I suppose our parting was a long time coming. I called to refill a Trazodone prescription. Was told…read morethey'd call me back. They did, to ask a question, then said they'd call back again. I already knew this was gonna get fishy. Callbacks happened a couple times until finally they concluded that my dog needs a blood test to refill a Trazodone prescription. What? Since when? She didnt need one in the past. MONEY GRAB ALERT! Totally bogus information. Google it. Dogs dont require a blood test for a Trazodone prescription. Any time the visit was with Guzman, there was always "something we should consider". Take a sample of a bump and send to a lab. Do a full panel of blood test after she already had a clean bill of health (Oh but if you act now, we can get it for a cheaper price). Blood test to refill a prescription. Im sure he has an exclusive contract with the lab and is committed to filling quotas. That's how they work. Additionally, my neighbors had a sick cat last year. They asked me if I knew of a vet. I sent them to Assissi. Neighbors were told the cat needed to stay the night. Next morning, neighbors called to setup picking up the cat. Cat died. Initially was told the cat choked on his own vomit. Neighbors asked why didnt anyone help? They were told that no one stays there overnight. What? Then why did the cat need to stay the night? To make matters worse, they were handed a massive bill...all to have them kill my neighbors cat...from their first visit to Assissi through my recommendation. I was turned off from that story and was thinking of leaving then. Well after this Trazodone BS, we're confirmed to part. I can toss a stone in any direction and hit a vet, there are so many. Money grab tactics will lose in the end. Nothing bad to say about the front desk or the technicians. They were always awesome. Just stay away from their boss. Money grab!

I took my 6 year old English bulldog, Peaches, for an enema due to constipation on 1/15/26. She had…read moreone in August 2025 but needed another again. My husband dropped her off at 8:30AM, I get a text saying she is recovering around 2PM. 15 mins later my husband calls me frantically saying they are doing CPR on Peaches. I'm confused now since I recieved a text saying shes recovering. I call the vet and the receptionist also says they are doing CPR. I ask to speak to the vet, and the vet asks if I would like her to continue CPR. She informed me that have been doing CPR for 25 mins, at this point I realize Peaches is dead and I tell them to stop CPR. I asked why this happened, the vet responds with because shes a brachycephalic dog. My husband works only two blocks from me so we both leave work and head to the vet together. I'm crying my eyes out because Peaches was my first child, my husband is distraught but has to keep it together since we are driving. Peaches had no other health issues besides constipation, she should not have died. We get to the vet, the receptionist says sorry for your loss and points us to a room where they had Peaches body. The vet does not come to us at any point to say she is sorry or to go over the events as to what lead to Peaches untimely death. I shouldn't have lost my little girl. She went in for a simple procedure. This practice has no compassion and its all a money making business. See the attached photos to this review, the text message saying she is recovering (clearly she never recovered so it was misleading), the bill (for the enema which I have no idea if they did and the charge for CPR), and a picture of Peaches. I purchased her from a reputable breeder specifically so that she would not have any breathing issues. So in short, if you plan to take your pet there for a procedure that requires anesthesia, think again. You may leave with a dead body instead.

From the moment we walked in, Lorraine's calming approach is welcoming, which immediately put my senior pup at ease. You can tell that she genuinely cares for my dog. Lorraine did a fantastic job with the puppy cut--it looked perfect and was exactly what I asked for (and he smelled wonderful too). I was especially impressed by the amount of time she spent with my senior Yorkie, she gave him breaks so as not to stress him, which at 19.5 years is important to me (and him). The shop is clean, the pricing is fair, and most importantly, my dog came out happy and stress-free. I highly recommend Lorraine of Raine's Petcare to anyone looking for a groomer who truly cares about animals!

Just wanted to update my review!…read more We adopted two other dogs recently and we're having challenges with their destructive behaviors. One is a Staff mix Pitbul and the other a blue nose Pit. Love them both but they were driving me insane! Donald came and has had several sessions with us. So far we've noticed significant progress! He taught me tips on how to deal with their anxiety and reactivity. I was finally able to take them on a walk without them pulling me. So incredible! Finally, they've stopped destroying the house. This is all a learning process (as he explained) not just for the dogs, but for the owner as well! Forever grateful to Donald!

First I had a consultation visit with Donald to discuss my German Sheppard and Boxer dogs behaviors…read morewhich consisted of them jumping on people as they entered my home, looking to dodge out the front door and yard gate when opened,  being in the way at times,  reactive,  pulling me and barking when walking them which was very stressful and not enjoyable to do.  During that time I was recommended a 9 week program for them. Throughout the 9+ weeks of training with Donald I was taught to teach them skills and commands via video and in person that my dogs were capable of learning and will continue to build on through repetition. Donald's knowledge, expertise and patience has shown me that if you SLOW THINGS DOWN with the dogs it makes it a lot easier to correct their behaviors and more enjoyable to walk them. He us always available for any questions or concerns that I have with my dogs. Thank you for everything! Regards, Leah

I am writing this with an extremely heavy heart and with complete honesty. We brought our dog,…read morePenny, to Planet Pooch twice after her initial trial, and on her second full day of daycare (12/29/25), she was aggressively attacked. Penny is what we jokingly refer to as a "spectator dog." She does not actively play; she prefers to roam, observe, and cuddle with the staff. With that said, her being attacked (photos attached) came as a huge surprise to us. We understand that dogs will be dogs and that they explore and play using their mouths. We are also fully aware that in a daycare environment, minor scratches can happen during play. What we are most upset about is that Planet Pooch either did not see our dog get attacked, which is inexcusable since staff should be supervising the dogs at all times to prevent situations like this, or they did see her get bitten and chose not to take appropriate action. We frequently checked in on Penny while she was at daycare and were repeatedly told that she was fine and that there was nothing to worry about. However, after picking her up at the end of the day and petting her at home, we discovered a large, bloody gash on her neck. The bite was deep enough that the veterinarian stated a separate incision had to be made to open the tissue pocket created by the bite in order to prevent infection and possible abscesses. We are thankful we found the injury when we did, because we cannot fathom the pain and serious consequences this could have led to if left untreated. While Planet Pooch did agree to cover our dog's initial medical expenses (there are additional follow-up visits we will need and pay for), this does not excuse their lack of supervision or their failure to communicate with us so that we could have taken Penny to the emergency vet immediately instead of finding out hours later. We were told that new procedures would be put in place to prevent this from happening again. I sincerely hope that any dog parent who continues to bring their dog to Planet Pooch holds them accountable to ensure these promises are fulfilled, because we will never be bringing our dog back. I cannot recommend this facility to any dog owner. If you do choose to move forward, I strongly suggest being vigilant and thoroughly checking your pet before and after drop-off. I hope Planet Pooch is proactive and treats this as a serious learning experience for the staff and owner. Unfortunately, this came at my dog's expense. I truly hope Penny recovers without any lasting aggression, fear, or trauma caused by this carelessness.
