I was rushed to pay. I tried to eat and then was asked to finish signing the paper and give it to him even though I told him I would give it to him after I ate meal. My other daughter ordered the cheese burger and took 3 bits of it and said it was bad. My sons meal and daughters meals were 1/2 cold as well. I will not be back. Disappointed and it was so expensive too. Also never stopped to check on us or ask us if we needed anything else. I had to ask another waitress for ranch and a refill on our drinks. So sad! Oh. My. God. Taylor L. and I drove all night to come up to Niagara Falls for a nice Valentine's Weekend Getaway. We were absolutely starving when we arrived. After driving around a little, Taylor spotted a Denny's, which had become a favorite of ours since we roadtripped around the country, but I was like..."I did not drive all the way up here to have my first meal at a chain restaurant...." We drove around some more. Why is everywhere in Canada, named after United States?!? New York, California, Montana restaurants.... very weird. I'm asking, what's going on with this place being a poser, and where are all of the Canadian restaurants? Nothing was opened....... We drove back to our hotel and walked across the street to Perkins :( I say, "at least we can get a nice, big satisfying meal and maybe some pie!" Nope! I went with a special breakfast. It was like a benedict, but instead, scrambled eggs, monterey jack, avocado, and tomato on an english muffin with hash browns. The egg part had no taste!! Like at all. And it was $16... My hash browns were so overcooked that they were pure crispiness. There was no potato left. It had the same crunchiness, to the likeness of that crunchy sugar decoration you get at some fancy restaurants. Sometimes I don't know why I don't just send things back. Taylor's coffee was cold. He was smart enough to ask for a new one. They gyped him on a pancake. When he brought it to the attention of the waitress, she was nice, but wanted to know if he wanted the pancake. Yet no one greeted my group of 8, and we were sat down after standing around for a good while The breakfast was AWFUL. Microwaved, tasteless and ugly!!! Presentation was the worse and the service was not good. The waitress was nice but forgot many things, mixed up the bills and we were charged a 15% mandatory gratuity! Oh look, an angry patron posting a negative review of an overpriced establishment in Tourist County, Niagara Falls. What are the odds? Yeah yeah, I know, but normally I don't get too fazed by the overpriced ridiculousness of Niagara, but this place was an exception. First of all, it's mind-blowingly impossible to park anywhere near this place without having to pay for Casino parking. Maybe I just didn't see it, but at the time, the lots were closed, and I did a double-lap around the place to see if there was somewhere to park, but in the end, went back to our hotel parking lot and walked. Oh well. Our server was nice enough, but that was as far as it went, staff-wise. Several times during our stay, some server was making a total jackass of himself in the kitchen (very close to where we were seated), not only berating other employees for apparent mistakes, but was screaming it and annoying the customers. At one point a coworker disagreed with one of his accusations, and not able to see it, clearly heard him get all up in the guy's grill and start shouting, and several others had to tell the asshole to chill out, because it sounded like a fight almost broke out. Completely unprofessional! Now, as I said, I'm no stranger to overpriced food in the Falls, but this was extreme. Our 2 breakfasts came to over $50, and I had only ordered an omelette with pancakes, and my girlfriend got some potato pancakes. What the hell? And I could understand if the portions were huge, but my omelette was about half the size of one you'd get from Eggsmart or Cora, and didn't taste all that special either. After balking on the hotel buffet for $20 per person with children eating for free, I suggested a tried and true favourite, Perkins. I thought that, like every visit i had to this chain, I would receive a solid meal at a reasonable price. Easily less than the $40 I was paying for hotel food. I entered the location at lunchtime, greeted by an empty display case, with one shelf collapsed on the other, and an empty dining room. Who knew that because it was parked next to the casino, it naturally could inflate the prices. $16.50 for an average club. $50 in total for 2 meals and a kids corn dog with a small bowl of fruit. Terrible experience from the minute we walked in. The hostess saw us walk in the door, then walked away into the back and didn't return for a few minutes. None of the many servers who walked past us bothered to seat us or even acknowledge that we were there. When the hostess came back she was not friendly at all. We were sat at a table that was not clean and had no silverware. Our waitress was alright. We put in our orders with her and started the longest wait for the most simple dishes I have ever experienced. Two of us ordered pancakes with eggs, bacon, and fruit, one person ordered a muffin, and the other ordered the egg and potato skillet. Those are not complicated orders. At MOST that should take 30 minutes. After about 40 minutes we called the manager over to see what was going on. The first thing she did was start making excuses as to why we didn't have our food yet. We told her we understand that other people had ordered before us, but the wait time is ridiculous. She continued to make excuses and we expressed that we just wanted to pay for the coffee we had already drank and leave. She insisted that our food was coming out soon even though we didn't even want it anymore. I told her we didn't want it and she offered to give us 50% off the meal. We ended up waiting 50 minutes for our food. They brought out three of the six plates and one of them was prepared wrong. It took another 5-10 minutes to receive the rest of the food. The food was lukewarm at best and not any better than a cheap diner. After a lot of fuss and ridiculously terrible service, the manager did end up comping our meals. So I guess that's why they get one star. Don't waste your time eating here. Overpriced, terrible service, and mediocre food. read more

