This place has been around for quite some time. Many locals frequent this on a daily basis. It's definitely a pre-game spot on Giants Opening day. The bar tenders are friendly and always spark a conversation with you when sitting at the bar. The food is you American cuisine menu but everything I have ever tried has been delicious and satisfying. Based in the heart of Union street. Cool place to hag out any day of the week.

Super cute, average place with a nice patio. We got the Perry Chardonnay, 2 Cobb salads, a Chopped salad and sweet potatoes fries. Everything was good quality and tasty but it's hard to blow me away with a salad and fries tbh. Would come back if someone else wanted to go here but not dying to go here again.

Chopped salad. It was ok, kind of plain but a good serving. The location is lovely and it was nice to enjoy the outdoor seating. I probably would have ordered a burger or sandwich.

Perry's is a super cute spot on union street. There's lots of indoor seating and outdoor seating too. The theme is cute with a picnic vibe. I got the tomato soup and the Mac and cheese for food. The Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy and the portion size was great. The pasta pieces were slightly undercooked to me though. The tomato soup was decent but maybe could've had more flavor. I also got French fries on the side. I think if I came back I'd try something else and more vegetarian options on the menu would be nice

Lunch for 4 and the meals were very satisfying. Service was excellent. We're all long time customers of both Union & Embarcadero locations and they never fail.

After visiting this location, I can officially say that I have dined at every Perry's location! The food and service remains consistent across all locations, but this one hold a special place in my heart seeing that it is the original restaurant. I came with one other person, and we shared the calamari appetizer, the spinach salad with fried goat cheese, and the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. This was truly a delicious lunch! The portion sizes are large so I was able to take half of my sandwich and fries home. They tasted just as good that night for dinner. Perry's is a San Francisco staple that you must check out!

Perry's is your classic American restaurant and bar. Service on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm was great. No reservations needed. We've been here plenty of times - and it can get really busy past 6pm so if you want to get seated come in around 3-4pm on weekend. You always get complimentary bread sticks with butter, which is just average imo. We usually come in for dinner but this time just came in for apps and drinks. We always get their potato skins which is just sooo good. Crisp bacon, heavy cheese, and potato goodness. Definitely a shareable appetizer since it is very heavy. Got the Garden party cocktail which is similar to a margarita, super refreshing.

Stopped by for a quick drink and a bite. Was greeted immediately by the bartender. He took my order and made a really nice martini with Bombay, well shaken, with a couple of olives and offered me the menu. I was told the chili was a good choice by a close friend and opted for it. I was also served some nice breadsticks and butter. The chili was tasty and had a nice tang. It wasn't too spicy, but hearty and balanced, and totally hit the spot on a cool day.

Perry's is a classic on Union street and my favorite place to grab a quick dinner with friends before a night out. They make the best classics and you can't really go wrong with any of them! Their French onion soup and clam chowder coming piping hot and delicious. Their clam chowder isn't gloopy or overly fishy! Perry's has the best calamari! I love how they use strips and not the O's! The batter is fresh and hot. Also a major shot out to their onion strings that are my absolute favorite. Everything from the kitchen comes out fresh and hot- the way it should be! Service is always great and don't forget to take a matchbox on your way out!

I was craving a great burger and a beer for lunch, and Perry's was just the place! We started with the Grilled Artichoke, which was delicious. However, since it's cut into three pieces, the portions are small. It's easy to share, but I would have preferred it cut in half or left whole. For lunch, I had the Perry's Burger with cheese, avocado, and bacon. That first bite was amazing--it was cooked exactly as I ordered, medium rare. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

We were invited to go to a birthday party today here for a party of 18. It is 53 degrees in the city and we have to sit outside when we had reservations that were booked earlier, not today. I ordered the corned beef hash which was very hard to chew, and lacked flavor. Also, we arrived early and when they told us it was onlgboutside seating, we looked at the seats outside under the awning and assumed that we would be seated there in the empyry seats, but with old grandparents, they still made us wait 15 minutes before the old people in our party could be seated. I was so hungry, but could only eat half of my food because it wasn't very good. So, I ate as much as I could to have enough energy to last the meal, then find another place to eat right after.

Hiden Gem Along Union Street. Their outdoor table is great since we have our Baby Dog in a Stroller with us when we walk in the morning. Got the Eggs Benedict .Magnolia Green Salad and Perry's Burger. We're regulars on Chestnut Street But this place is good to stroll too. Id be Back since we live within the neighborhood...

I remember Perry's from back when I was getting out of college and it was a great fun bar with really good food. I saw the ratings today and ordered up some food to be delivered. I had a mac & cheese and a bowl of chili and a big salad. The food came fairly quickly, which was nice. But when it arrived, the bag that the food was in was wide open. It had not been shut at the restaurant. No staple marks. Inside the bag on top of the mac & cheese and the chili was the box of salad. The mac & cheese and chili were both covered, but the box of salad was wide open from the restaurant, The DoorDash driver carried that bag fully open with my food, fully open exposed tomthe elements. From the kitchen, through the restaurant, walk outside, a motorcycle ride to my place and then past a crowded lobby. There is no way that bag, fully exposed to the elements with my salad inside wide open, was not contaminated. I'm not a germophobe, but I'm also not going to eat a salad that has been fully exposed from one end of San Francisco to another while it's being delivered via a DoorDash driver on a motorcycle. I called Perry's and they tried to assure me that the salad box had been closed and that it must have popped open. I sent them a picture showing that the box had never been shut. You could see where the tab was supposed to go to close it. and the tab was never used. Absolute gross. Poor practice from Perry's. So if you like contaminated food, Perry's is your place to order delivery. This was not a DoorDash issue. This was a Perry's restaurant issue.

