Great spot for breakfast, and their pancakes are the best in the area! I had breakfast this morning with nine of my friends. We love to come here because the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The restaurant was busy this morning, and yet after our orders were taken by Julie, we were served pretty quickly. The kitchen is adept at putting out quality meals with speed and accuracy. The wait time for this restaurant was a little long and it wasn't very organized on how they call out for an open table, they just mostly have everyone wait in the front. The food was decent it could have been a little more hot for my liking and the eggs didn't have much flavor. I ordered carry out from this location. I ordered the southwest avocado salad, with no avocado. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. The salad includes: grilled chicken, black bean and corn salsa, cheddar cheese, red onion, croutons and crispy tortilla strips. The tortilla strips have a hint of sweet to them which is a perfect mix with all of the savory flavors in the salad. I will definitely order this salad again. read more

The service was absolutely horrible. At first when I ordered a drink this old woman was staring at me giving attitude saying "You can't get that" Because I asked for a small cup because I don't drink all of my soda usually when it's in a larger cup. My server also barely came by to refill our waters so this blonde lady with black disgusting roots came up to my table and gave us utensils and we asked her if we could get some water since our cups were empty and she stares at us and goes "I'm not your server" and walks away. Thats very rude and unprofessional, she could have said she would grab our server because our server hasn't came to our table for about 15 minutes but no she wanted to be rude and walk away with her snarky attitude. This is a great spot for you if you're in the mood for some really delicious pancakes. Aside from this, the experience is pretty standard for a Perkins. The restaurant could definitely use some modern updating, as well as some deep cleaning. It isn't necessarily the cleanest looking place (stains on the carpets, walls, etc.), but it's not awful. The service is okay, really not the best. I don't really come here a lot because there aren't many good healthy options on the menu. I have tried different items here before, but really wasn't amused with anything besides the pancakes, which is the one thing that Perkins does a phenomenal job with. My two star rating is based solely on the food, not by any means the customer service. My party of 6 visited on Saturday night around 6pm. Upon entering, the restaurant was kind of dull. There were about 25 or so other customers dining, and maybe a handful of waitresses. We stood by the hostess station, and waited about 6-7 minutes before anyone greeted us. There was one waitress ringing out a customer, and she is the one who greeted us once she was done. Our group of 6 consisted of 3 toddlers and 3 adults. She took us to a regular sized booth. Us adults looked at each other confused, and asked if we could have a table so were weren't squished. She said "Oh ok, sure". From the moment we were seated, to the time it took our waitress to come was about 10 minutes. When she finally did come, she seemed tired and worn out. We placed our drink order, and when she came back placed our appetizer and meal orders. Overall from the time it took us to receive our food after we ordered was about 45 minutes. We had to ask for our soup, and ask for our appetizers. She said she didn't realize we wanted those first. Huh???! She apologized for the kitchen taking so long with our meals, but this was really bad. She also smelled like smoke when she came back, so she had time to take a smoke break. The food itself was good. We had breakfast as well as dinner meals, and they were all good, but just not worth the wait and bad service. read more

i ordered perkins for delivery, from another service and when i recieved my order, which i payed 60 cents less than $50 to get to me, there were no eating utensils or napkins, which i asked for when i ordered. i called a manager at the store to complain and she became slightly hostile, said she had packed the order herself and kept talking about the straws she put in for my drinks, and she was sure she put in eating utensils (hard to eat eggs with a straw). i don't know what happened at her end but i order out almost every night with delivery in the boardman ohio area and 95% of the time i get no eating utensils unless it's a place i've already complained to about same situation. i thanked her for her time but she forgot to discontinue the call from her end and i could hear her immediately telling who was there with her, that i was saying there was a conspiracy in this area trying to keep utensils from me. what i said was, maybe the restaurants are trying to save money with this practice read more

I've heard it said before, that common sense is no longer common. It seems the same can be said of common decency. While sitting in the restaurant at 5:00 AM, a couple came in and was seated in the booth behind me. During the first sentence of their conversation they managed to drop the F-bomb twice while mixing in a few B and S letter words. Through the twenty or so minutes that they sat there, there were maybe two or three sentences completed without cussing. I'm not a prude, but there are some times when a person should be aware and respectful of the people around them. Evidently, 5 AM at a Perkins isn't one of them. read more

It was late but we were all hungry so we popped into Perkins because they were one of the few places open. The lot was ridiculously full and there was a security guard hanging out outside. When we went inside it was totally empty. I got the beef omelet with hash browns and a pumpkin muffin, the hubby got a french toast platter, and the auntie got chicken noodle soup. She lives here and loves it (best chicken noodle soup in town her words), the omelet was meh with the texture being slightly off (not beefish enough), the hash browns were stellar, the pumpkin muffin was old tasting and dry, and the french toast the hubby loved and devoured in mere minutes. the staff though was super friendly and funny. pretty much comparable to your Denny's read more

We first walked in, it looks like the building hasn't been occupied in some time. It's falling apart, there are booths that are covered in plastic and are trashed. The floors look like they haven't been swept in forever. The lady that took us to sit down, we repeated we wanted a booth four times and she continued to take us to a table until I spoke up and said no we asked for a booth. The ladies that assisted us were rude and not bright. The booth that we were seated in was torn on the seats. The smell from the restrooms was horrible. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. Once we got our food, honestly it was pretty good. It was the best part of being here! It wasn't like the best thing ever but it was better than expected. So my two stars was only for food, service and the condition of the restaurant didn't even deserve a star!!! Definitely won't be going again. read more

Nothing is ever exceptional, but plenty of dishes are decent for basic comfort food. My family and I love it here. We s always get seated promptly, our orders taken as we are ready, food comes in a timely manner, and hot! And they come by to see if we need anything every few minutes. 3 people for breakfast totaled $35 and we barely ate any of the food. I ordered sausage, gravy, and biscuits with hash browns and two pieces of bacon. When my order arrived it was two biscuit sandwiches with a sausage patty and barely any gravy on top. There was some cheese sprinkled on it and all of it was cold. Hash browns with cold, bacon was a cold, and so were the orders given to the other two people. The food was absolutely terrible. Definitely not worth the money we paid. We won't ever go to Perkins again, should have gone to Bob Evans as we usually do. read more

Seems all the other reviewers were from out of town, so here is the local take...if your having a bad day, and want it to be worse, or if you have been experiencing good service at restaurants and need to change that trend, then this is your place. we went there for a late dinner and waited for 5 minutes to get a seat in a 2/3 empty dining room, then were led to kinda dirty booth with ripped seats. drinks came quick, no refills and food still wasn't here *33* minutes later. I got up to pay for drinks while my wife took our very hungry son to the car, and the waitress called the manager over after exclaiming that we were skipping out (while I'm standing at the register). The manager, if you could call her that, made a flimsy excuse about being busy and then proceeded to tell me " i cant cook back there if I'm up here talking to you". no apology, no anything, and TRASHY attitude to boot. This place and its staff leave ALOT to be desired. They need to demolish it and build another mattress store, land fill or 'buy here-pay here' car lot. Those options are better than Perkins. read more
