Ate breakfast here yesterday for the first time. Our server was Judy H. She was friendly, helpful & efficient. Unbeknownst to us, our good friend was also there for breakfast, so he joined us at our table after we had placed our order. Judy was very accommodating to our friend & put in his order immediately so that we could all eat together. While we were eating, the manager came by our table to make sure our dining experience was great. This is a clean restaurant. The women's restroom needs a little updating but it was clean, well stocked & free of litter. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

The slowest service ever. I should have gone elsewhere when the manager and waitresses were busy arguing over the day staff when we walked in and did not even take a break so welcome us. But since this is basically the only place that's open 24 hours now around here and we were hungry so we stayed. Ten minutes later we finally got to order and 45 min after that or food arrived. I will say this - the food was really good. Rhyan got a burger with an egg on top that was not only presented beautifully but she said was one of the best she has had in a good while! I myself had a ham and cheese omelette and it was really filling. Not greasy and chocked full of ham and cheese. Very satisfying. While the staff was lack luster I can't say I would totally rule out coming back - just to see if it was an off night maybe. The food was def worth a do over read more

Staff: was greeted when we first walked in and seated right away. Our waitress took our order promptly but did not smile much. She made sure to come back to check on us a few times. Food: got potato pancakes and they were very good. They are usually very thin but today they were not. Ordered bacon well well done and it was not to my liking but didn't want them to microwave it to make it crisp. My opinion of the bacon is that it sucks anymore and very cheep. Atmosphere: for the most part it is ok. Dirty lamp shades, dirty floors from food crumbs, not so clean glass. Ok I don't have a lot to say about Perkins because well it's Perkins. Grandma's love it here so that what she wanted and that's where we went. As for the food I will give them a great big thumbs up because we didn't have a complaint about any of it. Grams got strawberry loaded pancakes and we all had a bite of those and didn't regret it. I ordered soup and a sandwich and it was pretty tasty and a decent size portion. My sister in law ordered potato pancakes and that was the first time I have ever had them and I was really surprised how good they were. So I would go back for the food for sure. As for the the service on the other hand it wasn't good at all. I had an empty drink for for about 10 minutes after my food came she didn't come back to see if we needed anything until we were way into eating our food because you don't want your food to get cold. She wasn't all that friendly either and we didn't have anything special that she had to do for us so her job serving us wasn't that hard. Would I return for the food most definitely but as for the server I would ask for someone else. Sitting here now and I'm just shaking my head at how disorganized this place is. We have been here for nearly a half hour and still don't have food. Several other patrons have made comments as well. The poor waitress is completely flustered. She keeps telling everyone how sorry she was and that something is going on in the kitchen. She keeps telling us she will be right there but she is putting out fires all over. It took 15 minutes to get drinks. She brought coffee but no silverware to stir with, a few minutes later, that was dropped off along with a tray of syrup but none of us ordered pancakes so there was no need. She wasn't new because here name tag said "serving customers since 1985". I really did feel bad because it probably wasn't her fault. At the same time, someone needed to figure out what was going on! It took 45 minutes to finally get out food however they forgot to make my side of bacon. That took an additional 5 minutes or so. Everything tasted fine but it took forever and as I said, very disorganized. I'm not sure what was going on but it was very noticeable by everyone that something was up. Two people arrive at 11:40a to order a simple breakfast and don't leave until after 1p. That's a problem! Even the restroom was trashed! Toilet paper strewn all over, toilet clogged with TP, a coffee filter and grounds on the floor and Swastikas carved all over the place in the stall. Management here needs to step in and right this ship before it sinks! If not for the food being decent, this would surely have been a one star experience read more

Me and my mom went to perkins today got seated at 11:09 waitress never came over til 11:24 to take our drink and food order then she never brought our food out til 11:56 and my banana nut muffin was burnt bad almost 35.00 for the shitty service . We were here late in the evening after church and this place is filthy dirty. If I wasn't with a group we wouldn't have stayed. The carpets are disgusting and the decor was not maintained. The food was OK and the service was not great. read more

Meh. Perkins. Eh. I've never had a crazy wild desire to go to Perkins, while I feel like many people from my high school always used to get more excited for Perkins than their own birthdays. Even drunk cravings don't bring me to Perkins. I must say, I do have some fond memories at this place and I won't dog on it too much. They have pretty solid chain "diner" food--chicken tenders, pancakes, etc. (I don't think I've ever eaten anything other than those here...). I would say Perkins is a good decision when it's too late for other options and you don't QUITE want fast food. read more

