Stopped by Perseys Place for a late lunch. Coming from Plymonth and heading for Boston-Logan Airport as flying back to Columbus, Ohio, this was on Tuesday, August 14th. Ordered a Reuben on Pumpernickel (out of Rye) along with fries and Cole Slaw. Very good, I would recommend Perseys for the locals and travelers if doing so. Corn Bread also great, waitress offered a coupon for next visit but after finding I was flying back gave me a loaf for the road or flight in this case but if flying remember this little brick style object will be seen when going though security. read more

You guessed it gross Gross gross and expensive Black potatoes Old eggs And they know what they are serving They make mass quantities and if the place isn't busy they just serve it the next day and the next day until it's crawling off your plate Staff nice but hard to engage in conversation. They were quick to try and fix the problem. I feel bad for writing this review but it's sooo damn expensive and is disgusting compared to the Plymouth and Kingston locations. Picture a dark, dreary, and unhappy place. Add meals that are not original nor full of flavor, add a heaping spoonful of waitress who don't give a dam, and top it all off with a cold chill coming from the AC that's all year round, even in winter, and you have this dump. Oh, with free Wi-Fi! I've been here twice during different times of the year and I've unfortunately experienced the same distaste each time. The only people I see here are the elderly bundled up to keep the chill at bay, chatting among themselves as the staff passes them by without a care. Lackluster food gives way to a sudden urge to head towards the bathrooms so I beg you all, plz don't go here unless have a high constitution and plenty of Alka-Seltzer! read more

This place used to be good back in the day! I've given it several chances over the years and each time disappointed. The food is not good. I'm sorry. It's either too salty, too greasy or just cheaply made. Used to love the lobster benedict until they started using instant hollandaise sauce. the coffee tastes like dishwater. The salads are made of wilted bagged lettuce mix. i suspect someone bought this place out years ago and cheapened everything to make a buck. don't believe the hype!! read more

New England's Largest Breakfast Menu is true, and the food is not bad. There is usually a wait, and the tables are small. The restaurant itself is an American diner style setup with the booths or tables, and waitress's running around with pots of coffee. I have eaten here several times and food is consistent and not bad, it is nothing spectacular, but it is not bad either. The blueberry pancakes are a great option, filled with wild blueberries, and are light and delicate, not super heavy. This is a great family restaurant with something on the menu for everyone and then some! read more

We ordered the turkey wrap with fries and a western omelet with home fries and toast. The lettuce on half of my wrap tasted and looked wilted but was otherwise good. The omelet was good, but the toast tasted old and stale and the home fries tasted like they had gone bad. I also ordered a side of "crispy hashbrowns" and when they came out, they looked like shredded, boiled potatoes. They were a far cry from crispy, as they weren't even browned. I didn't touch them but we weren't charged for them either so... Our waitress was fantastic though! Excellent service and decent prices. read more

My daughter and I stopped in for breakfast and immediately fell in love with this place. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, rustic...New England at its best. So why the 2 stars? Because the ambiance is the only thing we liked about this establishment. The food ("Breakfast Panini" for me and "California Benedict" for my daughter) was...meh - bland, sparse, made with absolutely no regard to taste or appearance. The coffee was about the worst cup I ever had, and the service was cool and indifferent. Went there on a busy Sunday. Nice sunny day. The wait was a half hour which is expected for any good breakfast place on the weekend. Ordered corned beef hash very good. The home made bread is outstanding. Overall food very good but pancakes where so so. It took 35 minutes for 3 meals to come out, not sure what happened but not worth waiting for again. read more

A word of warning: A million years ago, I used to work at Persy's Place as a busser. This, my first foray into the world of food service, was extremely disgusting. The owners opened several restaurants across the state -- and it seemed to me they hadn't quite found a way to juggle management and quality control across the board. I'll never forget the time I went to grab some oranges to slice as garnishes for fresh-squeezed juice, and my hand literally sank into the fruit -- it was that rotten. Granted, this experience was years ago, so maybe they've mastered the art of fresh food by now. I'll give them that they make a mean cornbread and all of their sandwiches are served on warm, thick bread made in-house. So, go here at your own risk -- there may be some yummy rewards. read more

