Newly remodeled family friendly and smoke free restaurant that everyone has come to know and love. The staff is usually on the top of their game with their friendly and attentive services. What can't you not like about Perkins? They have an all day breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and are open late. At one point in time this location was open 24 hours but now this location has scaled back their late night hours due to the lack of business during the late night hours and increased 24 hour competition nearby. read more

We were told 15mins for a booth and waited almost 25 mins bc the girl gave our booth away and kept putting people in front of us so we walked out and went to dennys. Thank you perkins dennys was way better anyway. read more

Nice staff, but service was VERY slow. We were there at 8 in the morning on a Saturday. Yes, I understand that this spot gets busy on the weekends, but you should not have to wait 25 minutes for waters and coffee. Once we got our food, it was cold. Won't be returning. read more

Wow! Stunned beyond belief. The 'Honey Mustard Chicken Crunch Salad' had a HALF of ONE piece of chicken tenderloin (that was evidently found at the bottom of the fryer) ripped to a few pieces by hand and dumped on top of a mountain of lettuce and spoiled red peppers. The Chicken & Wild Rice Soup looked like chicken and wild LICE with SNOT soup! Barely warm and the first thing you taste? CHLORINE! All in one gelatinous nasty plop... GROSS! Perkins, why have you forsaken me! I used to love going here to get bread bowl salads. They closed down the Perkins near us, so we only get out to this one once a year or so when we are visiting family. Unfortunately when we got there this time, they had totally changed their salads, and now they are full of "fresh greens", which is another word for crappy tasting fancy lettuce. So that was ruined. So I got this Chicken Biscuit southern breakfast, which was ok, but the chicken was kind of subpar quality in my opinion, it was breaded, but had fat and gristle they didn't seem to care to take off at the factory. Plus our waitress there was pretty slow, it took forever for her to get our order, and she screwed it up. So needless to say Perkins is off my list of places to go anymore. read more

On March 23, 2018 @9:00 AM my wife and I went to Regional Hospital where I had to undergo an Ultra Sound test for what may be a serious condition which I won't get into. The test took about an hour and required me to fast since 9:00 PM the night before so naturally I was very hungry. My wife asked me if I wanted to go upstairs to the Hospital cafeteria and grab something to eat. I said let's go someplace else and get a decent Breakfast or Lunch. I suggested a couple of places to her such as the Viewmont Diner or even Denny's both of them probably within 500 yards of Perkins. We haven't been to this Perkins in probably 4-5 years because we really never cared for their food and we always said we would never go back because of that. Well we caved in and figured we would try it one more time. BIG BIG mistake. We both had the Spinach/Mushroom dish which was TERRIBLE. The meals were brought out on a very small hot platter according to the waitress because she said don't grab it by the handle because it was hot. Really? Then why was the food cold?? Believe me Potatoes are my favorite vegetable but these Potatoes are the worst I ever had in my 81 years on this earth. Another thing with a meal that consisted of Potatoes, Spinach, eggs and Mushrooms you would think that you would get toast with it. NAH. No toast. I had coffee and my wife had Hot Chocolate which was $2.49. If she wanted another cup it would be an additional $2.49. But yet I got a carafe of coffee for $2.49 which was terrible. The what I believe was the assistant manager came around and asked how was everything? I asked her what kind of potatoes were these because they were bland. I said were these Russet potatoes? She said she didn't know. They come in a package. She then left and came back and said they were some number such as 76 0r 77 which to me didn't mean anything. She then left and came back and said that she knocked 25% off of our bill because we weren't satisfied. BIG DEAL. The proper thing for her to do was for her to ask if she could get us something else in place of it. Nope. My wife didn't even finish her meal. The whole bill came to I believe around $23.00 or in that vicinity but with the 25% off because we weren't satisfied it came to $19.05. My wife and I have been to other Perkins such as in Toms River, NJ . That one I would give a 10 Star to. Absolutely the best. This one in Scranton, Pa I gave a 1 Star to but if I could it would it a minus 5 Star. It probably has something to do with the Manager. Maybe a change is needed because he has been there for a very long time and that is why we never was satisfied. Maybe he should try taking a better interest in what is going on in the kitchen and out on the floor in the dining area. As a matter of fact when I went to pay the bill he asked if I wanted to take home some pastry home from the show case. Why would I want to do that? If the meal was terrible I am sure the Pastry is also. As a matter of fact we did try years ago and did buy some pastry to go. That was also terrible. If anyone is reading this review please do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. This was one of the worst meals we had out. We then came home and made ourselves some good homemade Mac & Cheese since it was on a Friday during the Easter season and since we are Catholic we do observe fasting during Lent. NEVER WILL I GO BACK TO THIS PERKINS. I learned one thing though. Sometimes a Husband should listen to the wife. We should have gone to the Hospital Cafeteria like she wanted to in the first place. As a matter of fact before I retired I was in charge of a rather large Prison in NJ. We gave better food to the Inmates than what my wife and I had at this Perkins. When my husband and I just went there there were only two other tables besides us in the place and three waiters. We already knew what we wanted when we went in so ordered right away and still waited 45 minutes for our food. We got different meals but both got milkshakes and got very sick shortly after drinking them. When the waitress took our order she mentioned that she was going to go make our milkshakes which I found odd. We overheard the table behind us complaining and they got their food comped. When we were ready to leave we asked for the check and the waitress disappeared for quite a while. She walked by our table multiple times and each time my husband called to her and she ignored him. While we were waiting for our check a table of about a dozen people were seated and she took their drink order and brought them their drinks before giving us our checks. We were there for way longer than it should have taken. When we went to pay my husband did not once say anything bad about the food but he mentioned to the girl at the register that the service was awful and took forever, and she asked us if our drinks were okay which I now find very strange being we both got super sick after drinking them. They comped our food which I am now glad about because who wants to pay for food poisoning? We are nice people so it's not like we were rude and they messed with our food, I don't understand what happened but I will never go there again. Even the waiter at the other table seemed to have a really crappy attitude and looked and sounded miserable. We used to go here occasionally when passing through but it is clear it's just not the same anymore. We will not be returning. read more
