Loved the food, ambience, and large restaurants you aren't bumping into other ppl not cramped. Beautiful hotel!!

Had an amazing experience at Perrine Restaurant in Manhattan! The service was TOP-NOTCH - our waiter went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. I did have a slight mix-up with the charcuterie board (didn't realize it didn't come with cheese and fruits), but the waiter was amazing and quickly hooked me up with a plate of one. They did charge for it, but honestly, I was so happy to get what I wanted to accompany the meat board. It made the experience that much better! They do have a $79 of 2 hour bottomless choice of Bellini, Mimosa or Bloody Mary, but I wasn't in the mood to drink. I was blown away by the beautiful European-style dining room - no wonder it's TikTok famous! Only bummer is it's mainly for catered parties, but they were cool with us taking pictures and videos in it and I heard they are always fine with people doing so :) Parking's a bit of a challenge (of course, it's Manhattan), but there's a parking garage right across the street. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

We had lunch and it was delicious, lobster bisque, branzino with grill veggies and the Pierre hamburger. Dessert was glorious, a big pavlova, beautiful presentation. The waiters are fantastic, Luis and specially Jeffrey with his flamboyant personality we love him. Next time in NYC we'll be eating at Perrine.

Another restaurant week spot. Have you ever wondered what French food with an Indian touch would be like. Well this spot will answer your question. Not going to lie, I was first interested in this spot because of the beautiful decor, with the grand staircase and cloud ceilings. Unfortunately, we were not seated there for dinner. We were seated in the regular dining room, which was still pretty, but ... Not what I expected. The food was good but at this price point, it would be more of a one time thing. We ordered: Complimentary bread (I forgot to take a photo) Appetizer: Coronation Chicken Tuna Tartare Entree: The Pierre Burger Rogan Josh Brazino Dessert: Warm Chocolate Cake Creme Brule

"Something fancy and impressive" was the request from my coworkers and global visitors of my workplace. Perrine was the right choice as it offered traditional French cuisine and satisfactory portions of classic European dishes. I could've gone with other signature New York fine dining establishments but this place has the visuals and food to match it. This restaurant shares its space with a hotel and an accessible stage room, perfect for holiday parties for huge companies. The food itself was fantastic and we came here on a typical weekday lunch time. Very packed but the service was great in catering to the lunch rush crowd. Most of the dishes I ate didn't make it to my camera so I'll describe each in detail. Lobster bisque soup had a great presentation where they showed the blend and poured it from a metallic boat, making sure the bits of lobster meat was nicely decorated on top of my soup bowl. Next was the Branzino because I love a good crisp cut of fish with the grilled skin and buttery meat underneath. It was seasoned well with herbs and garlic cream sauce. I did get the opportunity to take a picture of my strawberry meringue panna cotta. This was one of the best panna cottas I had because the meringue, custard, powdered sugar and fruits were toppled in the right order for the flavors to soak in well. I enjoy a good meringue and this was so much fun to take bit by bit whilst tasting. It was a victory decision for me choosing this place and even better introducing it to my coworkers. Even more now that we have a go-to restaurant when our other global coworkers visit.

I went for my friends birthday as she wanted to celebrate her birthday somewhere upscale with a nice backdrop. There was another room you can reserve but I believe you need to pay 1200 to book, so we just decided to reserve the room after dinner to take photos. We ordered a few things, and all of them came out fine and not bad! We ordered shrimp cocktail, charceuterie board, spaghetti with tomato sauce, steak, escargots, fries and two different salads: Salade Frisée Aux Lardons & Salade Perrine. Amongst the 7 of us we paid around 150 each for all of this including the espresso martinis. I would say the steak and the salads are the only thing I would really come back for while the rest were sort of mid - the steak was cooked very well and pretty yummy and I enjoyed personally the escargots but it wasn't a table favorite. The cocktail shrimp was fresh but not anything to note back on and spaghetti was very very mid. I will say the charcuterie board came with pate that tasted very good and I enjoyed some of the jams and meats on there. The espresso martinis tasted quite funky however came with lots of alcohol so you're getting your 35 dollar hit of alcoholism at least. I think it's way too expensive for the quality you receive here. The free birthday cake they sent was really bad and dry and I ended up not enjoying the fact one of the waiters at the end poked fun at us after we decided to leave by saying xie xie since we're all Asian and the staff laughed about it but we're not all Chinese so I just found this to be inappropriate and rude.