Persys has always been a time honored breakfast place which we have enjoyed over the years. This past weekend we went in for breakfast, just two of us and we left with a $46 breakfast bill. To add insult to injury while the waitress was lovely the service was poor in so far as our food was cold and mediocre at best.We still left the waitress a 20% tip as she was doing her best, but what a disappointment... It will be a long time before we decide to go back. read more

Stopped in Percy's yesterday for what use to be the best corned beef sandwich anywhere. Sorry to say we were very disappointed. In the past the bulky roll was stuffed with meat but this time there were 2 small pieces, barely enough to cover the butter soaked roll. Hubby ordered the half sandwich with no Russian dressing and salad. His sandwich didn't have much more meat than mine and was loaded with Russian dressing. He had to pick through his salad and take out all the wilted or brown lettuce as well. We arrived at 1:30 which is a half hour before closing so I guess we got the days leftovers. Won't be returning any time soon. read more

Food was good- big selection. Seated very quickly for a Sunday at 11:30. Server was friendly. Would definitely go again. I got the Hash which I'd only tried at another place 1x before and it was SO bad there, that I was hesitant to try it again. However Percy's has converted me- it was SO GOOD. Also I'm a home-fries addict but 99% of places nowadays totally under season them and they are just bland potatoes, but here they are seasoned very well and actually taste good! This is the breakfast place of breakfast places. I live outside of New England, And nothing pales in comparison to Persey's. The bottomless eggs are absolutely fantastic. The pancakes are always perfect, and the bacon- well obviously. Even if you're only in the mood for a nice bottomless cup of coffee, you've got to stop in. I love the red velvet muffins when they aren't sold out, and the corn bread is off the chain! Every time I've ever been to Persey's, the staff has been super friendly, attentive and helpful however they can be. Whenever I get a chance, I always make a stop in at Persey's place. My favorite is the Middleboro rotary, but I've also been to Plymouth, Buzzards bay/wareham and Kingston, and they were all really great. I haven't ever had a complaint. Every time I have dined here I feel like im being pushed out.. turn and burn service.. there is always a kid running around the restaurant.. Parents need to be told to strap them , or mybe be a parent..! The wait staff should not have to babysit.. while the parents sip on coffee and play the cheesy woiden block games on the table.. 3 stars for the portions.. if only they served Bailey's.. or bloody Mary's.. My girlfriend and I both had their croissant bombs and received our food within 10 minutes of sitting down. Huge portions, a lot of options for sides, and pretty good food. Too much egg on both of our sandwiches, making it a little difficult to eat. Coffee was watery. Pricey. read more

I have been to this location before. I don't recall it standing out as either good or bad. However, today was different. My entire experience was awful. In addition to myself, I had a 4 and 6 year old with me. First I was "greeted" by a waitress who zoomed passed us. She said something but it was inaudible. Another waitress had to tell me to follow her. We were barely sitting when she rushed a drink order out of us. My nephew, who eats everything, immediately spit his eggs out. The pancakes had an overwhelming taste of baking powder or soda and the home fries underwhelmed with a lack of seasoning. The bottomless coffee that cost me 2.69 was never refilled until she came to get my payment. Which occurred after I flagged her down and told her that it was added up incorrectly. I will never go back there. Literally wasted $31 for nothing. I had to leave or order the kids a pizza because none of us ate that food. read more

I've been twice now to Persy's and I kind of have a crush on it. The first time I went I got the healthy quiche and the bottomless cranberry nut coffee was to die for. My bff that suggested we go there also got quiche. We both loved our food and our waitress was super friendly. The second time I went I brought my mom along, I got a greek omelet and my mom got the Monte Cristo Sandwich. The waitress was super fast taking our order and our food came out just as quick too. The only thing that stunk was this time around they weren't as generous refilling our coffee. An added bonus, the pricing is very reasonable. read more

I don't see what the big attraction is. My eggs were not made the way I wanted them, despite my clear request. The fix was not good either. It's not just that, though. I have seen persys in a few different places and I've never stopped in today I was craving breakfast and decided to get out of bed and go get some breakfast I was sat right away and asked for coffee right away I'm usually very picky with my coffee but I gave the caramel nut coffee a try and I had three cups and had to stop myself I had Alyssa and she was attentive and really friendly I had got the the popeye omelette and it was enough to feed two people I couldn't finish it she asked if everything was alright because I ate some but couldn't finish the whole thing she asked if I wanted to take it home it was nothing about the food I just don't do take homes because it sits in the fridge and gets thrown out the food was nice and hot I will be back for another great breakfast read more

