A good find in a remote area Just 25 min outside of Zion West entrance. The portions were generous. The mini arepa appetizer was filled with chicken, cheese, and shredded beef. The fried rice chufa was packed with chicken and pork. The lomo solado was good but the sauce was way too salty and needed a bigger serving of rice to complement it. Overall a good meal. read more

My goodness, this Peruvian restaurant was the perfect stop after a long day at Zion. Loved the peaceful atmosphere and traditional decor. It was empty when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night in March. The food was amazing, very flavorful, incredibly well seasoned, and most of all tasted very homemade but also top tier restaurant quality. Food came out quick and the service was great. I got the arroz con pollo. Wow the rice was so delicious, best part of that dish. And my favorite dish I got, the causa rellena. The mashed potatoes were soft, the chicken and vegetables in between were so fresh and balanced the entire dish. Literally heaven. You need to get the causa rellena. Overall, a very authentic spot full of character and culture. Must support this small local business please!!! I will definitely come here again the next time I'm nearby. read more

Fantastic meal in Hurricane, probably our favorite during several days in the area of Zion National Park. Very reasonably priced. Everything we tried was good: limo Salgado, chicken Milanesa, another steak dish with beans and plantains, and the chicha Miranda drink. Friendly and helpful staff made up of a family. When you order they disappeared into the kitchen and made the food fresh. It was ready within 15 minutes. Theres a good amount of seating and it feels, clean, bright, spacious, and cool. I was surprised to find a small family owned Peruvian restaurants with limited English in this area steps from our airbnb and on top of that very vegan and vegetarian friendly. An awesome casual spot post hike at Zion NP that makes you feel like you are out of the country. The food was very flavorful and they are very vegan/ vegetarian friendly. The Causa a la limeña vegana and the beans were our favorites. Make sure to ask for the delicious homemade spicy sauce. read more

Lovely restaurant with a lovely owner! The lady was sweet and patient as we figured out what to order. All the food was delicious and flavorful, my favorite being the breaded fish. We ordered a breaded fish, arepa with chicken and avocado, chicken lomo saltado and beef lomo saltado. Not everything on the menu was available which was understandable, since it seemed like only the lady was working. we were the only ones when we came in but people trickled in soon after. The restaurant is a quaint little place. The lady taking my order was very friendly and eager to help. I was in the mood for chicken. She suggested the Milanesa de Pollo and it was delicious. This restaurant was absolutely terrible. If I could give in a zero star I would. I online ordered 2 Reina Pepiada Arepas (Avocado, Mayo, and chicken). I received one burnt shredded beef Arepas but was charged for two. It was a dry, chewy, mostly flavorless maize pocket with some meat in it. A Burger King plain hamburger with no toppings would have tasted better - and I don't eat fast food. I also ordered a Spinach and cheese empanada. That was undercooked with the maize breading partially raw, and the cheese cold. No spinach was in the spinach and cheese empanada. I am not used to eating empanadas or arepas with no sauce. What I received was dry and flavorless. I ordered two items to-go and both were borderline inedible and incomplete - I ordered two arepas and received one incorrect item, the wrong quantity, and burnt, and the other half of the order was undercooked flavorless and missing ingredients. ( Think a under-cooked maize flour and water batter (nothing else) with a chunk of uncooked queso fresco in the middle. Yum! Add in that I only received 2/3rds of my order and the owner expected me to speak Spanish ( I don't) and basically did not want to bring me my order until I spoke Spanish. I ended up pointing at the things I ordered and she finally brought them - 5 minutes elapsed This was a Tuesday evening - they were not busy. One table in the entire restaurant had customers. One couple was in front of me at the counter. They waited ten minutes to order. It took me five minutes to get my order. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE read more