Beautiful location and with great ambiance. Came with my bestie to celebrate our bdays. The food and service was amazing. I had a Caesar salad and filet mignon. I also had the cheesecake for dessert. All amazing. The service was great; our server was very personable and made sure we were well taken care of. She was from DR like us making her extra relatable and She made sure we were taken care of during dinner. The bathroom is even beautiful. Took photos in the beautiful sky room and was not rushed. Will def return

Dined here so we could take pictures in the rotunda. Staff was very friendly, attentive, and hospitable. The menu was decent with several options for different diners. The food execution was safe and fine- not memorable and not bad at all. Maybe it was the low ceilings in the narrow dining space that made me want to rush out. This is a nice spot to dine in if you're in the area and need a break. I found the rotunda a nice warm (because it's indoors) respite as well from the midtown traffic.

Mimosas

The service was very nice. The ambiance was spacious and calm. A very relaxing environment to enjoy Sunday brunch. There two hours of mimosas for $79 is perfect to accompany a slow brunch.

Squid ink pasta

The waiters are super duper nice and very helpful. He gave us multiple recommendations and my favorite is braised short ribs and the squid ink pasta. Food is absolutely delicious. They also have Black truffles that can be topped to any dishes. Dessert is apple pie with butter pecan ice cream. Highly recommended by our server and absolutely delicious. The pie crust just melts inside your mouth. Nice ambiance and perfect for date nights or any special occasions. Also make sure you take some pictures at the foyer, which is located in front of the bathrooms. Definitely a must try place in NYC!

Paneer pasanda

Came by with two friends on a Wed. We had reservations, but at the time the restaurant wasn't too busy - a handful of tables here and there with the overall elegantly quiet atmosphere. We decided to order a few dishes to share family-style. First, we had the crab imperial flatbread. The crab was very tasty and I liked the herbs that added a nice touch. However, I found the flatbread itself to be a bit bland (e.g. the crusts without crab on it in particular were not very tasty). We also had the striped bass which was quite nice. Fish was fresh and well cooked, and the complementary potato addition was a nice textural contrast. Finally, we had the paneer pasanda which was my favourite. I loved the tomato sauce (which I actually ended up using for some of the less-flavoured bites of the flatbread). The cheese itself was a bit hard texturally - difficult to cut but was OK to chew. The finger millet was not to my taste but I think was fine to pair with the paneer. Service was overall very attentive but I did think that the food took abnormally long to come, especially given the relatively small number of other customers at the time. Price point was about as expected, if not a bit lower, which was nice to see. Good experience overall but given the glut of fantastic restaurants in the city I'm not sure if I'm that keen on coming back soon. (Also, we didn't get bread and I didn't realise that that might have been a thing until seeing some of the other reviews here lol)

Chicken kebab - wow! So tender and the chutney was amazing!
Amanda W.

For such a beautiful venue inside the Pierre, I was expecting better. - there is no wine menu, only an extensive cocktail menu with 5 bottles of red wine options (hubby was expecting a larger list) - did not give us bread! Had to ask for it after we received our apps! - no sharing plates! We shared the dishes amongst three people and we used our small bread plates! However, being below expectations, the food was good. Ordered from restaurant week menu - saffron chicken kebab was delicious! The best dish, with an amazing chutney - tuna tartare, fresh and good flavor - branzino - was ok - beef short ribs - really wanted to like this, but was so dry and too sweet, had a heavy caramelized sauce over the ribs, tasted more of a beef jerky - cavatelli - this was good, pasta was Al dente and firm with a meat sauce - warm chocolate cake was good. The cake was so warm with a scoop of ice cream - olive oil cake, pass, note: there is no olive oil! Only "cooked" in olive oil Overall, really wanted to love this place but was below my expectations. Would absolutely come back for the chicken kebab! Others not so much.