This location has really taken a turn for the worse. The exterior is in need of repair. The interior is filthy. The food itself is OK. On our most recent visit, one of the waitresses was standing at the kitchen entrance explaining to her co-workers how she had some of her hair pulled out during her incarceration in the Mahoning County Jail. She then complained how she got caught at her sober house drunk...and this was with the manager standing there listening to the story! If we go to Perkins again it will be the one on Rt 46 in Howland. read more

Moving back to the Ohio area after 20 years I was excited to take my kids to breakfast at one of my favorite breakfast places from childhood....big disappointment...we arrived and the host barely glanced at us and spouted, " how many?", with a sigh. It didn't get any better after that...we received burnt food and had to send it back everyone working there seemed absolutely miserable I never saw a smile or heard a friendly word. My food was cold as I waited for my daughters meal to be redone as it was burnt ...we got free cookies for our troubles...as we were waiting to pay I heard the unfriendly hostess tell the person in front of me in her monotone bored voice how they could fill out a survey and get a discount next time....we went next with someone who came to help the unfriendly worst hostess ever and we were not offered the survey at all....next time we will try something else...blah read more

If I could rate with 0 stars I would. My husband and I went in there about 10:50 am with our 2 children after seeing fireworks. After placing our orders our waitress just disappeared. A man in a dark red t-shirt and black gym shorts brought our drinks to us. As he leaned down to set them on the table I noticed that he definitely smelled like alcohol. Our waitress was still gone for quite a while but when she finally came she told us that our food was just coming up. Another 10 almost 15 minutes went by and she finally brought our food. My husband and son got breakfast food and me and my other son got burgers and fries. The breakfast foods were Luke warm and the fries were room temp. They also forgot to bring out some of the breakfast potatoes which comes as part of the meal. As I took a bite into my burger I noticed it was undercooked. I had them make a new one and it took at least 25 minutes to receive that. I took a bit into the new burger and it smell like rancid sour meat. I had my oldest son taste it to make sure I wasn't crazy and he immediately spat it out. Each time our waitress came over we noticed that her speech was slurred more and more so I assume she was under the influence of something because she sounded and acted drunk by the time we left. She almost fell over trying to pick something up off the floor. We paid for our food and left. When we got home we cut our youngests burger in half and sure enough it was pink too. He loves burgers and didn't want to eat it there so I smelled it when we were home and it smelled just as rancid as the second burger I received. Now I know why he did not eat it. We got there about 10:50 and did not get to pay and leave until 12:23. 1 1/2 hours for absolutely horrible appalling food and service. read more

Went into the restaurant today around 4:00 p.m. Got a half-hearted "yeah" when we asked the manager if the veteran discount was still available. Sat at our table in a near empty restaurant for 20 minutes and never seen a server. As we were leaving ,the same manager saw us and never asked us if there was anything wrong. Could he really think that we were seated, order taken, served, eaten and check given to us all in 20 minutes. We have been here many times before but we will not be back. Terrible service, rude staff. And hardly any of it. A lot of people go to places like Perkins at three AM because they're one of the few 'sit down restaurants' open so late/early. My usual Perkins was closed for carpet cleaning, so we decided to try this one. Never again. When we first got there, the lobby was dark. We thought they were closed, but there were no signs and the door was open, so we went inside. In the dining area, there were only two parties seated, so one would think they would seat the next people quickly. Not the case. We waited fifteen minutes and were not even acknowledged. The waitress on staff looked directly at us and said nothing. We waited a bit longer, giving her the benefit of the doubt. A second group came in after us, and were seated immediately. I told the waitress we'd been waiting for fifteen minutes, and she said 'Well, I'm the only one here." Which is fine, but if that's the case then maybe you could tell the people waiting that you'll be with them in a moment, or you know, acknowledge that they even exist. The party after us had no problem getting seated, but apparently our patronage wasn't good enough. Needless to say, I'll never be going back to this Perkins. My usual Perkins is always fully staffed and pleasant, even at three AM. There's no excuse for the terrible service at this one. If you're in the area, go to the Niles Perkins instead. read more

Perkins is the best, they have been around forever, and they have always maintained a high level of quality and cleanliness. I like their Turkey Dinner, but just about anything is good there. Perkins is always #1 on my list when considering where to go for dinner. For the price, I don't think you could do much better. At this location I have known some of the workers that have been there for almost 30 years, and they are still serving the same high quality food that keeps me coming back. read more
