I was looking for high quality, prepared food delivery service. I kept bumping into foods made with so much oil, sodium, etc. that my husband & I were getting frustrated. I needed to reduce my time in the kitchen to work on new biz projects, but it wasn't looking like luck was on my side until... When I found Veggie Vibes online, I had to rub my eyes in disbelief. "Is this a too good to be true moment?" We ordered our food, biting our nails, crossing our fingers & toes. "Please let this colorful goodness be real!" I was home for our first delivery & from the moment I saw Perkunas I knew this "ish" was so real! From Perkunas delivering the food himself, to how well packaged & organized everything was, their recycling program for locals & most of all, the phenomenal taste of each piece of art, 5 stars is not enough! I hardly ever write reviews but after finishing my 3 day reset cleanse I have to tell everyone how RAWESOME Veggie Vibes is! This was my first time going raw and I thought it was going to be a struggle for those 3 days. It turned out to be the opposite...I looked forward to every entree and smoothie. Even my junk-food-junkie boyfriend kept asking for more bites from my meals! The food was so tasty that I was thinking "no way is this healthy, it's just too good, I'll probably gain weight after 3 days" but I dropped 3.5 lbs and feel great. Not only is Chef Perkunas a master at a raw food but he is a super cool guy, too! He delivered my food and when I met him outside I accidentally locked myself out of my house...oops! I had the pleasure to go directly to the Veggie Vibes kitchen for a sampling of this week's menu. And like one of the other reviewers, I have sampled food from some of the best raw chefs in the world (Matthew Kenney, Juliano, Chef Ito), and I have to say, Perkunas deserves to be ranked among the absolute best. One of the main ingredients for most raw gourmet food is nuts, and some use quite a bit of salt to get the flavor to pop. But Perkunas has mastered the use mostly fruits and veggies, along with herbs and spices, to make his dishes exceptionally flavor-full! The portion sizes are unusually large for raw gourmet, and yet, my stomach felt completely fine for hours after ingesting what for me was quite a bit of food in one sitting! Perkunas also uses the freshest ingredients possible, sourcing from small, local, organic growers. Something else to take into consideration when deciding whose food you want to put in your body is the energy that the preparer exudes. Perkunas is pure love - love for his craft, his creations, and his customers. I simply cannot wait to try more and more of his masterful cuisine. Five stars all the way :) read more

I feel like I hit the lottery! I always said if I hit the lottery I would hire a personal vegan chef. Chef Perkunas is a gourmet raw vegan chef that has mastered the fine art of balance and mouth watering taste. I have had the delivery service for a little over a month and each dish has never disappointed me. What I found is that one serving is really equal to two servings. Who knew raw food could be filling?! I think the most amazing thing is the ripeness of the produce and fruit...so wonderfully fresh. The use of spices, dressings, and sauces are portioned to accompany the dish perfectly. Every Tuesday (delivery day) I look forward to seeing my box delivered for another taste adventure. I just tried a home delivery from Veggie Vibes for the very first time. The food in my opinion is vastly superior to that of Rawvolution in Santa Monica. Often gourmet raw food can be too rich but this is not the case with Veggie Vibes. The meals were tasty and filling and the presentation was lovely. Chef Perkunas is an artist. I would encourage you to try this service whether you are new to raw foods or someone who has been raw for years. The food combinations are extremely creative and tasty. I am a big fan! read more

I signed up for the 8 meal plan to try this place out. Raw foods to break my tea cleanse sounded right. The service is excellent. I placed my order last minute and received my order in time. Their food is excellent and I would get it more often if it weren't for the overnight shipping charges--they need to find a way to reduce the shipping price. Other services like Urban Remedy will ship over night for less than half the price--other than this I think they are excellent. read more

