This review is for take out only. Hubby was hungry for a good breakfast and since I don't cook breakfast we decided to order from the Homosassa Breakfast Station location. Preparation time was great and we had our food in no time at all. Employees were friendly and service was efficient. I ordered a Railyard Garden Omelette. A three egg omelette filled with onions, peppers, mushrooms, fresh spinach and tomatoes plus I added Swiss Cheese to the mix. The omelette was delicious and filled with the vegetables. Swiss Cheese had a good flavor but the only small complaint I had was they placed the Swiss on top of the omelette and when we brought it home it was of course warm and the cheese had hardened somewhat on top. Next time I will ask for the cheese to be inside but that's such a minute issue. My sides were grits and rye toast. The grits were cooked perfectly and retained their heat enough for me to add butter which melted throughout. Rye toast was still crispy and buttered from end to end. My husband's breakfast was called Train Wreck. It consisted of a homemade biscuit, home fries with onions and peppers covered in their sausage gravy and served with two eggs - style of your choice. He always asks for over easy eggs and his eggs were cooked to his liking. He also enjoyed his meal. A good quality breakfast at a reasonable price. We look forward to going into the restaurant next time for another delicious breakfast. read more

The breakfast station is a very clean and bright restaurant. Everything on the menu is very good. We mainly order breakfast foods when we go there however, I have had their meatloaf and mashed potatoes and that was good too. Very friendly service. At the Homosassa location the owner is usually there helping out. He will seat you bus, your table, etc. he works side-by-side his team, which is very admirable. read more

This was our first time to Breakfast Station and it won't be our last! We were immediately greeted by a few friendly servers with a 'GOOD MORNING!' We loved the enthusiasm! Our waitress was new and truly on top of it! I had the BLT and it was enormous! Definitely more bacon than I've ever had on a blt!! Hubby had the burger special. Come hungry! Welcomed at the door with a big smile and seated immediately! This was the third restaurant we arrived at this morning. The first one was closed down for good, the second one was open but after checking Yelp for the menu, Yelp misled us. Yelp said they open for lunch. So, we came to The Breakfast Station. I'm glad we did! My breakfast was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his breakfast as well. The food came out VERY quickly, hot and delicious. The room filled up after we arrived with a lot of duck hunters. I don't hunt but I realized all the guys were wearing camo and the flat boats outside gave it away. We've been in a few times over the last couple weeks and love everything about it. It's a perfect neighborhood diner! The staff are amazing, friendly, and make you feel like a regular. Everything we've eaten has been great. It's hard not to get the cinnamon swirl pancakes every time we're there! Biscuits and gravy are great too. The Philly steak wrap is also a solid choice and I love the caboose crisps instead of fries! Next time we're there for lunch, I've got to try one of the burgers! read more

This place has good service. It's clean and the food is above average. It can get crowded during the normal busy times.

This location is fast and always has the best service. They remember their patrons and you can tell they have long term relationships with community members. Food is always delicious and everything on the menu is worth a try. It gets busy on Sunday's after 10 AM but we are always impressed with how fast they get people in and out without feeling rushed. Driving from Tampa to I-10. We decided to stay off of the crowded I-75. What a pleasant drive up we had. Our first stop was the Breakfast Station in Homosassa Florida for breakfast. We were greeted by several employees and seated immediately. There was a nice small town atmosphere here where everyone was so polite, pleasant, and friendly. The two of us were seated in a booth against the wall. I enjoyed that they had a shelf on the wall to keep our condiments up and give us more room on the table for our food. Our waitress made everything even better. Melanie, politely helped us with our order. We started with coffee and it was hot and very good. Definitely not your average gas station coffee. I had the 1 Meat Trio Skillet, scrambled and an order of bacon. Melanie, our server, brought us our food and WOW! my skillet was piping hot! The scrambled eggs acted as a blanket keeping everything very hot, just the way I like it. Thinking my breakfast would cool down in a few minutes I took small bites and ate slowly but that wasn't working. We both soon realized we needed something cold to drink with our meal, coffee just wasn't working. Melanie brought us a couple glasses of water to help cool our tongues as we ate the best breakfast of our lives. All the way to the last bite of my meal I was using my water to cool my tongue. Maxwell house is good to the last drop but the Breakfast Station breakfast was good to the last bite. Melanie and the rest of the staff were quick to pick up plates of food we had finished, keeping out table clear but not rushing us. Bathrooms were clean and roomy. First let me say the server was very pleasant and was a recent hire as her name badge identified her as a Trainee, and I have no issue with this young lady. The Fish and chips that I ordered came with 3 pieces of frozen fried fish strips that were dry and delivered on a piece of lettuce with a lemon wedge. There were no "chips/fries" served and I chose to just eat what was delivered without causing the young waitress and stress. The cole slaw that I ordered as a side was something that involved celery seed and a raspberry dressing. After a small taste I decided not to eat this. The unsweetened tea was good and the creamcycle float was also good. The check was $25 which seems pretty expensive for this meal. I'll stick to just breakfast at the BS. read more

We've ate at the Breakfast Station a few times this week while vacationing in Homosassa, Florida. The restaurant is decorated really cute with all the trains. (Even cuter at Christmas time). The wait staff was excellent and were quick to refill your beverages. I tried their breakfast skillets a couple times and both were great. Their home fries are really good. We tried their "Almost Famous Crunch Toast" and it was just okay to me. It was too sweet for me personally but the presentation was nice.