Awesome breakfast choices at this place! Went for the first time this morning and chose the California omelet w/ avacado and red onion. I love that you can choose 2 sides other than toast and home fries (I went with hash browns and a perfectly sized pancake...just enough to satify my sweet-breakfast craving). Friends ordered the Cali benedict and Spanish Omelet and a side of biscuits/gravy. Everything was delivered fresh and felt much lighter than a normal breakfast (not greasy at all!). Prices are a little steep for breakfast but the diverse menu and fresh ingredients make it worth it. read more

Made a reservation for 10:30 weeks in advance. Weren't seated until 11:00. Promptly ordered our food and waited an entire hour for our food to come out and my grandmothers food came out ten minutes after all of ours. Her bacon was still raw. The restaurant was extremely busy which is typical of any Persy's. I've eaten at one other in Kingston and I couldn't say enough good things about it. The one in Middleboro however was the exact opposite. The hostess didn't seem pleased that she had to seat us. The table was dirty. It took ten minutes to get a cup of coffee, which was not very good. It was fresh because I could see the coffee station from my seat and should have just gotten it myself, especially since we had a hard time getting any refills. Our order took an hour for eggs and pancakes I ordered the hash and eggs. The eggs were cold and under cooked. The hash was ice cold literally!!! If it had been warm I know it would have been the absolute best hash I had ever had. But taking out of the fridge slapping on the grill for 15 seconds is not "servable" hash in anybody's book. I highly recommend Persy's Place, but this one does not want you coming back....ever! read more

I'm also a bit suprised by some of these reviews. I loooove going out to breakfast. Sometimes I'll choose breakfast over dinner when deciding on weekend plans. Last February, for our anniversary, my husband and I decided to go out to breakfast rather than dinner! That said, I've been to Percy's Place four times over the past 18 months or so and I've enjoyed it each time. Three of my visits were for breakfast, twice with my husband and once with a friend. On the first visit I ordered a traditional breakfast: 2 eggs over easy with toast, bacon, and home fries. It was good, cooked well, and I finished it off. For the other two breakfast visits I ordered the Pancake Sampler which was awesome! You get to chose two pancakes from their list of specialty pancakes (both times I ordered the Chunky Monkey which has chocolate chips, bananas and walnuts and the Cape Codder which had dried cranberries and walnuts), as well as two eggs any style, bacon or sausage, and homefries. The only downside is that I'm a maple syrup purist and they don't serve the real stuff (only place I've found that does is the Cracker Barrel). I've ordered both coffee and tea with my meals. The tea comes with your own mini-teapot that has enough hot water for about two cups and a basket with about a half-dozen tea choices. I only like milk in my tea, not cream/creamers, and they were more than happy to bring me my own carafe of milk for my tea. They also have Splenda which is a must-have for me, too. My husband really likes the range of meals available on the menu and takes advantage of that. One time he ordered the fried catfish meal, another time the breakfast fish cakes. He raved about both of them. I even tried a bite of the fish cakes and they were very tasty. I don't remember what else he ordered. My friend Jen ordered the Eggs Benedict and, oh my gosh, what a plate! She couldn't finish much of the plate as it was loaded with two English muffin halves, ham slices, poached eggs, the sauce, and hash browns! She really enjoyed it as well. One time we did visit for lunch. I got the Reuban with french fries -so good! I love a good Reuban and this one did not dissapoint! I do recommend Percy's Place. The decor is a little 'cluttered country' and doesn't appeal very much to me, but it's clean and big (never had to wait more than 10 minutes). They have little games to play on the table - my husband and I always compete and I always win! :) I also enjoy that although there are a few locations in Southeast MA, it's family owned, not a big corporation. I also find the prices to be very reasonable. Oh yea, you also get a coupon for a free 1/2 loaf of their homemade cornbread with every visit. So everytime we go there now, we go home with a little loaf of cornbread that we both enjoy at home, heated with a little warm butter, for a nice treat. read more