I am so grateful that I found veggie vibes because Perkunas' food has made my life even better (it's already pretty great). Every Tuesday is so exciting to open my fresh local vegan food for the week. I was sceptical about food delivery being pretentious and expensive and Veggie Vibes is neither. I didn't know anything about raw food before- I was vegan and wanted local- but raw vegan makes me feel even more incredible then being just vegan. The portions are super filling and I've lost a few pounds. Veggie Vibes makes me happier and healthier, I can't recommend this service enough. I found VV searching online. I was impressed by the presentation on their web site, their reviews and the ease ordering. I had a few questions that were answered the same day via email. I received my first RAW (7 days) delivery to my door on Thursday afternoon. The box had a cooler bag with lots of ice packs. I opened the box and took it all out immediately. I was VERY impressed by 1) the presentation of the food 2) label of ingredients 3) the added little note that came after on some of them. As we dug into the meals hour by hour each day, the food was gorgeous, the flavors and taste was amazing and there was always ample sauce and dressings for every meal that I often found myself using them to add to other meals I was making for my kids. Every single item had the most amazing seasoning or sauce! The veggies were all crisp and cut to perfection. I also opted to cook some the raw items as I wanted to. It's like you can decide "Do I want to eat this raw, or do I want to cook it?" - it's that easy. This week, we are trying REVIVE. There is simply nothing better than having amazing varieties of raw vegan food to eat all week long. My only complaint is the use of plastics. And while it's recyclable, I am not a fan of plastic with my food at all. I would have preferred it be in paper or opted in another $50 to use my own storage containers but I realize that is probably a kitchen health issue. Not sure how they can work around not using plastic containers or bags. Other than that, you can tell with Veggie Vibes, someone is passionate and very savvy in the kitchen! read more

Ok So with working 2 jobs and being a single mother to a toddler I just don't have the time to prep good vegan food. I discovered veggie vibes searching on the web. Its Amazing. What a great idea. I get weekly deliveries on Thursday for the week! All vegan and raw. The owner, Perkunas even delivered to me. So far the food and juices are amazing. Its opened the door to the opportunity to be able to give my daughter and I better food which equals better life. If I could give more stars I would. This is a raw food delivery business. When I was faced with Breast Cancer in 2008 I knew as a nurse and now a patient I had to make radical changes in my life that led to getting Cancer, one of those was changing my diet. I was lucky to be working with two women whom always talked about the benefits of raw organic vegan diet. BINGO! Through trial and error I stumbled onto Veggie Vibes this year and they are amazing. Chef Perkunas is a magician with food. He makes going raw a yummy treat. He has an amazing resume and it shows in his creations. His partner Erika is on top of things. For $110/8 meals-more if you want more meals you get a feast. The portions are large and the deserts amazing. I have lost as much as 5 pounds in one week but that's not why I originally went raw. They are part of my health care team. The only downfall is I want to order too much food! I have had experience with some of the best raw food from New York to LA to SF and I must say Chef Perkunas does an impeccable job here for San Diego. This is the first place I wish I could give six stars. I started getting shipments from Veggie Vibes about 4 years ago, but only once or twice a year since I was all the way out in Virginia (high shipping costs). The food was always great, but it's nothing like getting the fresh delivery locally now that I live in SoCal. I have been here for a few weeks, and after the first week, decided to go with the weekly subscription. The portions are generous, everything is super fresh and healthy, and the flavor combinations are unique. My tastebuds never get bored. I can also look at the menu each week and choose things to add or opt out of, replace something with a dessert or two (oh yeah) and I also like that most of their entrees are low-nut. They still manage to make them filling though. The juices and smoothies are also delicious- exotic flavors and creativity are in every dish. I can tell there is a lot of love put into their food. I've had a weekly subscription to Veggie Vibes for 6 months and it's the BEST money I spend all week. The food is outstanding. Consistently eating vegan and gluten-free has reaped enormous rewards physically and cognitively. The service is EXCELLENT. They are wonderful about customizing your order. I live in the LA area. The week's worth of dishes ships from San Diego. My box arrives with everything carefully packaged, well chilled, and the meals last all week. I honestly don't think I'm spending more than I was, purchasing all the wrong foods on my own, and it saves me tons of time as there's no preparation.
