Things started out well, but have ended horribly. We hired Christian based on a referral and he was able to come out to address our pest issue quickly. He recommended sealing the roof, showed the material he would use, and said he would disinfect the attic as well as pick up the traps when everything was done in a few weeks. While he was sealing a space around our AC unit, he accidentally punctured the AC pipe! We then had to find an AC tech to come out immediately. He was very picky about who we selected because of the price he would have to pay for fixing the issue, and he did pay for the repair by removing that cost from his service. After the roof was sealed, he told us he placed the traps and told us to check them every few days to see if anything was caught. Once we confirmed there was nothing he said he would come out and disinfect the attic and remove the traps, as apart of his service. After a few weeks we did not see any new activity and called him to come pick up the traps as well as disinfect, as promised. He refused to come unless we paid him to do it, but it was initially included in the price we already paid him. We sucked it up because we didn't want to pay more but we're upset that we would still have to deal with pest feces in our attic space. Now, 2 years later, we have new activity, which was confirmed by another company. They took pictures of the shoddy work that was done and showed where he left some gaps in the roof. The metal he used to seal is also much smaller than what this company was suggesting. I am beyond upset! Finally, when I messaged him about this, he immediately got defensive and said the other company was lying And his work is great! All in all, the proof is in the fact that the pests are back, there are gaps in our roof, and he never came back to finish the initial job that he promised to do, even considering the extra damage and inconvenience he did to our home via the hole in our AC unit. Two years later review: Christian is a master fixer if you have a pest problem! We had rats tunnel into our crawl space by chewing through some siding trim. They destroyed some ac ducting and pooped everywhere. Our AC guys stopped work until we got rid of the rats. Pest free showed up, removed all the rats and their nasty droppings, put in new vapor barrier, patched all the entry points with steel mesh and concrete, and left our crawl space cleaner than ever before. Very reasonable price, super smart guy that knows all about animals trying to get into houses, and always responsive to our requests for follow up inspection (more on that shortly). So a week ago we found out that there were bats in our attic....-_- And of course, we wanted to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I saw rodent droppings in my second bedroom and knew I had a problem. That weekend I went to get the rake out of the crawl space and saw droppings everywhere! Some rodents had made my crawl space home sweet home and were looking to expand into my house. Obviously, this was more of a problem than I'd initially thought. I called Pest Free Exterminating that Monday and Christian came out that Tuesday. I believe this fast response time was because it happened to be the week of the Christmas holiday and I was likely the only person interested in handling such an issue during that time. Christian Cerda went into my crawl space and called me to follow him inside. And although I was crying inside and outwardly expressing my distaste of the crawlspace, I went in. He explained that I had rats (I screamed at this horror) and that they had likely sought shelter because they could get warm on my water heater and furnace. (I thought I had squirrels because my neighborhood is full of them. I was not expecting rats at all.) He explained where the openings were and how the rats were able to squeeze through such small areas. Basically, rats are fat with small internal organs and muscles so they can squeeze their fat selves into very tiny spaces including my crawl space vents. To this day, I still wonder what they were eating because the only person who has less food in their house than I do is Daniel B. My neighbor said they were likely eating berries that were falling from the trees between our houses. Christian told me to look for any chewed books, boxes or food containers but I never saw any. Christian came out that Thursday to perform the work at my house. This is an expensive service but if you own a home then you already know that any service costs as much as a Mexican vacation and it's better to come home to a rodent-free house than to visit Cancun. Christian and his workmate did a great job. The vents are all covered with a mesh that cannot be chewed through. He put a cement block on my crawl space door and reinforced the opening with fresh wood so that the rats could no longer crawl in through there. He cleaned the crawl space and put down the best vapor barrier I've had. My crawl space is so much cleaner that I only had to take three deep breaths before going in to change my furnace filter yesterday. (Normally, I have to breath multiple times and let out a few pitiful moans.) Christian also sealed my roof area where there were gaps that allowed the rats to get into my attic. Since the work was performed, Christian or another person has come to check the traps they left behind (just in case one of the little critters was hiding in the walls when the initial work was performed.) But they did such a good job that on all the subsequent visits not one rat has been in the traps, and I have not seen any droppings. I got estimates from four different well-reviewed companies to have squirrels and other rodents excluded from my attic -- nothing like going in the attic and having two pairs of eyes stare back at you. ) : Exclusion services are not cheap but I don't feel that it's a good do-it-yourself project unless your house is one-story and small. My house is two-story and large with lots of different roof lines and nooks and crannies. Two of the exclusion services I interviewed were significantly higher than Cristian's quote. Added to that, the rep for one of the services I interviewed started dropping his price a week after I first met with him when I hadn't gotten back to him because I hadn't finished getting estimates from other companies. He then told me he'd match any other company's price. That was a big turnoff for me. I was thinking: "why didn't you quote me your best price in the first place?" I am so glad I went with Cristian, not only because he was so reasonably priced, but because he gave me such personal attention and was completely accommodating in every way. Cristian is as good as it gets when it comes to wildlife extermination! I heard a critter in the walls, which is really unsettling when you hear it crawling behind your head in the middle of the night!! Cristian not only sent me several videos of his work at other houses prior to his arrival, but determined that it was probably roof rats, due to them being on the ground level. He also sent video as he went through sections of my roof, showing the vast open spaces where just anything could get in. We got protection all around the roof on both the first and second levels, but he also added additional protection around the attic vent and HVAC as well. I normally dont write many reviews, but some folks do such a great job that they deserve a review. Cristian is bar none a top notch person when it comes to exterminating pests. His customer service is also second to none. We had a guy who came out and noticed that we may have a pest problem. After calling Cristian he came out the second day and began to point out all the issues and problems that he noticed with pests. Luckily in our case the issue was found early enough to where it was not an infestation. We scheduled a time and he came out in a few days and began to close all the holes and areas where the rats could possibly come in from. He worked from morning till late and over the course of 2 days was able to complete his job (another person may have taken 3-4 days in my opinion). He also put down traps and came back to check on them over the next month. To this day we have not had an issue with the pests, and I am comfortable with the way he closed everything that the house is now more secure than before and the pests cant come back in. His 2 year warranty also provides peace of mind which no other company offers from what I have seen.
