Came in on Christmas Day and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and full of Christmas Cheer. The food was hot, fresh and very delicious. I had the eggs benedict and my Dad had the full rack of ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the BBQ Sauce was out of this world. We also shared the new Cinnamon rolls and they were just amazing. The place was clean and the restrooms were spotless. I will certainly be back when I am in town visiting family. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Stopped here on our way out of Bismarck on a road trip. Waited about an hour and a half for our breakfast (regular pancakes, potato pancakes and eggs) for eggs for arrive completely undercooked. Didn't want to eat them for fear of getting sick. Both types of pancakes had no flavor. They missed the applesauce on the potato pancakes. Coffee was burnt and vile. Waitress tried her best, but with clearly not enough people working, she was not getting the help she needed. Waited in line to check out, and overheard other people complaining about their food and the service as well. Honestly McDonald's would have been a better breakfast. Avoid this place. read more

My breakfast omelet was excellent. A good portion and well loaded with veggies and meats and cheese. The sausages with it were cooked perfectly and were delicious. That's where the great stuff ends. It was a long wait to get seated, not because there were other people but because the hostess seemed to wander off after seating the folks who came in before me. I was darned close to either seating myself or leaving when another waitress came over and brought me to a table. The same happened at the end when another couple and I just about got tired of waiting to pay. If I'd had cash, I'd have just left it on the counter. Come on, Perkins. Get it together. I have lived in Bismarck for over 5 years and this place always has horrible service, the waiting times to get seated are horrific, it takes an average of 15 minutes to even get your drinks, let alone to get your food they take an eternity. I ordered a banana cream pie for Thanksgiving and it had to be served as a pudding..flavor was ok but the pie had not set up at all. So disappointing when you are serving guests! This location is very busy on a Sunday morning and we had great timing as we were seated immediately...many parties waited for seating while we dined. I had the blueberry pancake platter and husband scarfed down the bacon smasher. We waited a good twenty five minutes for our meal as there were only two servers on that side of the restaurant. We have been to this restaurant several times late at night and every single time the service is dismal. The food is always fantastic so we applaud the cooks but the servers embarrass the establishment. Being a server i understand being busy but when you have 5 tables and one wAlks out because it took over 15 min to even be greeted is unacceptable. After getting our drinks it took another 15 min for him to even take our order. This is not the first time and considering the south Perkins here is always far busier the service is still better. You can count on me never coming here again, as it is extremely frustrating to watch someone struggle over absolutely nothing. What a joke. read more

My first time at Perkins. For a place with such a great reputation, I'm disappointed in the service in which I received at Perkins. After being seated I waited 12 minutes for my water. The hostess realized I wasn't greeted. She takes my drink order. Shortly after, my server Cindy takes my food order. My food comes out perfect. Hot and fresh, exactly what I ordered. After eating a little bit, the waitress passes me and says she will fill up my water. She doesn't fill up my water till 20 minutes later. No kidding! I feel like the waitress was overwhelmed with the amount of people she waited on. The tone she took my order in made me feel like I was another number. I'll give Perkins another chance; however, I'll choose to spend my money elsewhere before I come back to this location. read more
