BYOB There was a birthday party happening when we came. If you reserve ahead of time I think this would be a good place for a birthday, except you have to figure out the music because there wasn't a DJ. There is space for dancing and pictures. The food was really good! The also have fresh juices. No issues with the service.

One of the restaurants that was open after 8pm in the area - was seated immediately and had very friendly service. Absolutely delicious Peruvian food. Wide range of options for food and drink.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and the food was fresh and amazing. This restaurant is very festive and is a small family owned business in the middle of the Union center area. I ordered the fried red snapper with rice and onion salad, Which was delicious! The owner of the restaurant is very pleasant and tries to please her customers .. There is street parking in the front of the restaurant and a parking lot in the back of the restaurant .

Went here for a late night bite, the food was just okay. I appreciated the quick service and hospitality. The interior is small to medium sized but, wasn't overly crowded.

The food is very delicious and fresh. We highly recommend lomo saltado and bistec a lo pobre. Also the Yuca a la Huncaina is delicious !

Tried their food at an event, the chaufa and carnitas were so good. Definitely get the flan for dessert! The owner was very nice as well.

Recently I had a hankering for a Rotisserie chicken and some Maduros so I decided to make a special trip. Pasion has its own parking lot (but I wound up parking in the Dollar Tree lot next door since I went shopping there too). Pasion is not the...most elegant looking restaurant. It looks rather old and aged (I do not know what year it actually opened). It's also oddly dim inside. Most of the interior is dedicated to seating and the counter where you order is towards the back. There is a bathroom off to the side. I ordered my food from a very nice lady and it came out rather quickly. When I got home I was surprised to find the chicken cut in a rather...rustic fashion. I'm used to rotisserie chickens cut into four, equal sized pieces but this was cut up into six pieces of varying sizes. Sadly, the chicken was rather dry but the green sauce that came with it was super tasty and spicy so dipping it into the sauce helped a lot. The Maduros were...not great. They had a bit of an oily taste to them that I've never tasted in Maduros before. It wasn't very pleasant. Based on other reviews here this place seems to have its fans and that's cool. This is a mom and pop business and I believe in supporting local businesses. I'm glad I tried this place, but I likely won't be gong back.

Great environment, lots of food portion for the price and good service!…read more We had a layover and wanted to eat good food and saw this restaurant on Yelp. Decided to try it and when we arrived it was empty with street parking. It was a Tuesday night and pretty cold which is why I'm guessing no one was there. Lots of seating options, bathrooms were clean and they had a big screen of music playing. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders and food orders right away. We got the chicken and anticuchos along with chicha morada. Food came out fast and the plates were huge. Waitress was very attentive and brought out all the sauces, extra napkins and was on sight in case we needed anything. Food was great, cooked how we asked for it and potatoes were not burnt. I was happy with my order and experience and recommend this place.

As the name suggests, they specialize in pollo a la brasa, rotisserie chicken cooked over charcoal, typically accompanied with fresh cut french fries and salad. In addition, they offer daily specials, and a full a la carte menu. Perhaps most importantly, this is a place that cares about its sauce selection. You'll feel like a true painter armed with the plate as your palette. When I received my meal, the waitress even double-checked to make sure all the sauces were all full. Their chicken comes with 3 sauces (also called cremas or aji): - the yellow sauce - huancaina - the green sauce - aji verde - the brown/reddish - olive sauce, salsa de aceituna

Peru is much more than just Machu Picchu and other archaeological sites. It's a country where its…read morerich culture also shines through its internationally acclaimed exquisite cuisine, which has only recently exploded onto the international culinary stage. It is among the most generous and deeply rooted, with traditions reaching back to the Incas, a wealth of beautiful indigenous ingredients and culinary influences from Spain, Japan, Italy, Africa and China. Jersey is home to a wealth of Peruvian restaurants, found largely in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. Passaic itself is home to the largest Peruvian immigrant population in the Garden State. Like food everywhere today, there is a new style of Peruvian cuisine emerging--so-called nueva comida--forged by Lima's leading chefs like Gaston Acurio and Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. Situated on a busy N Wood Avenue in Linden, some of my colleagues came to this establishment for lunch after a three-year hiatus. A reservation was made by calling into Stancia Peruvian Fusion Restaurant. Upon arrival, our table was ready inside a modern, well-decorated space with music blasting like a lounge to evoke a summer celebratory vibe. The menu is a bit fancier than other Peruvian eateries. We began with a jar of their homemade drink, Chicha Morada, made of purple corn, pineapple, lime, cinnamon and cloves described as fruity and tangy. As appetizers to share, we decided on Piqueo Stancia, Chalaquitas de Scallops, Calamar Frito, and Mini Papas-Rellenas. As the main dish, we opted for Pescado A Lo Macho (Corvina), Quinoa Chaufa with Scallops, Tacu Tacu con Lomo Saltado, Quinoa Chaufa with Shrimps, Quinoa Chaufa with Salmon, Tacu Tacu with Chicken, Pachamanca, and Arroz Chaufa de Pollo. Complimentary roasted corn accompanied the aji verde spicy hot green sauce that started our meal. Each dish is a work of art, not just in presentation but in the authentic flavor not too overpowering, it remained exquisite with a sizeable portion. This restaurant continues to impress us every time with their consistency and good customer service. Stancia has incredible food and a beautiful space, two things many restaurants struggle to get right. All boxes checked.

The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptional as always, 5/5 stars. The atmosphere is always nice, well decorated and they usually have live music (though this Sunday I went w my mom and sister they didn't). We loved everything! In my opinion, they serve a good amount per dish, medium to large portions- but not plates overflowing with food like many other Peruvian restaurants- that's what I love about here. Their ceviche is hands-down the best around the area, always fresh and tasty! I'm def coming back. FYI, parking is a bit of a hassle...