The prime rib slices were tender and flavorful, which made the French dip just perfect. Nothing beats a side of crispy fries. The Zanze cheesecake brought back memories. Many years ago, I used to buy cheesecake from Zanze's store in the outer Sunset area. I can't really remember how the original cheesecake tasted, but I was told the Joe got the rights to the recipe and the cheesecake is made in house. It was a good, light and fluffy cheesecake. What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. The outdoor patio is definitely a blast for a summer day in SF, also converting to a free Tango class at 6:30 on Wednesday evening. We started with some special drinks as recommended by Ali, the most generous guy you've ever met. We got Japanese Artisan Gin Pomegranate Mint Martini and AB's Espresso Martini. They were so refreshing after we had to walk on some hills in 80degree weather in SF. After that, the appetizers we ordered came out with Caprese Salad & Mahmoud's Delicious Pork Ribs. The portion was huge for just appetizer. It's been a while for me to have that crispy baguette toasted with olive oil & vinegar, nothing could be better than that. The ribs were tender, the bonus point was definitely the sauce as it wasn't too sweet like the other places. You can't miss pizza in an Italian restaurant, so we ordered my favorite Crispy Prosciutto De Parma, Poached Pear. Prosciutto is my love so I'll just order it wherever I go if they have it on the menu. Super crispy, even though it's not as thin as I expected, I'd still order it again when we come back. It's served with a bowl of cheese powder and chili flakes so you can customize your pizza. The main entrees were definitely pasta and we just had our eyes bigger than our stomach. If you don't know what to order, ask Ali and he'll be more than happy to help you with all the recommendations, and even offer some alternatives for your pasta when the restaurant is not too crowded. My favorite was Pasta Dellacasa with Prawns added, mixing of all the sauces they have. It was so rich and I felt like no other pasta we had can be compared. They serve it hot and you can ask for as much cheese as you want for your pasta because they make it at the table for you. The place was really cool since the building was built over 100 years ago. Even the trees we were sitting next to are over 100 years old, which is pretty cool. You can even find the menu when the original place just opened, with pasta price ranged from $2-3.

I wasn't a fan of how the chicken itself was cooked. not like a regular chicken breast. not sure if it was dark or light meat. but flavors themselves were good. ambiance was really nice. they had indoor and outdoor seating. the service was also quick.

Glad we made a reservation, as I heard the host tell another couple it would be a one hour wait. We were offered our choice of seating and opted for the heated patio which was covered and enclosed and in close proximity to the live music happening outside the venue. The band was talented and entertaining, performing funk and soul, including songs like Ain't No Sunshine (when she's gone) and Lovely Day. Awesome sounds on the trombone, keyboard, bass, guitar, and vocals, courtesy of Daryl Savage Music. The restaurant offers a nice variety of delicious tapas on their menu. We got the arugula salad, crispy paella balls, risotto funghi porchini, albondigas (beef & pork meatballs) which came with toasted baguette slices, and two glasses of sangria (red and white). The beverages were delightful and topped off with plenty of fresh fruit. Each of the dishes were amazing and made with quality ingredients we could really taste. I especially enjoyed the paella balls and risotto. Wow, such distinct flavors that had me addicted. Plating was lovely as well. Also, staff was attentive and professional, and we were pleased with the service we received here. The place is ideal for date night for sure, the setting offering a nice balance of casual and upscale.

I had called ahead to check on the foot traffic and to determine the best time to get there. As they open at 11:30, after speaking with someone over the phone the week before, my wife and I determined the best time to get there was 12:30pm, they don't take reservations for parties of 2. We arrived, saw they already had a wait but were on the list by 12:30pm. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes. No problem. We received the buzzer from them and walked around the block and ended up two restaurants down the street around 12:50pm. At 1:09pm, the buzzer still hadn't gone off and my wife, who went in initially to put us on the list, went back in to check on the status of our table. At the host stand, she heard the manager tell a woman who clearly didn't have a reservation she would be sat in 3 minutes. After hearing that, my wife showed the manager the buzzer we had been given and asked, "So how much longer for us?" The manager replied "It may be another 10 minutes." We then watched them scramble to clear a table and immediately give the table to the woman who had arrived after us. Upon this disappointment we decided to leave because if they can't get something simple like seating guests respectfully right, I can only imagine what else they'll screw up. People don't remember what you do... They remember how you made them feel. As a hospitality professional, not only was this experience totally unavoidable but it left me feeling disrespected and not valued - as a customer; as a person. In being honest, I have to mention that, oddly enough, as I looked around during this disappointment I noticed that everyone seated and being rapidly seated were of one particular ethnic group. Everyone waiting was part of various minority groups which made this incident even more sickening - reinforcing our decision to not only choose to spend our money somewhere else on that day, but to never spend any money there... EVER. I was extremely excited to visit this place and to be shown this kind of treatment further proves that there are still some places that don't want minority dollars so much they simply don't care how they treat you. And unfortunately for them, I'm certainly sharing this experience with as many visitors to the city as I can letting them know "There a MANY fine places to eat in the city... but I'll tell you where NOT to go - unless you feel like being treated like a second-class citizen." Please check in with your personal values before choosing to support this place. Sotto Mare... you all really need to invest in some cultural sensitivity training. It's 2026. Highly disappointed.
