And the Winner is..... This place. So I travel a lot, and I always try to get a good rib eye, and always let down. I'm very critical of my steak. 2 years ago I came to Bismarck and had bone in ribeye, and bragged since then how it was the best steak to date I've had, even after. Today I'm back, scared to try again, afraid I would lose that legacy, and ruin that perfect moment. Good lawd it happened again. Still the champ, best steak I've ever had. We ordered ahead for pickup. Our order was placed at around 2:30 pm for pickup around 7pm. We received confirmation but no other correspondence. We arrived to get our food and told one of the entrees (shrimp dinner) was not available due to issues on their end. We were not offered any substitute or alternative until inquiring and then offered a refund for the missing meal or another food option which would take additional time to make which we did not have and why we ordered ahead. Addressed with manager due to lack of communication and situation. The manager, a young pregnant lady with dark blonde hair, was, to be blunt, quite rude, and basically threw a meal voucher card at this writer. It was later noted that only HALF of the missing meal was credited back. I will not go back. Very poor customer service and the food we received was not prepared properly and was not hot. Too bad. I've never had this experience with a Texas Roadhouse like this. I feel there needs to be a refresher with the staff at this location on customer service. read more

I am writing to express my frustration with the service my family and I experienced during our recent visit. We placed our name on the waitlist at 2:58 PM for a party of six, including three small children. The hostess, whose name is Trinity, informed us that we were first on the list. Based on that information, we expected to be seated in a reasonable amount of time. However, over the next hour, we watched as three separate groups of six were seated ahead of us. One group, dressed for prom, was even told they were second on the list, yet they were seated within minutes--well before us. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since we had been told we were first. When my husband approached Trinity to politely ask for clarification, she responded in a rude and dismissive manner rather than addressing the situation professionally. Ultimately, we were not seated until 4:15 PM--over an hour after being told we were first in line. Waiting that long with three young children, while watching others bypass us, made the experience even more difficult. Had we been given accurate information about the wait time or treated with courtesy and transparency, we would have made a different decision. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling overlooked and disrespected. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future guests are treated more fairly and with better communication. I can't believe this place has been here for over 20 years and it's still packed to the gills every night. Now there is a reason for that. The steaks are probably the best in town, and if you say medium rare, you get medium rare. Tender, juicy, cooked to perfection. It doesn't get much better than this. The "sides" are also very generous, and the beers are tall and icy. If you're there at the right time, the servers will all join in a line dance when the right song comes around. We went for dinner and didn't know it came with a free floor show. The servers were all very young (you would have to be to serve this many people every night and still be able to smile), but the service was fast accurate, and friendly. It was really a lot of food (too much to have room for dessert), and a great value for the money! read more

Phenomenal service. Our server, Sydney went above and beyond as well as the others who helped her. We had a larger party which included several young children. Sydney ensured we had our delicious rolls right away and took AND filled our drink order immediately. Appetizers were delivered quickly. Kudos to the cooks. Steak cooked to specifications, sides were tasty and warm. Sydney did an amazing job keeping our drinks full and checked on us several times to ensure our meal was to our liking and meeting our needs. The staff went above and beyond to correct a small misunderstanding on one the meals as well as helping us out when the toddler had a mishap. We visit Bismark two to three times a year to visit family for the last 10 plus years. This has always been our go to place our daughters worked her through college. Great food and service has always been provided. This time while visiting I was disappointed to see the owners/Management had lost interest in the up keep of this restaurant. Torn seats from wear, sticky floors, bar area smelly, restroom was uncleaned fixtures are loose. You know when the air conditioning unit goes out there hasn't been regular maintenance service. This is very sad that they don't value their customers or their restaurant to keep it updated and clean. I can only imagine what is not visible to the public. I will look for a restaurant that values their customer and their restaurant until Texas Roadhouse puts some love into their establishment. read more

I am probably being a bit generous giving Texas Roadhouse a 4 out of 5. My wife and I eat here once every 3-4 months. Their beer is ice cold and the food is solid. And we have yet to have anything but good service. They consistently deliver. read more

I come here for the bread and the mashed potatoes (which are home made not instant!). The service is usually pretty good and the place is clean. The food comes out as asked for, I usually choose medium well for my steaks and they always cook it right. They offer a veterans discount, which I think is fabulous! The menu rarely changes. It is a chain restaurant but this Bismarck location is pretty great! Definitely try the mashed potatoes if you ever can't decide on a side. read more

Texas Roadhouse is one of my usual places to go eat when I'm Bismarck. The place is usually busy during dinner hours with an 45 minute wait but if you beat the rush you can get in in 10 minutes. The place is very loud with but it's definitely Texas themed with big animal heads and country icons plaster around the walls. The food took a while but it was all around good. I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin medium and it came cooked perfectly. The sides can be a bit heavy with a steak dinner coming with two sides. The mashed potatoes were standard and the side of corn is well..corn. Overall it's a good family restaurant with tasty food. read more

The food was terrible and the waitress waited a hour to come back to our table and was very bad about drinks my friend got a margarita and there was no tequila in the margarita so we asked for them to remake it and we got charged for two of them. The food was ok but the service was just terrible we had waited 20 minutes for someone to collect our bill and that was after we walked up and to another waitress and asked for our bill to be paid and when I asked for a to-go box i was given the bill instead which upset me very much. Like I said this was my first time and surely will be my last time and on the way on one of the waiters reeked of weed so bad. Will not recommend this play ever again read more

Staff exceptionally friendly (especially for ND) The Chicken Fried Chicken was perfect, the mashed and gravy was fresh and tasty, my wife was not hungry but she was glad the Chile tempted her because it was great!!! I abhor chain restaurants but at the insistence of friends (and against my better judgement), I ate here one regretful evening. It would not be fair to denigrate the flavor of the food (or lack thereof), as these types of places are incapable of understanding that there are seasonings and spices outside of grease, butter, and salt (and even these are abused mercilessly). However, I can sum up my experience by saying the most memorable part of the meal was not the meal itself, but the violent intestinal reaction that was suffered for several days after the visit, no doubt caused by one or all components of my unfortunate dinner. I am glad for the owners that they seem to have many pleased and consistent patrons to poison, because they certainly will not warrant a return visit from anyone in my bloodline. read more

I had 10-oz ribeye and it was one the most tender, flavorful, enjoyable steaks I've ever had. Generously seasoned and Perfectly so. The service was attentive but not pesky. What shows smart service is that the server was right back -- perfect timing -- to ask us if the steaks were done to our liking, within a few bites. The food tastes great, and if you dine in, they rarely make mistakes and are quick to fix it when they do with a smile. They truly aim to please. If you are doing curbside pick-up, don't count on details being correct: wrong salad dressing, wrong sides, missing sides, other people's orders, missing condiments, wrong condiments, and the list goes on. We are not able to dine in yet due to caretaking and contact with high risk people when it comes to COVID-19. We are long time customers of dine in. I really can't figure out why this place is packed night after night. You have to wait a long time to get a table for food that really is mediocre. The buns and cinn. butter are pretty good while they are hot. Once cooled not so much. I had beef tips cooked med. I expected them to be tender and yummy drenched in their gravy. They were over cooked and so hard to chew I was afraid I'd have to discreetly put it in my napkin. The green beans were overcooked and had some fake bacon flavoring added to it. I dislike any type of flavorings added to my food. On a good note, the mashed potatoes were fabulous! The noise level was so high we could hardly visit and when the girls would do their line dance they turned the music up so high that we could just look at each other and smile till it was over. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (even though I almost always order the same thing) the lasting me I came the server was able to talk me into the Ribs which wow are fall off the bone!!!
