I was invited by some relatives for late lunch and even at 2pm, the place was packed so I already knew it had to be good. It was also intimate with chic decor and vibrant accents pieces so very fun and Instagram worthy decor happening here. As far as food goes, the servers were friendly enough to help me navigate the menu and land on the seafood options. I had the Arroz con Mariscos and it was presented beautifully, was sizable, and most importantly had incredible flavor. The calamari was a highlight of the dish. It was cooked perfectly. My family enjoyed their food as well and cleared their plates. Though I can't recall what they ordered, I know it was delicious. I stole bites. The plantain side dish also stands out in my mind as a must! I don't live particularly close by and it was a hike coming out but I have it book marked for a future pop in!

At that point, the server's tone became noticeably confrontational and he insisted that what had been served was the sauce I was describing. The interaction became uncomfortable, and the server continued to give us what felt like dirty looks for the remainder of our visit. The situation left us feeling unwelcome and ultimately made us want to leave. The taste was good, but they are not the peruvian makis I have tried for years in Peru. This was something different, but still good. The tacu tacu with lomo saltado, though. It was really good. I liked when it comes with a tick sauce instead of just water. The tacu tacu may have needed to get crispy a little bit, but the flavor was amazing.
