To make a long story short: Been twice, not impressed. I see reviews with people raving about the nachos, and after having them twice, I question whether or not they get out often. My first visit I ended up getting a sandwich that was missing the bottom piece of bread. The staff [which on both occasions was only the 1 same guy] was nice, but really? My daughter ordered stuffed french toast with bacon. It was supposed to be really nice with whipped cream, and strawberries. The whole nine, right? Came here Friday night for dinner with friends. Not overcrowded, attentive staff. The food was good. We got the crab pretzel and the fried pickles apps, and the sauce with the pickles was zingy! I got the fried scallops and was a little surprised that they were breaded. They were tasty and perfectly cooked. My friend got the seafood platter, it was massive. His wife got the Greek plate with lamb gyro. It was great. The only slight downside was a very loud band started playing, and they were so loud we could barely hold a conversation at that point. We stopped in here one Sunday afternoon during Football season while out running errands. While not intending to stay for the game, we sat in the bar anyway and it was filled with nice fans enjoying their Sunday afternoon. They have a regular "bar food" menu and a Greek Menu as the family who runs it is Greek. There were some really great options and I had the Chicken Athena. It came with a hearty Greek salad to start, and then my entrée was huge! Nice Rice came with the chicken and was a generous portion I took half home. Each day has specials - and Sundays were $4 crushes - which of course I had to try - they were good! Nice spot if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite. My son and I decided to go to dinner since I had a "localflavor" deal that I had purchased at an earlier time. The dining room was empty and we were created by a friendly lady who told us to sit wherever we wanted. We ordered calamari for an appetizer. It was pretty bland but very fresh, tender and hot. My son ordered chicken Chesapeake and I had one of the specials, a 4 oz filet and a crab cake. Both meals were delicious. The food was very fresh and "hot" out of the kitchen. We both just drank water. Our glasses were filled as soon as our drink was half full. Our waiter (I wish I had gotten his name) was very attentive and sincere. This is actually two spots in one. Perry's upstairs and Odies downstairs. Both are kinda unique. Perry's is a bar/resturant that often has live music. If I could rate no starts I would. I ordered lunch through Foodsby and it was the WORSE! I am so upset i spent $13 on it .I ordered the Greek Souvlaki that comes with pita, fries and a small Greek salad; It sounded hopeful. For starters, they put my salad in the SAME CONTAINER as the HOT FOOD! So yes, you guessed it, I had hot wilted lettuce. GROSS. The Fries were wet as well due to the water coming off the salad. The chicken was hard as a rock and the Tzatziki sauce tasted like mayo. Nothing about the dish said Greek. Idk if this normal service they provide of if they need to fire the chef, but whatever it is needs to be corrected! Fast! read more

Nachos. Don't miss out. They are delicious. And occasionally the chips are stale or the chili was just made.... old chili is better but we still go back and we still order the nachos no matter if they've not been perfect before. The burgers... they are really good. Honestly. Crinkle fries. We've also eaten breakfast. It's completely reasonable for the price. We get good service. It's still a bar right? So it's loud sometimes. But the drinks are strong and they keep them coming so soon you are joining in on the loud. If you are a smoker.... they have a little heater on the patio. If you are not and you hate smoking... just don't go out there. The place is what I would call alternatively clean. Not exactly but when the lights are down... who can tell. My complaint would be about the customers. That is my one complaint. We keep pretty much to ourselves when we go in there so I don't know why I want to include this as part of my review... but here's the deal.... the customers are fairly low end. I met a couple of friends here and they were running deals on food and drinks for St. Patrick's Day. The main floor has a formal sit down dining area on one side and on the other is a bar area where a band was playing. When you head on downstairs, there's another bar and a pool table. I did not try their food here but dang the DJ was litty (is this the correct lingo?). I fully appreciate it when the DJ makes me want to get up and dance. That's an A+ in my book. The music was turned up to the point where conversations were of a difficult task, basically telling you to shut up and dance. There isn't a big dance floor but that never really stops anybody. I do have to say it's an older crowd, not the yuppie's scene but if you're in the neighborhood they have pretty good deals throughout the week such as lady's night on Saturday's and karaoke night on Friday's. read more

Friday night is Fajita night at Perry's. So I ordered...FAJITA's of course! For $10 a skillet of Chicken fajita's was delivered to my table in about 15 minutes. The chicken was thoroughly cooked and lightly seasoned. Unfortunately the veggies were still on the raw side yet oppositely, the rice was overcooked. I must have visited at the wrong time. I had a craving for bar food wings. The one thing I can say about them is that they were well sanitized. So overcooked that there was no trace of any coating on the outside probably because they were so dry inside and out. If this is their standard, NEVER ORDER THE WINGS. Hint to the management: don't get such huge wings. I got all drumettes (very disappointing) and they were huge. Wings are an appetizer. Crispy little appetizing bites rolled in butter and seasoning until glazed on the outside and juicy on the inside. It's hard to get that with the prehistoric size of these wings that demand frying and frying and frying. read more