Steak Au Poivre

A beautiful French restaurant right on 5th Ave. The staff is friendly and attentive. I had the French Onion Soup which was one of the best I ever had, the best part was it wasn't too salty. My entree was the Steak Au Poivre. Steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was delicious as well. Will certainly look to go here again next time I'm having dinner in the. It's

Ask the Community - Perrine

Is this a good place for drinks (not dinner)?

They have good drinks but I feel like it's more of a place if you wanted dinner AND drinks. I'm not sure if they have a bar area but I'm sure they would seat you at a table and let you order rounds if that was your choice.

Is there a dress code for dinner?

There is definitely no dress code. Men wear shirts jeans sneakers. Ladies casual also. The place is beyond awesome but no requirement or need for suit and tie.

It definitely has the vibe of a speakeasy, especially with the jazz band playing. We went with the brunch special which is $35 for bottomless drinks with the purchase of an entree. It pays off if you're having more than 2 drinks and we made sure we did! Bloody Mary's were excellent! The food here was outstanding. I had the 3 Eggs Any Style and my wife had the Breakfast Flatbread. Those dishes as well as our friends were well made and delicious. We're three young women in the service industry and still felt completely unwelcome--the hostess told us to find our own seating even though the sign said see hostess. The bartender was rude and uninterested, standing 5 min+ at the bar without even being acknowledged. Another staff member was dismissive when closing us out and rolled her eyes when asked to take cash. The overall vibe felt like we weren't wanted, even though it was only around 11 PM. The DJ was underwhelming and the bathroom was vile. The most pleasant part was the below average $20 drinks. For an expensive, well-known spot, this was a very poor experience. Couldn't pay me to return.

EXQUISITE!!! From start to finish, our lunch here was nothing short of perfection…read more Our experience started at the bar. The bartender knew the drinks inside and out and was able to make some good recommendations. We had the Profunda and two of us had the Imprimatura. Creative, thoughtful, balanced! We also ordered spiced nuts and half a dozen oysters, which were fresh and tender. The bar area was modern and lovely so we were almost reluctant to depart when our table was ready! However, that reluctance dissipated when we entered the bright and airy dining room. It felt like we were eating in a very upscale greenhouse! Great natural light made for a relaxing atmosphere. We opted for the 3-course menu as we had plans to tour the museum afterwards and couldn't fathom doing so after the 8-course tasting menu! We also did the add-on wine pairing. Initially, we were going to order a bottle of wine but the wine list is 150 pages long, and why tie yourself to one varietal? Before the meal even began, we enjoyed 2 amuse bouche offerings; a fish confection and jamon serrano on crackers We started with the eggs on eggs on eggs - completely worth the supplement; unctuous, umamai, decadent. A symphony of flavors and textures. Since there were 3 of us, the server thoughtfully brought out 3 toasts so we could easily share. Before the "real" food started arriving, we were also brought a marble loaf and light, airy butter. Two of us started with the chilled lobster starter; one had the white bean cappelletti. The white beans were the standout! The garlic flavor was a beautiful compliment to the meaty morels without being overpowering, and we were very glad for the marble loaf to soak up the sauce! While the lobster was super fresh and the dish executed perfectly, the lemon was a tad overpowering. The bartender highly recommended the chicken; however, two of us opted for the sea trout and one had the pork. I didn't sample the pork, but the sea trout was velvety and rich, with a beautifully scented saffron broth. To finish, we had the dark chocolate cremeux (complex, adult, DANGEROUS!), the yuzu gelato (fresh and tart!) and the deconstructed carrot cake (cozy and familiar). A note about the wine - Isabelle the sommelier was a true standout! She chose some unusual pairings that worked perfectly with our meals and explained in good detail about each wine and why she selected it. In addition to having a perfect pairing, we also got some good educational enrichment. Isabelle is clearly passionate about wine and her selections and service really added to the meal. The Modern was a true treat!

The dinner items are so intriguing. Why did I love it so much? Because it was like art, but also delicious. I can highly recommend the tableside butter service. A giant cart with a mountain of butter is rolled to your area. In the most entertaining way, butter is scooped and prepared on a marble slab then served to you and yours with many little accoutrements. It was way too much for two people, but we loved every bite.
