Saturday August 8, 2026. Returning to Buffalo, NY from Churchville, we took route 5 out of Batavia. I am so glad I didn't do the usual 33 because I discovered Pesci's Pizza on the cusp of Clarence and Williamsville. Going through some of the smaller towns, we were watching for pizza places to stop for take home. Often not spotted before passing, I decided I wanted a place seen early enough to obviate turning around. Shortly before Transit Rd, daughter said "There's Pesci's!" pointing to my left. I said "I like Joe Pesci," checked mirrors and swung into the left turn lane. Kismet. First thing to notice as I pulled into a parking slot in front of the business was how busy they were. A good sign. The entry door is between ... two storefronts? on the left is Pesci's Pizza & Wings, lots of smaller signs for specials and notes of interest. On the right... all clear glass window where you can watch all these people making pizzas. After we'd gone in and placed orders... and noticed how young the cashier and order taker were... we went back to wait in car-- only then noticing how young all the pizza makers were. I experienced the sensation of watching an ant farm in action. That sounds silly now, but I was stunned watching how each person had their function, how they operated as a team, how efficient and productive the overall operation appeared. After I got home and had a chance to examine the box and its contents (which, btw, was one of the best pizzas ever), I saw how they had messages all over the box, no wasted space. Pesci's was apparently started by "two yutes," possibly from Brooklyn? Google suggested a "yute" was slang for "youth." Ahhh. Well, alla dem yutes make some bodacious pizza. Next time I'm returnng to Buffalo from the east, I'm taking Rt 5. read more

Still lovin' my Pesci's after all these years. I've moved a little further away, and I'm out of the delivery range. There are no comparable pizzas close to where I live. So, when I'm out and about and in the mood for a pie, I always stop by for the slice special. Today I stopped and ordered a double cheese and mushroom small pie to take home. I really enjoy the pizza here and a good judge of pizza is if it is also good cold the next day and this one definitely is! It's convenient to order online and you get updates on the order when it's ready. It's also ready way quicker than most places. The pizza is always good but the few times I've tried the subs, they were just ok.... Nothing special and a little pricey. And also the hawk tuah should be retired. It's not good and that trend is over. Oh and pleaaaaassse can they stop serving Ken's and make their own blue cheese?!!! read more

You gotta love any place that proudly represents their local sports team on their boxes. These boxes couldn't have been cheap! Allot of the Lancaster/Depew locals have told me I have to try the pizza here and I'm very happy for the suggestion as I continue the search for my favorite slices. The slices here are average prices but you do get the option of pepperoni, just cheese, or two specialty slices. Today I got the chicken finger slice and just cheese slice. I don't typically love chicken finger pizza but darn this was GOOD with the blue cheese crust, lots of cheesy goodness. Would have been perfect with spicy hot sauce on the fingers! Definitely a messy slice though... Took one bite and 3 dollups of the sauce ended up on my shirt instantly. Oops! The just cheese slice was equally as good. Was in the area so decided to try this place again. Ordered online and picked it up. I've had it before, but it was years ago and I can't remember how it was. We ordered fingers and a turkey sub. The total was about $48 and when I saw the food I was annoyed. I know prices have gone up for everything but, it wasn't worth $48 at all. Flew all the way from California for the Bills game and stopped in at this awesome place. The girls behind the counter were super sweet and welcoming. The owner noticed that my family and I strolled in with our suitcases and the owner came out and wanted to know our story and we got to know his as well. My girlfriend and I got the Medium 10pc wing and a small all meat pizza and it was to die for! I am a wing connoisseur and knew I had to get some in Buffalo and was very satisfied. Since I had their chicken finger pizza already, I had to try a more "traditional" style pizza from Pesci's and, all-in-all, it was fine. I ordered a small (12", six slice) cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, and hot pepper (banana peppers) pizza. The first thing I noticed was the lack of flavor the red sauce had, at least to me. I really couldn't tell if it was more of the sweet style accustomed to Buffalo pizza or a traditional, NY style. It just didn't seem to have much sauce on it. But there were plenty of mushrooms and banana peppers and a healthy amount of cheese, to the point where each slice folded under the weight of the toppings! The crust had a good chew and flavor to it. Overall, a pretty good pizza. If I were entertaining friends from out of town and they wanted an authentic Buffalo pizza, I would not go to Pesci's, but they are a good, affordable alternative! read more

Wow!! What an amazing gem that we came accross. We really enjoyed the pizza. We opted to get the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and cheese and pepperoni. It was very good. REALLY Cheesy pizza. I had the two slice and a soda lunch deal. Decent value. The pizza was almost like "pan pizza". I prefer NY style thin crust, but this was very good. I would definitely come here again ( just visiting the area today). As for COVID provisions, the staff was on top of it. They had a system to help keep you safe. read more

Excellent pizza! I have tried this place in the past but I haven't lived near this establishment in a while so I never ate there. Well I recently moved to Lancaster NY so this is nearby. I decided to try it after work on a Friday night and they did not disappoint. Ordering was easy....I just called for a pick up. I do believe they have delivery but I'm not sure of the cost or wait times. My order was ready when I got there within 20 minutes. The pizza was delicious. The crust was the right thickness and it was super cheesy and saucy, just how I like it. The pepperoni was tasty and they use the cup and char type so it traps all the grease and crisps up on the outside, so good! Overall this place has 5 stars. I don't have anything bad to say about them and I would definitely return. I'm rather sure that they have specials on pizzas throughout the week and they also sell pizza by the slice! read more

I ordered a pizza through Uber eats, which I had done many times in the past. This time the pizza was undercooked and doughy. I called the restaurant and talk to the manager who called the owner but they refused to correct the order because it was Uber eats. I'm pretty sure Uber eats did not cook the pizza. read more

I really wanted to like this pizzeria but I just can't. I ordered a GF Pizza which looked delicious when I opened the box but it was not delicious eating it. My wife is a nurse at a local hospital and Thursday she order pizza and wings for her floor. She gave very specific details on what floor to call and deliver. They delivered it to the wrong floor and called the wrong number. They drop it off to whatever was convienient for the dude who delivered it. They never got the order and a different floor ate it. Not at all like I remember when I lived in Buffalo 6 years ago. Their pizza crust was doughy and slightly undercooked, the sauce was almost nonexistent, and if seems like kids are now running the restaurant. Sad to see this hometown favorite go down on flames. Poor consumer service. The food tasted kinda funny and tried to talk to the manager and express my concerns. He did not want to assist me at all. He is extremely rude and full of excuses instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and get solutions to the problem. I will never come here again in life. I do not recommend this place at all.