The place is a hole in the wall (and I don't say that disparagingly - hole in the wall spots are often the best), the interior is in need a renovation. The food was good I got a turkey Reuben, chicken gyro (haven't eaten that yet), and the Chesapeake Chicken. The Chesapeake chicken was loaded on top with lump crab meat. This was my first time visiting Perry's. I was interested in the Dollar Crab Night and my daughter wanted a Turkey Club. The staff was very courteous and attentive. Business was booming. It was evident that there are many regular visitors. The staff greeted people by name and gave hugs as people left. My daughter really enjoyed her club sandwich. The crabs were tasty and filling. Okay it's been 2 years since so I went back to Perry's so yesterday as a mini Birthday treat and again this BAR is not for a diverse crowd! From the service to the karaoke music selection it's not diversified. This place is not friendly towards large groups. We are a group of 20-40 each time we've been there. Each time they give us a hard time about trying to save seats for the rest of our group, even when there is no one there. There have been a number of occasions where we were pretty much the only ones there and we always spend plenty of money. They don't have to worry about me showing up again. I almost want to go to three stars here, but I'm not going to. We stopped by for breakfast. It was about 9 am, the place was fairly empty, and it still took us nearly half an hour to get our food out. Here's how it played out: 0 min - go in and seat ourselves. Kid Alert Level at GREEN - they are entranced by the mirrors and the fireplace. 5 min - Tables with regulars getting served. 10 min - Waitress stops by to get drink order (2 coffee, OJ & milk for kids) 11 min - Waitress drops off 2 waters and 1 coffee. Kid Alert Level moves to YELLOW - break out the matchbox cars and attempt to hold the line. 15 min - Waitress drops off OJ and milk, and asks if we're ready to order. Wife asks for her coffee. Waitress immediately disappears to get it without taking food order. 20 min - Waitress brings back coffee and takes food order. 25 min - Kid Alert Level at RED. There's movement all over the place! They're under the tables! Game over, man, game over! 30 minutes - Food comes out. Kid Alert Level drops back to GREEN while they stuff their faces. The food was fine; pretty much what you'd expect. So, not the greatest experience for us. I think one of the big problems was that there was only one waitress (an older Greek-ish lady who seemed very, very pressured). A second waitress showed up later and I'm wondering if they were just temporarily understaffed (although a cook and a waitress should easily be able to handle a crowd of 3 tables!) As always, your mileage may vary. A note -- Perry's does seem to have a flock of regulars. The staff seems to know them all by name and knows what they want to get. That's usually a very good sign for a place and perhaps the 2 star review won't prove out in the future. I just don't think we'll go back. read more

We tried to go there last night for their $1 Crab night. We stood around in the dining room for a while before a 'hostess' took us to a table. We were seated and the lady told us to hurry up and place our order ASAP because they were low on crabs. It was about 720pm and our waitress took our order of a dozen crabs and 3 drinks. She came back 10 minutes later to tell us they were sold out. We said we would stay for something else and looked over the menu. She finally brought over our drinks after our appetizer came out and was almost gone. My water wasn't refilled for about 30 minutes and I had to flag down a different waitress. There was no background noise; music or tv. The other servers/workers were extremely loud talking about personal issues and horse playing around. The food was mediocre at best. The menu had expensive seafood which didn't fit the venue at all. We ordered a ceasar salad, cheese steak and a hamburger; nothing special and fair priced. The condition of the facility felt small and dirty. Our service was bad. I wouldn't recommend this to friends or family. I won't be back; this place has a lot of potential but needs remodeling and better training of the staff. read more

Yes, it's a dive bar. But they have affordable crab and half off bottles of wine on Mondays. So four stars it is. Content overcomes ambience for this diner. That said, don't expect a fancy seafood experience here. Also, the service could.not.be.slower. Just couldn't. My technique is to enter and place order from water to food immediately. You can't enjoy crabs, sold by the half dozen, any faster than a couple hours. I also recommend a side dish like the crab potato skins or the cheesy, crab pretzel. I mean its nothing to write home about BUT. It is adequate (In my 7 of 9 voice). I came here for a Paint Nite event. I rolled up and almost rolled right back out after I almost didnt see any people of color. Look Its not that Im scared of white people. Its just that living in PG county for the past 3 years, I could go a whole week without bumping into a someone of noncolor and Ive gotten comfortable in that zone. Im fleeing the racist south in FL, where Ive been called a n*gger and spat on and live next to neighbors who proudly fly their confederate flag....So Im always extra cautious of being the only black person in a setting. (Think Microaggressions and fetishization) I digress...luckily there was a black couple at the bar and I felt at ease. They have specials for every single night and for Sun it was a $4 orange crush. There are 2 sections to Perry's, the restaurant and the bar. I have never been to the bar, so, I can only give my opinion of the restaurant. That being said, the only good thing I can say is the waitress was very nice and the food was served promptly. Unfortunately, the food was awful. My kids didn't even like it and they will eat anything. It didn't help that the restaurant smelled like a damp basement. The decor (furniture, wall coverings, etc.) were about 30 years out of date. There were stains on the walls and the ceiling tiles were yellow and aged with what appeared to be water stains. We were the only people in the restaurant and I knew why when I was done. read more

Ok so I went here with the crew, per usual, and it was mainly to see our favorite cover band, Oracle! The place was really small and as soon as we walked in we were face to face with the band on the dance floor. The seating areas are limited and the bar is tucked in a corner that is hard to access when there people standing around or sitting in the chairs around it. Now I must say that I had a really good time. I dont know if it was the people I was talking to or the copious amounts of Patron, but we had a good time. The crowd there is a bit older, but we snuck off downstairs where the younger crowd was at a different bar and got our fix. The prices of the drinks are on par with the area and the servers are really nice and accomodating. The decour is a bit outdated but after a few tequilla shots I was not caring. Come here for a good time with local folks. maybe you can catch the Oracle band, or just chill out with some older folks who rock! read more

I was surprised by this place and it was better than I expected it to be. It seems a little bit on the divey side when you drive by but they actually some decent Greek food (which you can eat while listening to Greek music). I had the Greek burger which had a nice hunk of feta on it. I would have added a tomato to it but otherwise it fulfilled my desires for a burger. There is also a large basket of candy at the front that goes beyond the normal selection of Dum Dums (those are there to). Nothing like rounding out my meal with a piece of Tearjerkers gum! read more