Easy walk in for a quick breakfast. A little on the pricy side. Our eggs were a little cold and over cooked. My biscuits were tough and obviously not just cooked. The waitress was great. My 9 yr old wanted a side of chicken noodle soup at 9am. The waitress was able to get the soup for her at the end of the meal without an extra charge which put a smile on my daughter's face. They are accommodating and friendly. These poor service staff have to keep explaining why thier prices are a bit higher since they are at the centre of Niagra falls! Actually, it is nice. Service was good and dinner are fine. We had been there for two breakfast (hotel package) and one dinner. So so for hotel package, one breakfast is enough not two for the same. I am so lazy to go far for dinner especially for 3 kids but it is satisfied for them. Kids love their chocolate pie. If you stay at Skyline hotel or Sheraton just right cross the hotel and so lazy to go out to find out a restaurant, well I would say Perkins can be good choice. read more

To start out, the prices were far beyond the quality of the food, although to be fair, everywhere on the Canadian side of the falls is overpriced. So my girlfriend and i were cold and had been walking for awhile, and decided to stop in. I had been to Perkins in upstate NY before so i thought I knew what to expect. This honestly was one of the worst meals of my life. I had the french dip. The au jus sauce was so bad it tasted so metallic that i was certain it just came from an old metal storage container/canister. On to the beef and sandwich. The roast beef was so rubbery it squeaked between my teeth. It literally felt like i was chewing on a piece of rubber which had first been voided of any flavor. My girlfriends meal was just as bad. The eggs looked and tasted like they had been microwaved. If you are looking for a place on the Canadian Side of the falls to take $60 from you and bring you food that even a dog would shy away from, this is the place for you! read more

We asked for real cheese on our nachos instead of the queso. We also asked for no beef. This was very confusing to our waitress; she then asked if we wanted nachos with nothing on them at all. And we were like.... 'no...?' The nachos came out properly but the cheese wasn't melted onto the tortilla chips which is simply ludicrous. So here's my experience at this Perkins. Walked in waited to be seated. Older lady sitting rolling serviettes looks at me does nothing. I sit down and wait patiently and check in on Yelp. I look up her lips are moving as she looks in my direction. Another lady peeps her head out and looks at me. After a few more minutes same lady that popped her head out before decides now to come over and greet us with a fake smile. We get seated in the corner and realize making the mistake of not checking out the reviews on Yelp while I checked in. Menu is not a full menu. Prices are more expensive then your normal Perkins. I decide to order the Tremendous Twelve cause they don't haves lumberjack slam. Eggs come out darkened on the top and dry, consistent with having sat there and not freshly made. Bacon is warm. Server comes back and checks in which is great. I decide I need to use the facilities. Walk towards the bathroom only to get a glare from a worker like I somehow insulted his family. You know that feeling someone's staring at you and you look back and catch them. 1 meal, 3 coffees, a cookie, and a muffin equals a whomping $35. My bad, I chose convenience and made the mistake in not reading the reviews already added by my fellow Yelpers. Don't get owned like us. Research somewhere else close by to eat whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. After all if you're anywhere near this Perkins, you're close to a lot of other restaurants as you're near the Clifton Tourist area. The other Yelpers were spot on with their reviews. read more
