I was working on rebuilding my shad, after took down the plywood wall, found out a lot ants, initially thought if I had termites infestation, called Pest control northwest, Trey answered my call, and spending 20+ mins to help me determine they type of ants that I have( it was moisture ant); he is extremely knowledgeable on this field as well as provided me a free termite class 101, I really appreciate the knowledge as well as the honesty! We invited Trey out to inspect for rats. As others have said, he is super knowledgeable and did a thorough inspection. He provided great feedback about our space and made a great plan for the work to keep the rats out. The initial inspection was really expensive, but it felt like an investment in the solution. And then, he never came back. He wouldn't schedule us and just kept sending me emails saying "I'm trying to get out there this week....." and then would ghost us for two weeks. I worked patiently and kindly with him, waiting for two months. I let him know that I really needed him to come out and do the work we invested in or we'd have to find another pest control expert. I got tired of begging him to come out and realized that if we needed any follow up work ever, it would be the same situation. Finally I just had to accept that I got scammed and spent $800 for someone to come in and tell me we have rats in our crawl space, which we already knew. When I let him know we'd have to use another company so we could actually solve our rat problem, he was really happy to let us walk away. If you just want a free phone consultation, this is your guy, but don't invite him to spend 2 hours crawling around only to never show up again to actually do the work he promises. read more

While we appreciate Trey coming out on short notice, the final bill ended up being way over the estimate given. He assured us that he would return free of charge if we continued to have yellow jacket problems. I have called and emailed trying to get a follow up visit and have heard nothing for weeks. I had a bee hive in my dining room ceiling. After trying to get a bee removal service in, I found out I had yellow jackets and needed an exterminator. Trey was fantastic. He explained the issues, likelihood of problems, costs, and expenses very well. While he was super-late for our appointment, he was helping someone else with a critter crisis and it's totally understandable. He made it to our house at 7:30 PM and at 10:30 PM my two foot long, three inch high hive was gone, and everything was clean and back to normal. I contacted Trey at Pest Control Northwest with an enquiry about old wasp nests found inside a wall. Not only did he give me the advice for free his recommendations generated no paid work for him at all. Let me first preface by saying I didn't have any services done, but I was so blown away by their incredible service on the phone I couldn't help but write a review. The gentleman I spoke with was the owner and when I asked about flea treatment he said, I would love to help but I am completely booked. He then proceeded to take the time to find out more about my needs to refer me somewhere. He was the most personable, friendly gentleman and I could tell so honest. The fact that he was so busy but still took the time to help me, and even contemplated how he could help, was service that is few and far between nowadays. I would have gladly waited any amount of time for him if I wasn't moving out of the area. Trey was our superhero / wizard/ guru of the day. Our house has been involuntarily welcoming what is called the "orchard mason bee" - described by trey, which was exactly the same as the ones we ve been finding in our rooms. Instead of my initial expectation of setting up an appointment for him to come out, he literally walked us through EVERYTHING you need to know about these bees and how to "cope" with them, as they are great early pollinators and they are really docile and low risk insects. I have called Trey Shelton of Pest Control Northwest twice when I was freaking out (the first time, carpenter ants. The second, termites.) He has answered the phone personally each time and given me incredibly sage advice and calmed me down before I took a flamethrower to the entire house in an effort to rid myself of the pests. The second time, rather than have me spend money (that I don't have) for him to come out, he listened to my story, asked insightful questions, then advised a wait and see approach. Again, talking me off the ledge, he did not try to sell me services I don't need. That's a kind of integrity you just don't see from many businesses these days, large or small. We found out on a Saturday night that we had a nest of yellow jackets in our attic and they actually chewed through the drywall and were coming into the laundry room. I started calling exterminators first thing Sunday morning. Most were closed, a few were open, and Trey was the only one that picked up the phone. He was very good about explaining the situation that I'm in and the process that he takes. He also very kindly rearranged his schedule to come take care of the issue in just a few hours after I called because he had compassion for the fact that my wife and 3 small children were so scared to have yellow jackets in the house. When he arrived, he took care of the nest, took care of the yellow jackets, and checked around the property for any other activities. He was awesome and he definitely saved the day for us! read more

Ok, so we called trey(in May 2017) because he was on google as "emergency pest services" meaning he is open way later then any other company. With that being said, he is really really expensive! Yes he stated on the phone his price, but we had a critter(rat) start to claw its way through our wall, so at that point I just wanted someone to come out. Now I'm thinking he would be here for 2 hours max.. nope he was here for almost 5! Hours just inspecting our house, so our day was set back. Yes I will say like others he's very knowledgeable and nice, BUT our bill just to inspect our property was $800+. So he said he would come out set traps,close off the accesses points within the week. It is now July 11 and he still has no returned. We have called and called and called.. all we got were empty promises. "I'll stop by later today" "I'll try to come by this weekend" never showed up. So now we have to spend more money to get some other company to come out and finish what he started. Please don't waste your time with Trey. Very nice guy, but way overpriced and never finished the job. read more

On Friday night we were terrified to hear loud scraping and wood chewing inside the wall between master bedroom and our son's bedroom. I frantically started looking for pest control services on Saturday morning. I left Trey a message on the phone and also submitted a form on his website. He called back very soon, already prepared for our conversation. He had studied our house on Google Maps in 3D, and he'd already had ideas and very good questions about our rodent problem. We called Trey Shelton at Pest Control Northwest after we were referred by another Bee Removal company that could not help us with an active yellow jacket wasp nest that was difficult to reach. The nest was especially troubling because we were getting about a dozen bees in the house every day. Trey answered the phone and came out to our house the same day. He could not find the exact location of the nest (ceiling or wall) so he treated the nest entrance in our roof. The bees were gone but he told us we may see bees again in 10-14 days when the protected bees would hatch, so just call him and he would return, no charge. 10 days later we had bees in the house again and also bees around the front door.
