They are too busy for the cook staff to keep up. After waiting 25 minutes to be seated and finding out our names were skipped, I spoke to the stewardess who took us directly to a table. 10 minute wait for drinks and then a 40 minute wait for the food to be served. We were there for a bout and an hour and a half for breakfast. The waitress was very apologetic, but it wasn't her fault. Hard to go wrong with Perkins. The service here is nice and the food is average or better. You will have a good time here but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. I do like places that leave a pot of coffee at the table. read more

Me and my Husband came in on thanksgiving and had to wait a while to sit. Once we sat down our serve Julianna was very nice. She was fast about taking our drink order and bringing the things we needed to our table. Ther turkey dinner was delicious. The pumpkin pie after was good. read more

This was my second time being here. The first wasn't a bad experience but this time.. Me and my kids 3 and 5 waited for over an hour for food and when it arrived my steak was burnt and the rest of our food was cold. Figured if i send it back it will be another hour. It was very disappointing. After I asked for compensation for my inconvenience she said the manger took off 20%. Paid $21 for a burnt steak and cold food and hung out in a restaurant for and hour and a half. Great Saturday morning. read more

Ok first off customer service was great! The food though....meh... we waited 45 minutes before we got our breakfast and the breakfast was cold. I ordered a skillet and the cheese wasn't even melted and the potatoes were cold. I did however order a muffin and it was amazing... Being a chain, my husband and I assumed it to be safe. These are all separate visits** We were greeted and seated, when the waitress came to take our orders they had no Coke. Alright, lets have rootbeer, no out of that too. Water it is, she comes back to take the order and they were out of three separate dishes and by then we were ready to leave. Up and out. So my husband wanted something for lunch before heading to work. He was wanting Perkins but didn't have time to go out and then get to work so I drove up there to order lunch to go. I got us each an ultimate club sandwich. It was perfection! The sweet girl who waited on me was obviously new but did an awesome job. The food was wonderful and they were super quick! I barely sat down before my order was ready to go. This is a definite gem. From the cozy atmosphere to the fabulous food. Upon entering the foyer the smell of urine was pungent. We entered the restaurant and the smell of old wet moldy floor was worse. Let's hope the food is better then the smell. Once opening my sugar packet it became clear that everything was damp. read more

They are wrong listing this as a one $sign on the listing . This is so wrong ! Everything is way over priced and very small portions all the way around!!!!! 2$+ for coffee is s little high . Hash browns the size of a deck of cards and the smallest portions anywhere. I have to go here once a month with a men's group unfortunately and I hate spending $10 for a McDonald's pancake breakfast, the group is considering to change were we go because everyone has noticed the same thing big $$$ small portions on everything! We also notice that at 8 am on Tuesday mornings the place is void of customers so I think other people are noticing because the pancake house across the street has a full parking lot. Another thing they have been written up by the health department in Hernando County dirty dining more than once. I have been going to Perkins for years for breakfast lunch and dinner We went today for a club sandwich that I have had may times before The menu said new ultimate club there were no pictures of the Sandwich so when you think of a club sandwich you think of three Slices of bread with turkey bacon lettuce and tomato what came out Was 2 slices of bread some turkey a small piece of tomato one slice Of lettuce and one slice of bacon talked to manager who blamed it on Corporate saying it was their fault. First I think it is false advertising Everyone knows what a club sandwich is supposed to be if they are going to change the sandwich they at least should have a picture or someway of letting you know what you are getting. The manager handled this terribly and was indifferent to our concerns. After going here for years they just lost me as a customer but I don't think they really care. read more

This is a great place to eat if you're in the mood for breakfast, baked goods or diner style type foods. I haven't tried any of their more substantial fair but I'm sure it's pretty decent. My family and I frequent this place and the service is always great. I have never had bad service here which is why we keep coming back. Even when we just come in to take out baked goods everyone is very accommodating and friendly. The singular qualm I have is that sometimes we come in and the water to wash down the tables hasn't been changed enough so it will have that weird smell, but it's only like half the time. It's not enough to break the place because other restaurants have that issue too at times. Overall, a really comfy place to get together with family or friends for food or even just coffee & dessert. Here we go again with these 4 and 5 star reviews. People have to upgrade there palates and stop eating at Burger King The place is always empty because the service stinks and the the manager is afraid of keeping the place comfortable it is always damp and stuffy. Then you feel a little cool air and off again. Unless you are a regular the food is served to you the bill is left and no sign of her till your done. I watched as the other server interacted and was available to her tables while mine and the other disappeared. The food is edible not the worst but no way 4 or 5 stars. There was a homeless person walking through the parking lot and the manager decided that she should poke fun of this man . Saying outlandish things and gossiping with the waitress about him .
