To another Perkins? Yes, what drew us there? ...was convenience and a 10% coupon. Kathleen, our server, who had many miles of experience, took care of us. A very competent and sweet soul. I ordered an omelette w/various veggies and a mundane cupcake on the side. Omelette good, cupcake? you already know. My close friend ordered waffles w/bacon & scrambled eggs. All this with a carafe of coffee. The staff looked like they were short handed, like a few of them called in sick, cuz they were really moving fast and really.... it wasn't that crowded. As with most chains, they placate the children with crayons and a variety of placemats to settle them in, so that their parents/grandparents can catch up on the latest gossip and office talk. This branch is located just outside of Viewmont Mall, which has been around for over 50 yrs.

Short staffed but not short on wanting to serve and be courteous to their public. Thank you one of the best mess as la I've had in a while and out waiter deserves the credit for being so kind!!!

A build a breakfast ,Decaf and regular coffee. Country skillet.

The food was good, a little overpriced for what we got. Waitress was prompt but not very attentive, brought coffee but no cups. Lol Asked for eggs hard fried, got over easy, although they did replace with hard fried once we pointed it out. Not a 5 star diner for sure. As I said in the end the food was good.

No air conditioning restaurant not clean no social distancing very uncomfortable manager was absent lights not even turned on. waste of $30. They could have even opened the back door to bring the heat down. I would have sent the manager to Home Depot to buy a box fan, just did not care about customers. If the manager did not care then corporate is even worse. The waitress said it's been three weeks and you wonder why restaurant close or have no staff. Weirdly the food was above average.

I've been a fan of Perkins since I was a child and we stopped at one on a family road trip to the hideout in PA. I got the potato pancakes and that is all I have gotten since. They are fluffy and delicious and have ruined me to potato pancakes everywhere else. This is my first time at this particular location. Driving home from buffalo after a business trip for work I glanced longingly at the rest stop food signage for anything other than fast food. My eyes lit up in Scranton when I saw the Perkins logo. The thing I love the most about Perkins is they give you your own thermos of coffee. It stays piping hot and you do not have to stalk the waitress or waiter for refills. That and the cream pie make this a road trip heaven for me.

I love that they do so much for Give Kids The World.

I was excited to find this place since they aren't in Texas. I'd heard about Perkins since they donate so much to Give Kids the World. I enjoyed the atmosphere, reminded me a bit of Denny's. The selection of food was interesting and unique. Everyone else's food turned out really well. Unfortunately, my Granny breakfast meal was smothered in so much cheese sauce I could barely eat it. The manager took the time to come talk to me a minute after the waitress told him we had gone to GKTW on a wish trip. That was nice of him. Overall, the service was really nice and I would totally go back again, I would just make sure not to order the same thing.

You have to try the grilled muffin! Tastes like a muffin flavored cookie!

First off, if you decide to eat here you have to try the grilled muffin instead of toast. Tasted like a muffin flavored cookie. Yum! They cut it in half and Grill it. I wish they would have cut it in threes for more grilled flavor. The omelet my husband had, was missing cheese and the meet was burnt. My omelet was delicious but I asked for cheese on the "make your own". Stringy home fries were hard and crunchy but I was just happy they weren't under cooked. Service was good/fast. Waitress was zooming from table to table. Bathroom walls, doors and sinks could use a good scrubbing! Ewe! They are supposed to be white!

Our breakfast platters were terrific, with pancakes light, fluffy and buttery, and Kathleen was a perfect waitress - efficient, quick with refills and very warm and friendly.

Even the complimentary chips and salsa were not enjoyable. The chips were extremely salty and oily, and the salsa was also overly salty. Things only went downhill from there. I first ordered the Crispy Chicken Crispers, which were horrible and not enjoyable at all. After that, I tried the fajitas, hoping for a better experience, but they were just as bad. The steak and shrimp did not taste like quality ingredients, and the entire dish was excessively greasy and salty. I simply could not eat it. This was two strikes with two different meals, and because of that, I will not be returning to this location or any other Chili's restaurant. The best part of our visit was Grace. She remained professional, courteous, and accommodating despite the issues with the food. She truly deserves special recognition, praise, or even a raise for the outstanding job she did. Employees like Grace are hard to find and are a tremendous asset to the restaurant. for the food, for Grace's outstanding service.

We waited at the front a couple of minutes which was okay considering they seemed busy, but then some party entered and were attended to right away. We basically just followed that party because I overheard the there wwer only tables in the outdoor patio. We were able to establish contact with wait staff out there and so it began. Staff was friendly but service was slow. We were waited on by about 4 different persons, which was a little confusing, but if that what it takes to get served, then fine. Again, I am guessing they were understaffed. We ordered some BBQ ribs which were quite good but the half rack was small IMO. They have nothing on Kansas City, but it was still pretty good. They appear to BBQ their meats on the premises. Ambiance was okay, fine for BBQ and beer. If I lived in Scranton, maybe this place would be on the list of options, IDK.

Don't come here on Wing Night Wednesday…read more. We made the mistake of coming here on wing night. We got our appetizer, chips and dip. Chips were homemade and burnt... 3/10. Dip was fine, probably out of a packet. Little did we know those burnt chips would be the only thing we would be eating for an hour with little to no refills. Seemed to be forgotten about with us being inside and I guess everyone else in the back. After an hour, our food came out. I got the brisket tacos, they were good. 8/10. My table got a chicken cheesesteak and ask for no mushrooms and ofc it came out with mushrooms... We had to get the wings, the wings were good! An hour wait good? No. 7/10. It took a weird amount of time for our last entree to come out and it was just like chicken tenders on a bun, no love. Oh and the pulled pork sandwich was more like slop. Our waitress's excuse was that they had a new chef. Sooooo I guess they decided to start training this chef during service. Food - 8/10 Service - 5/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Overall - 6/10
