Recently visited the new Amazon HQ location for an opening reception. The space is quaint and clean with a beautiful handpainted mural on the wall. The front facing windows bring so much light into the space and the seating near the windows makes for great people watching. The restaurant is known for its empanadas which are great and I tried the quinoa salad (light and left a little to be desired), chicharron sandwich (good), ceviche (light and flavorful), fried plantains (good!) and the yummy pico sour. I would definitely visit for lunch while enjoying National Landing area and can provide a more comprehensive menu review on my next visit! You can order for pickup or eat inside.

    Prove of my purchase!!!

very dissapounted of peruvian chicken!!!! please make sure before you buy. definitely nando's is the best, since their flavor is not a peruvian taste!!! a lot of cumin and "aji especial" ceviche taste like socking onion on fake lemon juice!!!! better go to pisco and nazca o somewhere. very sad the brand name doesn't taste as peruvian at all!!!! the sauce is full of mayo as well thats not oeruvian sauce atemoanathe emempanada the pastry is the only thing good and yuka. sluslushie pisco sour bad chicha morada full of water and sugar nothing taste as chchicha

Quick stop to try out this empanada spot. Will they be better than Julia's empanadas? Stay tuned for my review.

Ok so I really do hate to compare empanda to emoanada but...I'm gonna do it anyway. And I'm gonna use my all time favorite DC empanada spot, Julia's Empanadas as my litmus test. This way, you know why my review sounds the way it probably will. Idk vuz I haven't written it yet. Here it goes... It's alright. Yeah...the bread is tasty and has that flaky buttery texture. But I tried the 2 for $10 deal and got the beef and chicken empanada with a Truly blueberry & acai hard cider. (The 12 mile bike ride home will be fun) I really had high hopes since the previous reviews gave it 4 stars and there were other people sitting outside to enjoy the good and amazing 84 degree weather. But...the chicken was dry. There. I said it. If it wasn't for the lime and the sauce...I might have choked on it. The beef made up for the chicken because it wasn't as dry and had a nice flavor. They were pretty much all meat and seasoning. Very little to no veggies. So, if you're a ravaging carnivore empanada eater then enjoy! Get a drink cuz it's dry like most chicken can be when over cooked. These are pre-made and sitting in a glass surround heater. So.. they'll most likely be dry any time of the day. I had mine for dinner at 530p. I'm glad I tried it cuz I needed a little fuel to get me home. But...might just have to try their other menu items like the cevice. Oh...and the mosquitoes are a problem. Please Arlington...do something about the mosquitoes. Ever heard of West Nile? Signing off.

The best Peruvian food around! My favorite is the empanadas--they're amazing! Plenty of great options for vegetarians too!

Ceviche was so fresh! Lomo Saltado tasted like it was made in Lima. Empanadas were also so delicious.

A hidden gem in the parking lot of Home Depot…read more If you want to try something different and very fresh for a food truck type of atmosphere, this is it. The menu is not your typical hot dog stand as you can get burgers, cheesesteaks, and a variety of sides and other items. Depending on when you stop by, there could be a line and the food is made fresh, so the wait might be longer than expected. However, the food is really good. I plan to stop by again soon to try other menu items.

We ordered two burgers -- the classic smash burger (lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese) and the BBQ bacon burger (grilled onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce) -- along with their famous cheesesteak combo. The cheesesteak came loaded with lettuce, jalapeños, tomato, and steak infused with peppers and onions, topped with Marky's-style cheese, plus seasoned fries and a soda. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't recommend this place enough -- especially knowing they're part of our local community. I've walked past this gem so many times without realizing what I was missing! It's tucked away in the Home Depot parking lot on Little River Turnpike, so don't sleep on it. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the entire menu.

Eh decent empanadas if you're hungry, but keep your expectations low. The texture was pretty crispy…read moreat the ends but soft in the middle and quite dry too. I tried the following: - Classic chicken - dry. Portion is filling but not very enjoyable. - Ham & cheese - horrible. Just horrible. Never ever get this. Ham was all ground up (not in chunks) and blended with cheese, and it just looked (and tasted) so unappealing... - Spinach and cheese - best of the three, but as you can see, the bar was set very low. Service was good and friendly though.

I will bias my rating by saying my 5* go to empanada place has moved out of my local sphere so I'm on the hunt for a good place to go. I've seen this place before but never tried it so gave it a shot in the mid-AM hour. Not sure about hour or they have it all the time but they had breakfast empanadas available in their savory selection. Me and SO got a Bacon Egg and Cheese, 2 creamed spinich, ham and cheese, guava and ehese and a spicy chicken. SO said the guava was the best. The cashier said it was the last one and we were lucky but given it was the AM to me that meant they may not have necessarily what you want, be ready for that. Of the bacon egg, ham and spinich, only the spinich was good IMO. The other two were super dry and not good. I came away feeling not hungry but not full. *Without any drinks* the total came to $46.61. You may think that's just airport costs (and may be right) but at another airport later in the trip we got Jimmy Johns: large sub, regular sub and 1 drink for less than $40. I could not finish my large sub and had it for a subsequent meal. Anyway, I see several other mentions and pictures of sauce, we didn't get any of that and they didn't offer (aside or upsell), not sure if that's a new thing or just totally missed us. So my review is for empanadas only. My summary is if you need a quick snack to tide you, this may be a good place. But for the price and for the quality, I wouldn't recommend it and probably would not go back. There are plenty of other places not only B terminal but through the airport to go. Definitely don't go to the airport just for this ;) That said, the 'restaurant' was only serving breakfast so was nice to have a diverse option.
