George at Pest Guard is knowledgeable, helpful and personable. We had heard noises coming from under the house in our crawl space. He showed us how to secure areas where a rat or other animal could have entered our crawl space He explained the habits of various rodents and clearly used that information to strategically place traps . At his recommendation, we extended the period of keeping the traps after one rat was caught. In that way we would be sure to catch any possible remaining ones though we heard no more noise. Extending that period gave us peace of mind in the end, once no more rodents were trapped. These guys saved my house from bed bugs... and also saved my marriage! Since my neighbor has Terminix spray the outside of her home every quarter I signed up for the same with them because all the spiders would just run to my house. This way they spray both our yards at the same time. I wake up on a Tuesday to find bed bugs in my bed. I had heard about bed bugs but didn't know how devastating they could be. I naturally called Terminix. "We can be there Thursday", the rep said. They told me it would take a couple of days for me to prep my home anyways and they would charge me $695 to spray my entire house. I was in shock about the entire situation. I called a friend and got a referral to Pest Guard. I live in San Fernando Valley and they were in Newhall, so I wasn't sure if they would come this far. Based on the information I gave them, they said that they might not need to spray the entire home because it appeared it might be localized to my master bedroom. They would charge me for one room, if so. They were able to come out the same day to spray and came about 4-5 hours after my call so I would have time to prep my room. They sent me two page instructions on prepping. My wife had they day off and prepped the room. The guy came and inspected the house. Besides our master bedroom he only found eggs in one of our children's rooms on the headboard of the bed. He said he wouldn't need to bomb that room because none of the eggs had hatched. He was inspecting the inside of the box spring with a flashlight. It was clear. He offered to just spray my child's headboard and base boards of the wall for FREE. My wife asked him to spray the base boards in the hallway as well and asked to charge whatever he needed to. He added a small amount for the extra work. He sprayed and bombed out master bedroom as well. Two weeks later he came back to check everything out. My son's room was cleared of bed bugs and he bombed the master bedroom as follow up. One week later and we moved back into our room. We had been sleeping on air mattresses in my living room with our clothes in bins for 3 weeks. I waited until the job was complete to write this review. I am so grateful that these guys came out immediately and took the time to inspect my house thoroughly and not have to do unnecessary work and charge me for it. I also have a 30 day guarantee! I got different price quotes from them for roaches pest control. First, Carlo said it's $40 because they have been doing business with my HOA. When I called their number, I talked to Adamo and told me the price is $80. Later, I got a voicemail from Adamo saying the price is really $120 because our HOA has no contract with them. Then I called Carlo to re-verify with the pricing and we agreed at $100. I chose them because they are our HOA preferred vendor. All is set for Saturday 9am. 30 minutes later, they did not show up. I called them, it went to voicemaiI. I left a message, they did not return my call. I waited another two hours, they still did not show up. Their behavior is totally unprofessional. I held off my other appointments because I waited for them. I am so disappointed. If they can't honor their commitment, I can't imagine how much worse their service can be. read more

They came to our place 3 times. First time they spent 3 min to do treatment. And didn't do anything. 2nd and 3rd time they did treatment and we still have many roaches in the kitchen.. And all of our kitchen stuff on the flor again. They are pretty bad with responding phone calls as well. I called them 7 times left them a message and no bodh called back. They were supposed to be at my place at between 10 and 12 but didn't showed up. And couldn't contact with them. Before they come they never called. This company has been great! We had ants really bad (we live in Van Nuys near the airport). They were EVERYWHERE! I even saw some in our closet in the bedroom! We had another company come and they didn't work at all (you can see my other review). The first time they came out, they sprayed inside and out. We did see ants in 3 weeks but they stood by their word and came back out for free and sprayed again (both inside and out). Since then...NO ANTS!!! We had used these guys in the past and José was amazing. We called back in November for a pest problem. José came out again, he remembered us from a few years back. He sprayed and fogged. We stayed out of the house passed the suggested time frame. The pests never seemed to go away as they had in the past and came back full force with new friends withon 3 weeks. I am disappointed because in the past he simply sprayed and the problem was eliminated.
